- The 2012 Cadillac Escalade SLP 525 packs a TVS 2300 high-output supercharger to the 'Slade's 6.2-liter V8, then adds a cold-air induction, PowerFlo exhaust, an ECU tune, 15-inch Brembo brakes, 22-inch alloy wheels, and, for good measure, drops it by 2 inches.

those slalom and skidpad numbers are very impressive for how big that SUV is.
Luxury, big motor, big body, & straight line fun; yep sounds like a Caddilac. Love it
I like my escalade a lot and it's great for the engineers to be adding horsepower to the car but I think instead of starting at the engine they should improve the interior quality. I buy an SUV because of the space and luxurious comfort it offers. The last thing I want when relaxing in the back is the driver speeding around with rough suspension.

Bringing that tank to a stop in 118 ft from 60 is pretty respectable.

This great thing about this car is that it's more powerful than any supercharged Range Rover, AMG Mercedes ML-class, V12 Audi Q7, it's actually more powerfull than Porsche Cayenne Turbo
They do offer a 700 hp version. Uses a custom built LS7 based 427 cid engine equipped with SLP's TVS2300 supercharger.

@TheMercuryMarauder I've researched it for you the SLP is the vehicle tuner specialized for GM,much like the AMG or BRABUS. The SLP stands for "Street Legal Performance". I think you can buy this car at Cadillac dealer anytime soon. the price is $115,975.

This truck moves like a sports car 5 sec to 60 mph my goodness. And I don't know of any truck that size that would not have turned over going that fast around corners.

The Escalade is pretty cute. The only thing I do not like are the types of rim it use. They look to much like the rim a low-level street gang guy will use.

heck with a gasser. i wanna put a duramax crd in her. dual fuel pumps. bully dog lift pump. big rails, 100 hp injectors, twin turbos.. huge intercooler.. mahle pistons.. suncoast transmission.. the works. for 5k lbs. it would spin all four tires.

Umm, you mean the redesigned pushrod engine that GM uses now? Because virtually all piston engines now are overhead valve. And as far as outdated, the OHV pushrod engine design is only about as old as the OHC design with the first use of a DOHC engine being around 1912. And if I'm not mistaken, some SOHC engines, mainly for aircraft, were developed even earlier. So, saying that a pushrod engine is outdated simply because OHC engines are 'more modern' isn't really correct.
