    I have a rare incurable cancer. Stage 4. Expected to die within months after I first saw my oncology team. Almost 4 years later I'm still here and my latest treatment is annihilating the tumors. I eat a vegan diet and have done so since I was diagnosed. Even my oncology team admits that my diet has something to do with my still being here. This cancers treatment has caused hypothyroidism, Addison's Disease, pancreatic insufficiency...and I deal with it all. I take meds and eat really, really well. I have so much energy I'm tiring out people who have "good" health but don't eat a plant based diet. Even after infusion when I'm dealing with bad chemo side effects, I'm doing better than some. I make amazing food and I'm keeping myself alive. Next week I get to meet my new grandbaby! If you're not eating vegan, I'd suggest you try it for a month or so and see how good you feel

They feel so much better leading in their wellness, living with awareness. The type of person that would benefit are the kind of people that have a large amount of weight to lose and have some sort of processing problem like diabetes. Keto, which is to say eating healthy grass fed and finished meats and vegetables with very low net carbohydrate content is critical in maintaining vascular health long term. This reduces or eliminates the primary causes of heart disease, diabetes, eye disease, kidney failure... It is simply eating healthy unprocessed real foods, nothing on the inside walls of the grocery store found in a box or bag with multiple ingredients, much less a bag of flour or sugar.

    The general over all health of people has declined the last few decades.
    Even children today have signs of artery disease. Fast foods and sugary drinks have long term consequences.
    There is an obesity epidemic today where over 60% of the population is overweight or obese.
    What is common today and "NORMAL" is not healthy. The average person today is not healthy and is taking medications.
    Heart attacks were once only common in people over 65. Today people in their 40 are having heart attacks.
    Add more plants and vegetables to your diet and less junk and overly processed foods. Being thin is a sign of good health. Being over weight or obese is a sign of bad health. Poor diet, lack of exercise and obesity are contributing to high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

I originally started eating this way after taking a wellness course back in 1985. I started gradually in the beginning to eliminate meat, then dairy, or any other animal products one category at a time. I quit for a number of years, because I didn't quite understand a lot about what I was doing at the time, before I started back again in 2017. It was very easy for me to switch back over to plant based eating this time, because I had done it before in the past. I don't find myself ever wanting to quit ever again this time.

    Ref. 42:10 While I was vegetarian (12 years vegan now but vegetarian 10 years before that) I suffered from depression. When I went vegan the depression went away. I still can get sad sometimes but the depth and intensity is no longer there and I have a reason to be sad.. whereas before I didn't. I look back and I believe my depression must have come from something in the dairy that was in there because the mama cows were hurting so much after having their babies stolen from them. I always wish I went vegan sooner.

    Great interview. Really cool what he’s doing. I wish more doctors would follow his lead. He did seem a bit thrown off when the interviewer asked him what he eats in a day. Didn’t sound like enough calories for a day. If you’re gonna be raw vegan, you have to get a LOT of fruit in or you’ll be hungry. Either that or you’re going to end up eating high fat, which is not good either.

    I’m currently on a monthly b12 injection due to acute pernicious anemia a year ago. I was wheelchair bound for a few weeks and I’m slowly attempting to regain strength in legs including balancing. I also developed hypersensitivity to magnetic fields from electricity which results in the stiffness of my legs, if in contact. The medical treatment is to double or triple meat intake, including organ meat, which I have in last year, but no results. I’ve always practiced intermittent fasting, but I’m looking into how to best heal nutritionally. Is a vegan lifestyle safe for me in my condition?

    What foods do you eat is it all raw? What veggies to eat raw ?

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  5 месяцев назад

      He does all raw, but it's not necessary to do all wrong. Most of us on this channel eat a high ratio of raw foods. But I like to suggest people consider all of the categories such as legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices and a variety of each. Within these and between these there's tens if not hundreds of thousands of edible plant options. And they can all be done raw especially if you sprout legumes and grains. But there's no need to do that as far as we know. So I cook my grains and legumes. I also cook most of my veggies and mushrooms. But that's just me, I'm not the doctor. The daily dozen app buy nutritionfacts.org might be an easy free good way for you to get started. And just Google recipes for whole Food plant-based.

      There may be some processed stuff in there but minimally processed there's different levels of processing and when it uses whole ingredients especially just a few it's no different than mixing things together in the kitchen.
