Would love if this became a series! Like, Liz Taylor, Audrey, Mae West, Greta Garbo, Betty Grable etc and their signature makeup looks! Much love, Sweden
It is. If you look at her channel she has a ton of these types of videos up already. Historic makeup look tutorials I mean, aside from the one that's Jessica Rabbit. These are fun to watch!
FINALLY someone does an authentic and well researched Marylin Monroe makeup look!! So many people do what the call an “authentic” Marylyn that is actually a modern interpretation rather than a recreation.
This was absolutely brilliant! The way you created her signature look was not only excellently done, it was respectfully appreciated. I'm sure Marilyn Monroe is looking down from Heaven smiling with adoring eyes!
She was so lovely but so sad. Her image has been splashed everywhere; even in death she hasn’t gotten any peace. Your historical make up looks are how I found your channel years ago and I subscribed because I liked your videos so much. This was another great one!
Thank you for the look back into Marilyn Monroe. My husband was obsessed, with her and accumulated quite a collection. There are many things that have stayed packed since his untimely death. We were both members of the TCM Club and have a large assortment of movie memorabilia. Marilyn being number one!
As someone who’s had really severe depression, I empathize with and relate so much to Marilyn - you did her justice here and I had never heard the cow fact 🐮❤️ now when I go out with my friends I’m gonna put on a “Marilyn look” to help me be retro-classy and more confident. Thank you so much!!
One cool thing I read about Marilyn's 'look' is that her eyebrows were called "Diva Arches" back in the 1950s. She and some other actresses also had them.:)
Been a huge fan of all things Marilyn Monroe since I was about 14, and now thanks to my love for her my 6 year old son saw your thumb nail and said "that's Marilyn Monroe, mommy you should watch that one" absolutely beautiful and thank you for this!!! Loved all the pop up facts in the corner ☺️♥️
Fabulous! I'm so glad you are doing more of these videos, it’s fascinating seeing how the looks are created. I never would have guessed how her eye look was achieved. Thank you so much for a informative and fun video. Xx
Yeah... The more would give away the secret.... Without it people won't know for sure what iconic image they're seeing that's so uncanny. Especially with different hair.
Im sitting here with a few thoughts, firstly youy slay as ms marylin. Secondly, dang she was the queen of contor before contor was a thing...dang sis. Thirdly, gone before her time. 😢
Exceptionally well done, Beauty. I LOVE all things Marilyn. I wish her a Happy Birthday on the 1st of June - every year - and have many of her images around my home. She was sad, beautiful, talented, tormented and a true icon. Thank you for this upload, from the bottom of my heart. Bless you
What a great video. Loved it Zabrena you looked gorgeous. You really did a fabulous job with the makeup, and all the pop up facts were great. Thanks heaps xxx
Yes! I love your period makeup tutorials. I love how you research every aspect and share the wealth of information. I always though her signature look was so amazing and natural looking. I always wondered how she did her eyes. Now I know. Love this video and this look on you is stunning. xo
Your eyes are identical to MM. I'm going as MM for Halloween so i came here for a MM tutorial. From all the other's I've seen, your tutorial is the BEST. I'll be sure to have your video by my side, following each step. I hope I will do half as good of a job.🤞
I absolutely love Marilyn Monroe. Her makeup was so beautiful and thanks for posting that page with all her makeup shown. I’d like to visit her crypt one day since I live very close to the cemetery in California.
A lot of Korean artists use the "shadow" technique. I wonder if that is where they got it? You should do a Park Bom tutorial. Her eyes are almost creepy but still kind of cool.
As far as I know this "shadow from the eyelashes" trick is pretty common in stage makeup (theater, opera, ballet). I've seen a lot of backstage pictures from late 1880s with actors and actresses wearing this kind of eye makeup.
ruclips.net/video/RAneUTr8mog/видео.html Lisa Eldridge discusses how much Vaseline she used and her general skin care routine 1:09 ...Hope this help Wish you well 😃
@@daisymae3717 way back when I used to have really bad eczema on my face and I used to use Vaseline on my skin. It was the only thing that could soften my dry spots. So she probably had dry skin as well!
I love these videos when you do them. I learn so much more then I did and I can apply the looks I love in today's world. I really like the way the eyes are done. Never would've thought to Add the shadow line to give the illusion of longer lashes or the red dot... brilliant! Can't wait to give this look A go. Hope all is going well for you and baby #3. ❤
Yes it was all fingers and sponge aplicators. It was made for the big screen makeup so, lots if it too! I know she used to put layer upon layer of lipstick- blotting inbetween applications.
Cutie Pie! I love it. Marilyn had her own production company, she was her own boss. She had peach fuzz all over her face and refused to shave it because it defused light and gave her a soft focus look. She had plastic surgery early in her career, nose and chin. Fun Fact: Marilyn was always on. Whether the camera was on or off she carried herself in a very feminine way with her toes usually pointed downward and sit on one hip sideways. Marilyn was not a dump blond, that was an act so was the voice. She was a avid reader and she would hold book club meeting in her home where they will discuss current and classic literature with many literary writers of that day. Actually, if one considered the totality of what she did when she was alive she was a feminist who controlled her career and the men who loved her.
Excellent job Ms. Z.! I love all things Marilyn & this video was spot on. If you have time, could you review the Wet n Wild Halloween Eye pallettes? They look like so much fun!
Marilyn was such an amazing person! I actually have a friend who met her in California when he was shopping at the grocery store. He had some pretty amazing stories about her, and watching this was pretty cool! I have always been amazed by her, and even though her life ended in tragedy, she is definitely an icon that will never be forgotten! Thank you for this video Zabrena:).
Thank you so much! I love these videos you're so good at what you do, I hope you can do a historically accurate viking women makeup routine and a gypsy one ! Love you!🌞💖
Very nice. I always thought her eye look was more complex, it is very easy but glam at the same time. The facts were interesting to read, thank you for a great tutorial.
Stunning!! It's weird to think about putting vaseline as primer 😄 and it's incredible to know that those red lipstick shades are still available! I've been on a simplified makeup look recently (French inspired) where I'm not wearing eye shadow, just liner, mascara and lipstick, and have been wearing all colors, but the reds are just so iconic and classic. I know what I'm buying this weekend...more red lipstick 😄
Would love if this became a series! Like, Liz Taylor, Audrey, Mae West, Greta Garbo, Betty Grable etc and their signature makeup looks!

I agree!
I would love that too!!!!😀

The added “fun facts” quotation bubbles are reminiscent of good old VH1 Pop-Up Videos. Very enjoyable and of course well done! Thank you Zabrena❣️❤️

You absolutely NAILED her eyes, and I had no idea how much contouring she did!! So fun, thank you for sharing 💝💝💝
Thank you! It's amazing to see how much work went into her eye look alone!
I love everything about this makeup look! Everything on the eyes, eyebrows, glowy skin, and red lips!! 😍💕💄💋

Such a wonderful tutorial. Thank you!
A lot of Korean artists use the "shadow" technique. I wonder if that is where they got it? You should do a Park Bom tutorial. Her eyes are almost creepy but still kind of cool.
That would be hard because Park Bom gets her look mostly from all the plastic surgery she had done to her eyes.
As far as I know this "shadow from the eyelashes" trick is pretty common in stage makeup (theater, opera, ballet). I've seen a lot of backstage pictures from late 1880s with actors and actresses wearing this kind of eye makeup.
@@jnm2088 hahaha, true but I meant the make up parts of it. Bless her heart. I love Bom but she needs to stop now.
I love your videos, especially the historical ones! ❤
How much vaseline are we talking here? That sounds kind of uncomfortable. So happy you’re bringing this series back.
I'm not sure, but it did seem like it would be to me, too.
ruclips.net/video/RAneUTr8mog/видео.html Lisa Eldridge discusses how much Vaseline she used and her general skin care routine 1:09 ...Hope this help Wish you well 😃
I kinda thought Vaseline sounds awful to use on the face, maybe she had realy dry skin?
