We used to hook all the bottom curved tabs into the trims bottom groove. Press upwards on the trim and then snap the top edge over the top of the clip.
Hey man, they actually make a tool to get under to release those clips. Also those 2 tabs on the bottom of the white clips are designed to flex so that back piece actually can be snapped on after the corner pieces are in place. You hook the bottom first, push up and snap it in place
I know Im randomly asking but does someone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Calvin Nathaniel i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I bought a new grill from LMC for my 79, put the 78 and older headlight buckets in mine though, wanted a 73 grill but they didn’t make them back then. Made the mistake of using the screws that came with the grill cause they were new, they rusted and stained my grill. They were just chrome plated and not stainless.
No. Just take this video down so you're not messing people up. Its not as difficult as you made it. Those back tabs you were lifting sit flush on the paint and keep the panel from scratching the paint. The panel itself is an easy lift and snap into place. Anyone following will end up with scuffed paint over time or at install.

My daughter and I are in the middle of restoring her 1980 c20 and this is exactly what we needed today!

Many ways to do that. I like the pick idea thanks for the tip.
Is the molding OEM or Repro?
Awesome working on a 79 K30 thanks
I just removed mine today and advice to use WD40 on the back of sliding trim it will make it easy and smooth to slide

#2 great video keep them coming
Uhm I hate to say it but this is totally wrong on how to install this trim. Also, clips are upside down. Ears go up
Jason Seal comment is the right way to do it. Easier, faster and you won't scratch your paint
anybody know how to remove the same one from the tailgate?
