    There is really no need to remove the inner fender separately, the whole fender assembly can be removed with the inner fender still bolted onto it. Other than that, good video and clearly showed all the bolt locations which other videos fail to clearly show.

    Well done video, just the good stuff. Recently got a 1990 Burb and need to replace these. Great to find out I can swap them with hand tools and no welds. Thanks!

    Interesting. I always remove the inner and outer fender as one unit. I only separate them off the vehicle and only if I plan on replacing one of them with a new part. I thought for sure that was the advice you were gonna provide with this vid. I was wrong.

    The inner fenders could take between 20min to 2 days to get out lol. On my truck every single thread clip broke and I had to take a cut off wheel and grind the head off of everyone of those 1/2 in bolts. It was miserable but now that I went through all the work the 1st time now I can take those fenders in and out in like 10 min but man that 1st time was a real struggle.

    Thanks. I've seen a video on hood removal from an '88-'98 Chevy pickup showing one guy (with long arms) doing it. But the older squarebody style trucks have wider hoods which are probably heavier. I could see big back and neck pains if I tried to do that one solo.

    Hey brother I'm 18 kinda of new to building and swapping engines. Iv done just about everything just about except breaking down the block or removing it. Most of all my projects are old school chevys and s10 series trucks. Think you could dumb it down for me on swapping or rebuilding ?

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  4 года назад

      I am not an engine expert! I still don't have a motor yet but I will more than likely do a LS swap. When I get that far I will post some videos covering that. If your thinking about doing a LS swap check out "the driveway engineer" channel. He has a lot of LS swap videos and how to do them yourself. Good luck and thanks for watching

    I want to know how to get the trim piece off the front of the fender! Mines just like the one your working on. Mine doesn’t have speed nuts o. The back side like some I’ve worked on. It has to white plastic rectangular block where speed nuts have been in the past!

    Can you put a badge on your truck by just removing the lower part? Trying to put my gmc jimmy emblem on!

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  3 года назад +1

      You can try it but I don't think you will be able to reach the rear nut. If your old emblem is already off and your just installing a new one you could try using barrel clips or 3m double sided automotive trim tape. Thanks for watching!

    Can a new inner fender be put in without the hood and outer fender being removed?

  • @drserge714
    @drserge714 3 года назад

    My C20 has what I can best describe as a fender brace on both sides (not sure if it's single piece). It mounts underneath the radiator/fan sitting on top of the chassis and connects into the front bottom corner of the outer fenders. No idea how to remove it / what exactly the part is called. You already had it removed in your video -- do you know what its called and how to remove it?

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  3 года назад

      Is it one brace for each side? Or one piece that goes completely across the front? Could you snap some pics and email them to me? What year is your C20? offroadfarmchris@gmail.com I'll take a look. Thanks for watching

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  5 лет назад

      Yes there is. you can see that bracket at 1:03. It comes off with the inner fender

      @@Offroadfarm1 it doesnt come off of the inner fender do you think if i bought a new inner fender it would come with it

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  5 лет назад

      Mine didn't come off either. It seems to be part of the inner fender. I have no idea if if it would be on a new inner fender. Keep in mind if you buy a "new" inner fender it is more than likely going to be a reproduction of the original part and will probably not be a OEM part. Reproductions are normally very close to the original but can have some minor differences. My guess is even if it didn't have that bracket it would still have those bolt holes so you could bolt it in. Hope this helps and thanks for watching

    Is there any way to remove the two fenders. And the radiator support. All together. As one?

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  4 года назад +1

      Yes, just leave the bolts through the radiator support into the fender. Remove the fender bolts that mount to the cab, and the radiator support body mount bolts. I think you will have to remove your inner fenders unless you don't have a motor installed. Make sure you have someone or something to help you lift all that at once.good luck on your project, and thanks for watching!
