What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's a non-scientific word that an everyday person came up with to describe the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps but much more pleasant and without the uncomfortable chills.
ASMR videos are meant to intentionally induce this sensation in the viewer, often referred to as "tingles", but the videos also serve to provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer. Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy effect.

I'm so pleased to meet you, especially right now when the universe and my brain seem to be experiencing too much synchronicity.
I don't get the tingles. But it's very nice to have caretakers who are gentle and humorous. My usual lot are not nearly that, and I'm dealing with them all day every day, these days.

I've been quietly following this channel for a bit over a year now ( I know I'm lazy with the likes) and it does my general mental state a tremendous service. I am calmer, sleep better, have less anxiety issues and temper. Out of the many roles Rift playes, I enjoy Dave among the most. The softspoken way of his performances are so soothing and feel so wholesome.

Dr. Dave was in the first ER video I ever watched. I was confused and weirded out and didn't watch another one for years...can't actually recall what made me watch him again, but seeing Dr. Dave after all this time makes me happy ♥

Yo bois I think were on to something, only in the book Gradus ad Parnassum does it contain the phrase "sa itarius", and Gradus ad Parnassum means to take the steps up to a mountain range. Mountain ranges are often to be seen as majestic and eye opening, perhaps ER is suggesting that being Harvested is a step toward something greater, such as maybe an elder god cult, as in line with his common Lovecraftian themes in his videos
Deep One Dave, Corvus and Frank Walker are probably my fav characters, of yours. It's probably due to their vocal speaking range being quite soft but not too soft. But also because I like the "checkup" ASMR, hearing the pen/pencil/quill on paper, as well as checking blood pressure, etc. Then again I like all of the characters, but they just happen to be the ones that I listen to as I sleep.
