As a professional camp dawg breed expert, I’m going to have to say he is definitely pure bred. He appears to be a 100% good boy. No doubt about it. I lost my camp dawg recently to cancer. As we speak my in-laws are heading home after picking up my new pup, Diesel. While he will never be my wingman Gunner, I’m looking forward to introducing him to the camping/fishing life. Toby looks like he’s made himself right at home.

I would be lost without my dog. I was lost when I had my last dog put to sleep after 15.5 years. I don’t trust anyone who does not like dogs. What a great looking pup! I go to a farm every two weeks with my dog. He has been going with me since week one. He took right to it. He knows the routine. We always make time for those and the things we love.
First of all, thank you for adopting a rescue dog. Second, I think you found a winner in Toby. Third, I love dogs,and I look forward to vicariously having a dog through your videos. Keep up the great work!

Toby is a pibbs. We just said goodbye to our sweet pibby this year. She was the best. Never nipped at anyone or anything. Pit bulls get a bad rap. Enjoy Toby.

I'm older now, but I grew up with dogs. My last 1 went 18 yrs. And I have to say it is AWSOME not to have a dog to worry about. I don't have to run him every single day, I don't have to chase him with the quad cuz he's chasing a coyote, deer,jack rabbit or anything else he could find to chase. I don't believe a big dog can get the exercise it's needs on a leash. Unless your a marathon runner. I'm not so I let my dogs be dogs and run with the freedom any animal deserves for 5 to 10 miles everyday on blm land.
Doggies rule, especially Pitties !

Hi Kenny! Binge watching your videos as we are currently winter camping in Merritt British Columbia. We have a dodge 3500 and adventurer camper and spend more time living in this unit than we do in our home :)

Toby is the Perfect mix of cuteness! After 30 yrs of not having a dog, I finally opened my heart to one the day before Mother's Day. Something told me to go to that kill shelter & I came home with Rosebud! She is just 5 months old...lots of time to enjoy her being a happy puppy. Thank You so much for sharing this Amazing Adventure, it was Wonderful!

Mandi has been keeping an eye on the comments while I was at work. I have someone who put dibs on the bottle this afternoon. While I'm out on my travels, I'm going to keep my eyes open for those kinds of things. It's amazing how many old tools and household items are in the woods. Every once in a while, I'll come across license plates from the 40's and 50's, old hub caps from the 30's, and tools that loggers and trappers dropped on the ground 100 years ago. It would be cool to share those items with people all over the US. I'll just have to make sure everyone knows I'll pay for shipping. I don't want scammers to start telling viewers they need to send money for shipping out an item.

He is the best! I've been taking him along camping every weekend. The folks love watching Toby grow up in front of their eyes. This past weekend, he spotted something on a forest trail that turned us around in our tracks. He's a great partner to have out in the woods! I'll link that video if you're interested.

Be careful on that ice. We had a snowmobile go through the ice with 2 teens on it, here in the U.P. and unfortunately one did not survive. It's been a bad year for ice and snowmobiling.
Thats so sad! I feel sorry for the family. You are right, this year has not been good for the ice.

That dog is clearly a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll. I agree with someone else here that Toby is pitbull/choc. lab. He is a very chill puppy which means he's maybe in a growth spurt. I wouldn't be surprised if his energy level jumps three fold suddenly. I guess we'll all get to see. 😀
