i get like that sometimes, keep trying though, some people feel that way about me and get jealous which actually makes me feel kinda sad...i want people to get inspired by me..not feel bad.....so im trying hard to actually come up with a set of rules, guidelines and references that nobody really shares, theres so many things professional artists never shared with people and i had to figure them out on my own, i feel like there has to be a secret to getting better at art faster other then just "practice" and "Talent" cause I'd say thats not helpful to anyone
@ Ministress... I remember when I was 20 yrs old and went to NYC for the 1st time... a girlfriend and I visited MOMA and numerous art galleries as well. By the end of the week I felt like just giving up art and work a hotdog stand. At night we went out to lots of clubs and listened to all kinds of music and it struck me that there's all kinds of music for all kinds of people. So what's the point? Well no matter what you may think of your struggles with art there's someone out there that might see something you've done and it may move them in ways you haven't considered. Besides... what a boring world it would be if we only had one singer... one band... one song. PS -- practice practice practice and when you're done... practice some more.
I stopped painting for months because of these thoughts and I still do. once, (okay more than once) I actually crumpled and threw away my artworks, mostly I burned them because I thought ,"there are so many out there. me being one or not doesn't make a difference." etc etc.

That’s normal tho, and actually recommended, unless you have a photographic memory. I use references ALL the time, and so do most professionals, unless they’ve drawn it a billion times already. :)

Most of this is true for me, except that I can actually afford to take art classes, but im very independent so I teach myself, and my sketchbook pages always fill up so I can never really draw anything else, and im actually a really good artist for my age :P
I know that I am gonna ruin it but do it anyway and when it is ruined I just become a little sad for like 20 seconds and dump it in the dustbin and move on. Waste of time and paint but......... 😏
I’m a self taught artist, with very low self-esteem too. Also the young artist, but not with “ungodly abilities”. Just regular art, sometimes it looks awful though.

Also, despite being known as the "copic queen", her skill and technique when it comes to using copic markers has barely improved over the years (contrast this with more advanced techniques used by Japanese artists who work with copics for example). Some of her more recent videos use copic markers in the thumbnails to gain clicks, but the video features a very short segment on them and the content itself is just plane boring e.g. putting her copic markers away in her storage case.
You do realise I am kidding, right? I know buying expensive materials doesn't make me an expert, I posted the comment as a joke. I improve my art as much as I can and experiementing with materials that are more expensive is my choice, I know what I am capable of.

So I was drawing today, and it was starting to look pretty good, when two random girls I don't think I've ever seen in any of my classes just came over and just wrote their names _on top of my drawing, _*_with a pen._* It's not weird that my first instinct was to kill them both, right? (Okay I only killed them in my head but still)
I can one-up you on that one; Back when i was in school i was very shy, i mostly just doodled during class (when i was done with assignments of course). Then one day i was drawing a portait of a girl and i had a terrible day but the drawing made me feel good, i stepped out of class for a moment to go to the bathroom, when i got back the boys in my classroom had scribbled penises WITH PEN on my drawing, and not just on that 1 drawing but every single one in my workbook. Literally had a total breakdown in class, just sobbed for the remaining duration of the class while other kids giggled, left school early that day.. Definitely a memorable day in a traumatizing sort of way.
Omg almost the same thing happened to me ok so I spent three days on a painting that I was really happy with and my brother had his freind over and they came down into the basement I was like ok then they came into my art room and I didn’t want them touching my stuff but I let them use my glue to build a model plane. Then they asked if they could paint I said sure and set them up a work staition away from my painting with some paint that weren’t like really expensive. Because all of my expensivepaint was still in boxes waiting to be unpacked so i was using my best friends paint for my painting I went to grab a pencil I just turned around to the pencil cup on the shelf behind me and I turn around and he had squeezed the entire tube of the paint that’s like fifty dollars a tube all over the painting. The cops still haven’t found the body. Just kidding I didn’t kill him

That description is me, but I never carry a sketchbook with me. At first, I don't know were I should carry it (maybe I should get an extra bag for it) and second, since the boys in my class drawed a penis at my first girl I ever drawed I'm kind of scared taking my art with me. And I have a friend at school, that want to teach me everything and does ignore that I have my own ways of learn drawing and do art. That's annoying. Aaaand these children that wanted that I teach them to draw were annoying too. So I'm drawing mostly when I can protect my art and when there's nobody that can interrupt me. I hope my English is fine, I'm still learning. :)

I'm the 'im really happy with this piece so I'm not going to finish it, just in case I ruin it' And it started when I drew tsuyu asui and everything was perfect untile I realized that I didn't have the right skin tone color for her and since I colored everything in copics I tried to color in her skin to......she looks like a tomato. Well, she looks kinda like she has a really bad sunburn. After that I stopped coloring in and sometimes even doing the line art for my drawings. Untill like a few months ago I found out I could do it with color pencils and it wouldn't really ruin it. -------------------------------------------------------- I'm also the self taught artist, I think. When I started drawing I just looked at stuff and started to try and copy the look without tracing it. (cuz to me, if I trace it's a sin. But if other ppl trace and give credit then I'm fine with them) but I do use tutorials to see the finished project so I can just kinda copy the look. I also search up art tips a lot. -----------------------------------------------------------

Literally had a total breakdown in class, just sobbed for the remaining duration of the class while other kids giggled, left school early that day.. Definitely a memorable day in a traumatizing sort of way.
Omg almost the same thing happened to me ok so I spent three days on a painting that I was really happy with and my brother had his freind over and they came down into the basement I was like ok then they came into my art room and I didn’t want them touching my stuff but I let them use my glue to build a model plane. Then they asked if they could paint I said sure and set them up a work staition away from my painting with some paint that weren’t like really expensive. Because all of my expensivepaint was still in boxes waiting to be unpacked so i was using my best friends paint for my painting I went to grab a pencil I just turned around to the pencil cup on the shelf behind me and I turn around and he had squeezed the entire tube of the paint that’s like fifty dollars a tube all over the painting.
The cops still haven’t found the body.

That description is me, but I never carry a sketchbook with me. At first, I don't know were I should carry it (maybe I should get an extra bag for it) and second, since the boys in my class drawed a penis at my first girl I ever drawed I'm kind of scared taking my art with me. And I have a friend at school, that want to teach me everything and does ignore that I have my own ways of learn drawing and do art. That's annoying. Aaaand these children that wanted that I teach them to draw were annoying too. So I'm drawing mostly when I can protect my art and when there's nobody that can interrupt me. I hope my English is fine, I'm still learning. :)

I know I'm not the best at art but I was disqualified at school at an art competition because the teachers said I would discourage the younger kids to do the competition. 0_0 I also stay up way too late drawing.

And it started when I drew tsuyu asui and everything was perfect untile I realized that I didn't have the right skin tone color for her and since I colored everything in copics I tried to color in her skin to......she looks like a tomato. Well, she looks kinda like she has a really bad sunburn. After that I stopped coloring in and sometimes even doing the line art for my drawings. Untill like a few months ago I found out I could do it with color pencils and it wouldn't really ruin it.

But if other ppl trace and give credit then I'm fine with them) but I do use tutorials to see the finished project so I can just kinda copy the look. I also search up art tips a lot.

One day I just felt like drawing something, (this was before I started my art) I went onto RUclips, thought that drawing an eye was a cool idea, followed a tutorial for about 2 hours and it turned out really good. I started drawing more things and realized I was good at drawing
