Fantastic video Del and special thanks to Jeff for sharing his amazing arcade. This has to be the best private collection I have ever seen, so many rare and wonderful games all in one place it’s absolutely stunning. Buck Rogers was the game I played as a kid as well and so cool to see that game again. Great video and top guys 😎👍
ummm holy shiiiiiiiit Jeff, what an amazing setup and the attention to detail in the setups omg. Lot of love put into everything that's been done! Respect!
I spent every quarter that came my way in the Arcade. Back then there were 3 or 4 of them within blocks of each other, and I would wander through, watching people play, and playing a bit myself too. What I found fascinating was this odd sensation that would come over me after having spent an hour or so hopping from one Arcade to another, I would start to feel 'Videogame - drunk' ( this is what I named this feeling I get ) Anyone else experience anything similar?
Howdy ya'll, Ya, I'm 53 too, so you got to play all these games when they debuted too, Very Cool indeed 👍 We were born right at the right time, to be able to play all these, now classic, Arcade games as they first came out, that is definitely very Cool my Friend, Stay safe and game on ya'll, Peace I had to add, my all time most Favorite Arcade Game of all time.... Dragon's Lair !! When I walked into our small town Arcade back in 1983, to play some mor games, there it was....Dragon's Lair, two of my favorite things, cartoons and Arcade games, So Cool !!
Yeah, Dragon's Lair is amazing. I remember seeing it on my local Time Out Arcade in the mall. They had a big TV right outside I'm the front of the arcade on a stand luring people in to see.
Quite an arcade and a great video tour. Love to watch videos like this to find diamonds in the rough to try/play that I never saw in the arcades. Thanks to this vid, I will be trying Juno First. On that note, I see Jeff has a handful of Taito games Front Line, but I don't ever see any collections that have a 1986 Halley's Comet. It's a sleeper that was a fun scrolling shooter and worth checking out. Like most, I barely have room for 3 or 4 games let alone this many! And then there's the funding of such a massive collection including backup "stock" on-hand parts for repairs. I stick to emulation, but themed it as I built a Star Wars Arcade cockpit (vid on my channel) for driving, flying, shmups, and of course Star Wars games. I then picked up a non-working Star Wars Trilogy DX Deluxe sit down and converted it to MAME (vid coming soon) for all other stick, trackball, and spinner games. I then have a Stern Playboy pinball cab, again it was stripped and non-working, that I turned into my virtual pinball cab 9 years ago. Since I have the other 2 cabs Star Wars, I may reskin the pin as a 1992 Data East or a 2017 Stern LE. So 3 large and uniquely setup cabs cover just about all the games I could want to play built on a budget of about $3,000.
Let me know how you like Juno First. Some people call it a "Vertical Defender". But I think it's WAY better (and easier). It's in MAME and also on the vertical 60 in 1 PCB.
Glad you enjoyed it! If you like that, you should also check out NEMike 's arcade tour along with Freeplay bar arcade. They are in the Arcade Tour playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLMenkBsi2LKC4EEugw6MJIQDSQaYvwe3x Thanks again for watching!
I've been following Jeff around for yearsssssssssss via the DLP. This is an awesome video, TY for sharing. I STILL can't get used to seeing him with long hair lol.
Glad you enjoyed it! Everyone's participation was outstanding too, including your comments. So thank you! Looks like I'm definitely picking Wednesdays as the go to streaming night. Occasionally doing some daytime streaming perhaps with Alex from Arcade Archive. We are still working out the logistics. :-) Thanks for watching!
Awesome tour of the collection. When we played these games in local arcades in the 80s 90s these cabinets were not perfect. They had flaws. They are only original one time. To me the zookeeper has great patina and has that vintage feel. I like keeping that spirit in my collection. Just my opinion ✌️
You'll love my 2nd Zoo Keeper that I acquired then. Ha ha ! It is 100% original with VERY little scars of war on it. I had planned to fully restore my 1st one that was painted black. It would have looked amazing, but just not original. I'm glad that I found the 2nd one and was able to sell my 1st at Pinfest recently. So I'm with you with embracing the flaws!
This is absolutely IN_sane!!! I was roaming RUclips for inspiration, because I wanna get some arcades for my own basement. Seeing this is so crazy! Talk about a time-capsel. Truly awesome, man! So damn jealous. Those pathetic “Arcade 1 Up” replicas just can’t compete in any way. It’s truly about preserving a time of yesterday. These Cabinets are beautiful!
Glad you discovered the channel! Thanks for watching! There's a group of us that have a bunch of home arcades with the real deal games in them. No Arcade 1 up toys. ;-) Check out part 2 of the vid (just released) here: ruclips.net/video/UJLODaD_wlM/видео.htmlsi=3bDarsg2qDQy0wHs

Krazy go nuts kool Del. As others have said, best home arcade i have every seen. Have you had a chance to go to the galloping ghost yet? He is opening his latest expansion next week.
Thanks. Yeah, Jeff's arcade is next level. As for Galloping Ghost, I plan to make a trip out there (eventually) to shoot a behind the scenes video showcasing "a day in the life" on how they keep that place running. I've talked to Doc Mac here and there briefly about it. Just haven't made solid plans yet to go.
@@delsarcade yeah. Doc has a live stream tonight at 5:00 (central) for his Monday game. He will be talking bout the expansion. He has it here and twitch. Btw, I was the person on klov lst nite looking 4 help w/the gun.smoke and 1 firing button. Converting back to 3. Got er figured out. Just gotta do the work now.
Yes it is worth a lot, indeed. But no, sometimes it's not expensive at all He has been collecting for a long time and the majority of the cabinets were inexpensive at the time. Some were $25 fully working! In the video he even explains how the got one for free! Today however, to buy stuff it could get expensive. Unless you get lucky or know where to look. Good deals are still out there though!
Congo Bongo and Zaxxon were both programmed by Ikegami. Ikegami also programmed, Donkey Kong, Popeye, Radarscope, Sherriff. Ikegami sued Nintendo when they violated their handshake agreement that Ikegami would manufacture all the Donkey Kong boards and also that Nintendo ROM hacked Donkey Kong to make Donkey Kong Junior. The issue was settled out of court and the agreement was not made public. Why am I just finding out that Jeff has his own channel!?
The tell is the high score save input screens. They are identical for all of Ikegami's games. After we shot the video last November, I had since talked about this with a few of my friends and they enlightened me on Ikegami, such as you have here. Thank you! Also, yeah, his channel is pretty great. No frills restos!
@@WWJKD1 It's really facinating to me that all these early arcade games the programming was contracted out. There is a lot more to the story as well.
my only complaint is seeing the same games in the persons collection. I like more the hard to get or Rare Stuff. But still nice layout. Just wish people enjoyed the road less traveled.
He does have a few rare birds. Challenger by Centuri. And we didn't show his Nintendo Arm Wrestling that he fully restored. Saving that for another video. :-) That said, it was a sight to behold to see all the games lined up in complete rows. Sega vector row for example (upcoming vid). We touched on these topics in the show and tell portion (with pics) of the follow up Q&A video that went Live immediately afterwards.
Zoo Keeper has unlimited stages. I've cycled the "invisible" platform stage 5 or 6 times in one game for a top score of over 16 million. ;-) That said, even though it's unlimited stages, the animal speed increases exponentially as you pass each level. It gets BONKERS in later levels.
@@delsarcade 30 million points for jumping all the animals is the max and 15 million for all but 1 , ok 👌 I thought there was maybe only a hundred stages

Question regarding power. When you have this many games, how did you plan for getting power to each game Did you have to put in more outlets or did you do circuit upgrade at the box?
Hi there! For the arcade area, I usually put 5 or 6 machines on one 20amp circuit, so outlets were added wherever needed. The house I live in is old and only had a 60amp service, so that was upgraded to a 200amp service.
