"Zaxxon, that wasn´t bad enough..." 🤣 Really nice and impressive collection, Charlie!
Thank you, sir!
Very nice collection Charlie.
Thanks, Carlos!!
Awesome collection Charlie!! You got the "fever"!!!
Yeah, buddy - thanks! And the only prescription is: MORE GAMES!
Wow what an awesome collection!!!!
Thanks - and thanks for watching!!!!
Great video and collection! I like the history of each cabinet you give and pride in restoring each one! Lots of black paint over artwork how do you recommend removing it carefully?
Thanks! The best technique for removing black paint really depends on what you're working with. I have lots of videos showing different methods. For removing latex paint on stenciled artwork on a plywood cabinet, you can use the IPA + paper towels + saran wrap method (e.g., Joust). For removing latex paint on stenciled artwork on a particleboard/MDF cabinet, you MUST use IPA + magic erasers (buy in bulk!) + lots of elbow grease (e.g., Jungle King). For removing latex paint from laminate, you can use citristrip and a plastic scraper (e.g., Pengo). YMMV and there's no guarantee of success. Good luck!
@@overtimearcade Sure thing! Wow didn't know there was so much variation and good to know thanks!
Let me know how it works out for you!!
@@overtimearcade I don't currently have a cabinet that needs work but good to know if I ever do thanks! Keep up the great work!
I think you need to add MK1, MK2, Tapper and Gun.Smoke cabs. You never see Gun.Smoke cab anywhere. Twilight Zone and Godzilla pinball machines. Awesome collection and appreciate the video. So cool how you give the history of the game and your history with the cabs. Keep gaming. GG’s!
Thanks!! I would love to get an MK1 or MK2 at some point! Tapper is fun but prices for it are through the roof. I do like playing Gun Smoke quite a bit, but it was only released as a conversion kit and not as a dedicated cabinet. I sure would like to find a board for it though to stick in a generic cab. Appreciate you watching and for the kind words!!
@@overtimearcade I really enjoy watching the videos. Keep it up. Thanks for the content.
Thanks, Sharky -- reading that made me smile!
this makes me want to clean my garage
It took me 2 full days…
After school we played the play choice 10 on the way home. You could get free games off it. By pushing up on both sticks if I remember correctly.
Oh interesting, I've never heard of that free game trick -- can you point me to a link or anything about it?
I recently picked up a home use only space duel cocktail with around 400 plays and I got it working. It’s a beauty but I’m debating on keeping it😅
SWEET! The cocktail format is the best way to play Space Duel! Why wouldn't you keep it??
@@overtimearcade I don’t have a whole lot of space and I’m not a real big cocktail person. It is really cool so I might keep it, really debating it
Maybe keep it until somebody makes you an offer you can’t refuse for it?
Your collection is amazing. Killer instinct would be a great in your collection to round out your selection, i didnt see any fighting games and its not a common cabinet and fun to play would be a perfect fit. There are so many great arcade games that would be awesome to have but i personally wouldnt be able store more then 2 cabinets in my home if i had to choose 1 game, even though i never played dance dance revolution thats the one game i would play to my hearts content at home so i can suck at it but not be embarrassed lol. And the second cabinet would be eighther street fighter 2 or a multicade with a few games i enjoyed playing alot like altered beast ninja turtles simpsons.
Thanks, Christopher! The only fighting game I have right now is Primal Rage, but it’s actually going to be leaving soon. Killer Instinct sure would be cool, although Mortal Kombat II is probably my favorite in the genre.
@overtimearcade MK2 is a great game and better yet it's a game that will be played killer instinct is just a cool cabinet and sounds amazing I only seen 2 of them one time in Hawaii in a bowling ally and tech school in airforce breakroom.
Hey, I was in the U.S. Air Force too! Thank you for your service!
I think you should take and empty cab and build yourself a nice MISTERCADE cab
Any good resources you can point me towards to learn more about that??
Pow pow pow ha ha ha!!
BOOMSHAKALAKA!!
I have a green Taito Cab disabled the side are cut. I live close to Athens, GA. let me know how can I contact you if you are interested... would love to have a Joust project :)
Georgia is a bit far for me (I'm in Virginia), but you can always contact me at the email address listed under "channel details" in the About section of my channel page, or alternatively PM me on the KLOV forums where I'm CharlieG.
@@overtimearcade I’ll reach you on KLOV I’m Chelnov
his floors havent caved it them machiens are very heavy
All of my games are safely placed on concrete floors at the lowest level of my home (basement & garage)! 😅
Im trying to find reproduction cabinets but everything I find is either out of business or astronomical prices! Tough hobby to get into these days
Yep, repro cabs are costly due to the price of wood and the fact that only a small number of vendors build quality cabs. But why go with a repro cabinet instead of an original? For many (most?) classic games, an original cab is cheaper than a repro, especially if you're willing to restore a fixer-upper!
@@overtimearcade Because im looking for a specific cab & its Dragons Lair
I wonder how the end of Dexter production has affected the market for Dragon’s Lair cabinets?
@@overtimearcade Idk I cant find them anywhere only thing that I could obtain is the plans to take to CNC & have it made which is probably the cheapest route & run Daphne
Does Daphne work without a Dexter? I don’t know much about DL hardware…
