Whats Next: Hersheypark - After Candymonium...

- Опубликовано: 18 апр 2020
- This summer, Candymonium will open as Hersheyparks' tallest, longest, and fastest coaster, and it will debut alongside Chocolate Town. This 23-acre expansion is packed with shops and restaurants, but today we're going to dive into the land next to Chocolate Town to see what might be in store for the sweetest theme park. Could we be looking at a Chocolate Town Part II expansion, and if so... will there be another coaster. Now it's to my understanding that Hershey just bought all this land, and I can see why... this park is a freakin pack. Walking around in the park, it felt like there was so much more land then there was. No wonder Great Bear, SooperDooperLooper, Skyrush, Comet, and Candymonium are nearly touching; they're low on space, so if we're looking at another expansion... I would believe it to be here unless that removes something else. If I were to take a guess, they could fit two more coasters here, maybe three if they keep the tradition and make them nearly touching. Before we dive into the predictions, let's take a look at some manufacturers that are likely to build these coasters. There are three- the first GCI. Hershey has two GCIs, one twister coaster, and one dueling coaster. Second B&M. B&M built Great Bear back in 98 but has since made a return with Candymonium, and could very well build Hershey's next coaster. And third, Intamin. Intamin has designed the most coasters at Hershey building Skyrush, Storm Runner, and Fahrenheit. And looking at the coasters Hershey already has, if they're going to get a new ride from one of these manufacturers, they're going to go all out.

A clone of Wonder Woman golden lasso called The Twizzler is the first thing that comes to my head.
no those single rail coasters are maintence nightmares
An really Awesome Choice sir, an RMC Raptor is perfect.
But what if they took the T-Rex model instead(highly unlikely but it would be amazing)
i guess im asking randomly but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account?
I was dumb forgot the password. I love any tips you can give me!
@@keithemilio8888 why are you asking this under the comments of a rollercoaster video?
An RMC Hyper Hybrid would actually be perfect.
A hyper from each of the big three
Caribou Goo 🙌
Giga*
Lightning Racer is my favorite ride in the park, I'd be devastated if they RMC'd it! Def vote for RMC Wildcat instead.
I feel like RMCing wildcat wouldn’t be right and I don’t think that lightning racer should be either so how about a record breaking hyper hybrid 😂😂
What is rmc?
@@Blkshdwthegoat Rocky Mountain Construction. They also design coasters from the ground up now, but their claim to fame is retracking wood coasters with steel track, adding very creative and intense elements to make them into some of the world's best. Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point or Twisted Timbers at Kings Dominion are some of the best examples.
Hey, just thought I’d mention, Hersheypark does not own all of that land you showed-which used to be a golf course. As someone mentioned, there is now a road that cuts halfway through the former golf course, and is now a border for the park. They don’t own the land beyond it. So... there’s really not room for more than 1 more coaster in the area next to Chocolatetown, and that’s stretching it. They most likely won’t build another coaster in that area for a looooong time, if ever.
I like the idea of a B&M Dive coaster
I think if they were to get a dive coaster, it would be more like Valravn and Yukon Striker, not emperor.Totally agree with you about wildcat though
I would love to see a record breaking Dive Coaster. Breaking the height, speed and inversion records all with one coaster.
Imagine if Hershey took the RMC T-Rex model and built the tallest roller coaster in the world 😂😂😂
The B&M dive will come later when they take out Tidal Force. A dive coaster with a splash effect would be perfect for that spot.
Hershey has a GREAT FUTURE! This is my home park, I can't wait!
My friend and I were talking about this the other night, and we were stumped. Every time we would start to think an idea, we'd go nope, they got that already.
I think they should put a mirror image of candymonoum right next to it
The Coaster Scoop or keep Skyrush
Are you suggesting they build Candymonium again and right next to the original? Because that sounds like a terrible idea.
TheGreatGambino 🤣🤣 I’m joking
After riding candymonium. It's now my number one ride in the park
Very interesting and helpful. Get predictions! Keep up the awesome work dude
love your videos man, love the channel!!!!
Holy crap I forgot how good this channel is. I forgot this guy existed because he doesn’t upload, but the content is good. Anyone know if he’s still alive?
I think hershey would blow peoples minds if the built an indoor coaster like a Rock & Rollercoaster in Disney Hollywood Studios. It would be cool to have a dark coaster in Hersheypark, laugh track was such a disappointment. They would also be able to run it year round being they have four seasons.
I hope Hersheypark gets a flying coaster. Could definitely outdo Superman, like Great Bear outdoes Batman.
Hersheypark used to be my home park. Wow has it changed since then!
I think a wing coaster would be a good fit
I would also like a family launch coaster like the slinky dog at Disney
Everyone wants rmc wildcat, but if they retrack wildcat, rmc Lightning racer and possibly remove sidewinder and put a new vekoma launch there and have it fly over storm runner, that would be great
Since they have a height limit of 350, they can do a giga coaster!
I was literally *JUST* thinking about this yesterday
Who all has the KINGSIZE season pass and cant wait for the park to open!
I'm a king size holder!!
I looked into a king size pass but couldn't justify the price for a 1 park pass
Yes Hershey Park should make three more roller coaster maybe one launch roller coaster maybe one just like candymonium and maybe one that's like the Great Bear like flying one
You should do a whats next for Kings Dominion!
Nice video!
I think Hershey should: Let GCI fix Wildcat and also add in some ejector airtime by turning some of the banked turns into wave turns since it seems like every manufacturer is now developing wave turns. Then they should give Sky Rush better trains 😂😂 Finally, I don’t really know what to add since they already have a pretty amazing lineup, but maybe an RMC Raptor or to give SFMM a run for their money, RMC Lightning Racer and make it into a Mobius loop
there next coaster will probably be a b&m invert
nice content, keep it up ;)
they have one already
Bruh what about a compact multi launch B&M Floorless coaster? That would be incredible
It's about time someone agreed with me about re-tracking Wildcat and Rmc'ing Lightning Racer 😁
LR isnt getting rmc ever
Wildcat deserves to die. RMC it. wooden coasters mostly suck in general when it comes to smoothness. RMC lightning racer too
I think hersheypark will probably get a vekoma space warp or a b&m floorless
omg i agree w/ lightening racer becoming a rmc hybrid
Gci needs to go all out on wildcat, I don't want them doing an rmc wildcat, I think they need an overhaul, make it like wood coaster in China, they need to prove they can rival rmc for redos, make it taller make it longer retrack the original track, add new track, give it the phantoms revenge treatment, make the first drop taller, or lower the height of the first turnaround so you get more force, turn that second hill into a double up for some airtime, get rid of that one jerk down section so you don't break your back every time, that part that goes down below the hill make it longer, make it twist around itself again, idk I just don't want them to get rid of it I love it more than lightning racer and anyone who says it's too rough is a baby
If they could GCI Wildcat and RMC lightning racer that’d be ideal
The day that Hershey Park adds an RMC hyper hybrid is the day that it becomes one of, if not, my favorite park.
What about one of the ones that go on the side and flip you
I can’t wait to go there next week on July 1st I get to see this new ride and town I’m so excited
What if wildcat being gcis first coaster gets the first full gci hybrid retrack with inversions and a better layout because wildcat sits on a big plot of land so I could see a complete new layout being great
I'm not really sure about a RMC retracking for Wildcat, on one hand I don't want them to do it because it was GCI's first coaster, but on the other hand an RMC Hybrid would be a good addition to Hersheypark's lineup.
DONTYOUDARETOUCHLIGHTNINGRACER!
For the expansion plot, the first things that come to mind is an S&S Axis or any kind of extreme Mack Rides coaster in a fantasy themed chocolate area.
As for the GCIs, Lightning Racer is a beloved classic for me, and Wildcat is horrible. The most logical situation I can think of, would have GCI do a steel conversion of Wildcat, and then, a wooden retrack for Lightning Racer that not only makes it even better, but combines to track to make it the 2nd longest wooden roller coaster in the world, and also would duel like West Coast Racers.
I hope Hersheypark heard me.
S&S can't even keep Steel Curtain at Kennywood running, and it's got the most simple of coaster designs 1) a train goes up a chain lift 2) gravity takes over for the rest of the ride. They've been making coasters like that since the twenties.
To me a B&M Dive or Flying Coaster & an RMC are great fits to this park, Also i never visited to Hersheypark yet because i'm a Canadian in Ontario which i had my home park Canada's Wonderland which is about 45/50 mins from my apartment & its not so far, but Hersheypark would be my bucket list of parks i wanted to visit after when this virus is over & I will go maybe in 2021/22.
My hope is for an RMC Wildcat
Can u make a video about why Intamin hasn’t built any more beyond vertical drop coaster like Fahrenheit
They could get a merlins mayhem clone from Dutch wonderland
rmc wildcat and a giga is all they need
Just sad we not going this year
They need a Kumba
Maybe a water park expansion
It's so landlocked, I don't know where they could expand. You could take out Wild Mouse, but that wouldn't get you must real estate out it.
I thought they should have a flight coaster
If they rmced wildcat this would be top 3 amusement park
A video on Hershey park This is AMAZING!!
Hershey could get a RMC Raptor or T-Rex and theme it to Twizzlers, to keep with the Hershey Candy theming.
How about a GCI like Mystic Timbers or a couple years down the road a giga?
RMC Wildcat
It needs it. When I rode it last year, I couldn't wait to get off since it hurt so bad.
you mean........ next summer candymonium will open
I love this series, man it’s good
I live 30 min from Hersheypark. And I want a Tatsu clone.
B&M flyer!
What do you mean flying dinosaur is not nothing special? With it being one of the most expensive coasters ever built at 90,000000. I would be surprised if HP would invest in that massive price tag. Besides it the best flyer B&M has ever built.
lol ur right i should delete this video like fr
@@ThemeParkMedia No it’s a fantastic video it’s no need to that. That’s the only thing I just disagreed with you on keep up the good work.
Your Google Earth layout is missing Park Ave.... A newly relocated road that travels straight through that plot of land. I do not see HP going across that road anytime soon. As they have never crossed a road before, rather tear them out. But this road is vital and also new.
A RMC like gwazi would be cool. Too bad Hershey can never have something that high.
Yeah they can their limit is 220 ft and iron gwazi is less than 210
I believe that they'll get an RMC Raptor next. Also can't wait to get my 100th coaster on Skyrush. Great video!
Your videos are so interesting and they are great quality!
I wish he uploaded more often, I can’t wait for the next video. Best Coaster Content!!
I can say where a lot of the talk has been. 2021 will be a “park maintenance” year. Maybe a new eating area or two, some renovations on amenities, but nothing big. 2022 is when things get interesting. In 2012 it will have been 10 years since the last big boardwalk change. The change is going to be the end of Tidal Force. It’s been known that it’s a nightmare to maintain, and the boardwalk will take over that area and add in a new group of slides. 2023 will be a reform of wildcat somehow, with a GCI retract much more likely than an RMCing of it, just because of how tight Wildcat is location wise.
2024 is then going to be a big year then. Hersheypark won’t gain coasters, however they will add one and subtract one. Not only will they begin Chocolatetown 2.0 expansion with a new intamin multi-launch, but a revitalization of the pioneertown area will begin. Sidewinder will be taken out and a new wind seeker style ride will take its place as the park begins to revitalize that area.
Sidewinder takes up so little room, that there's no advantage to removing it.
I only See an RMC or a Gci refurbishment
I still don't get why they decided to build another hyper when they could've built a giga instead. They could've stolen the record of tallest coaster in Pennsylvania from Steel Curtain at Kennywood.
Mitchell Ries Hershey park might have a height limit I’m not sure but I think they do. If they did build a gigga coaster people would probably be disappointed like they were with Orion because of how short it is and that stuff, recently the price of steel had gone up and it would be extremely expensive to build a gigga like Fury.
And what does that get you? The only people who care about height records are enthusiasts.
RMC Lightning Racer! They’d still have a GCI, and that would be the park’s new signature coaster, being only the second dueling RMC.
NO, thats all I have to say, of anything, I think that after lighting run gets the GCI hybrid treatment, wildcqt would get it next, they wouldnt work with RMC on a prodject that big, If they were going to get a hybrid, It would be the conversion of wildcat through the company that biult it, lightning racer is too good
not happening wildcat would get the rmc treatment not nearly as popular as LR
@@vicjaxon4474 not how it works and rmc would do wildcat they have expernice with redone treatments GCI does not at all
I'd prefer a GCI hybrid and it done on Wildcat. Although in the new area, a GCI hybrid hyper would be pretty sweet too. Lightning Racer is fine the way it is, a GCI retrack is the only work that'd make sense to me.
Thank you for a great video! Really made my day
I think your way off on thunder and lightning. It sits write next to the water park and while I really like thunder and lightning the management is more likely to see it as the future of low cost water slides.
I hope beyond all reason they try to relocate it to the area around chocolate town. If they do that then there not going to go with RMC because RMC looses all its cost advantage of reusing the structure/footers.
As for wild cat it’s going to be a maintenance headache even a after they re-track it. It’s more likely to me the cut there losses and rmc it.
Why RMC Wildcat? Why not go for a GCI hybrid. That way it stays a historic and important GCI. It's only fitting the first GCI becomes their first hybrid too
Jolly rancher remix
Windeseeker ride
Even though this is a Mack, I think an Extreme Spinning Coaster like Time Traveler would be great here.
Yes! And the park loves fitting coasters to terrain. Like great bear comet and stormrunner
They already have a spinning coaster tho
nope dont need a spinning coaster they alreday have laff track
Nicky D I completely forgot about Laff Track...
Giga dive
If they get an intamin blitz they should name it storm runner 2 and make it a foot taller
Storm Runner 2 sounds tacky and unoriginal. Then I'd argue that any launch coaster should have a stark difference being that it would be compact and intense, or massive and faster. However, I'd prefer compact, multi-launch, and sweet because a massive speed demon doesn't fit at Hershey to me.
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO KING 👑
They won’t get a dive coaster
I think they should get an rmc next to the space where candymoniam is
What? RMC?? It’s gotta be an RMC, right?
For the record HEC (Hershey entertainment company) bought the land in 2006, they didn’t just buy it.
What?
the land the is being used for expansion was what was left of the herco golf course ..the left over land from what the giant center and parking lot expansion..what it didnt use
Intamin Blitz would be the best option imo. Love Hershey's lineup.
not gonna happen its a intmain and hershey isnt after all the skyrush issues
I’m waiting for Hershey park to open I can’t wait much longer 😭😂
more then likey wont be until next year
I believe that lightning racer would be a fantastic candidate for the rmc treatment. I think the station flyby could be changed to have both tracks stall in the station.
RMC Laff Track
Love your videos and suggestions. I can't imagine a world in which GCI doesn't premiere their hybrid treatment with their very first coaster. The timing is simply too perfect.
I would love to see Intamin bring a Soaring With Dragon clone to Hershey!
I don’t want wildcat RMC’d!!
It completely sucks and is unrideable.
Not sure if they'd get another hyper but they could do most inversions on a hybrid
Seeing how Hershey park adds coasters that are or have something untraditional I’m thinking there could be something like Thunder Bird or wicked
They need a giga
They can't due to the airport nearby. They are restricted to a max height of 250 feet per FAA regulations. They would have to use the terrain with a 50 foot drop-off from the 250 foot max requirement to reach giga status.
@@ajb627871 if theres a 250 foot limit why did the faa approve the kissing tower.....I think the faa would approve a 300 foot coaster...would Hershey park spend giga money ?
No they don't
So happy some pointed out RMCing Lightning Racer. It has so much potential.
As much as I love Lightning Racer, its honestly quite boring, kinda forceless, and takes up a massive footprint in the park. I've ridden it for years and I'm not hating on it, it's just in my opinion the weakest in the lineup and I wouldn't be too devastated if we saw it rebuilt.
Lighting racer was my first dualing coaster and I honestly feel like an rmc would be really fun
Why not I’ll take a shoutout
Do one for gadv
I live in Hershey. I go to hersheypark all the time and my mom used to work there and so did my sister so I have gotten in too much. So listen there are wildcat, comet and lightning racer. What I’m thinking is that since theyre adding the more popular rides towards the front so this year( if they open) they are gonna have some DEAD coasters.
i'd love a flying coaster 😍
A B&M giga would be perfect for this park, it's a shame that there are so many restrictions.
gooseegg really the only restriction is nothing can be taller than the kissing tower, but yeah a giga would be great
The only way a Giga might work is if they use the terrain to their advantage but even so with the flooding back in 2018, they might refrain from using the terrain in this case.
hersheypark wont spend giga money ...and the high of rides has to do with it proximity to the perimeter of the park ..not the kissing tower
ajb627871 yeah, I live just south of HP, and it was bad. You couldn’t go anywhere without running into closed roads
I would love to see Hershey Park get the single rail raptor track or the T-Rex track coaster
RMC T-Rex
Great vid, just a small point, you list 4 manufacturers not the three you claim to list.
