Four people were taken into custody over the weekend and charged in the murders of two missing mothers from Kansas: Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley. A newly-released arrest affidavit claims says the motive for the murders was a bitter custody dispute between Butler and the grandmother of her children, Tifany Adams. Adams, her boyfriend and friends now face several charges. Police don't want to alert the killers that they are zeroing in on them. People should simply understand that fact, including reporters.

I was in the same situation with some very dangerous in laws.I never ever met them in private,even with a friend.These exchanges should always be done at the police station.

Absolutely. The children must come first. So many of these awful stories reflect the ego and narcissism and selfishness of parents.

How do you figure they have "no one"? What a bizarre assumption on your part, their dad,Wrangler Rickman, has had custody of them and still does. They still have their dad, who by all accounts was their one, safe, stable parent. He was not arrested, nor has he been implicated in his mother's alleged crimes.

Why are you making up facts? No, the children are NOT in foster care, their dad, Wrangler Rickman, has had custody and still does. He was not arrested and has not been implicated in this murder. The bad actor here was his mother, Tiffany Adams, her BF and their friends. Rickman has not lost custody based on the crimes of his mother, that is not how the law works.
They don’t love those children. They only love themselves.

If authorities knew what was going on from the beginning... why did they put the local school on lock down for 2 days? Those kids didn't need to go through that.
They didn't know within seconds of the crime being committed. It was after their initial investigation (which is the beginning) that they knew what was going on.

Yes we do, we were recently in the news for executing someone who had like 70 co's try to stop it, but they did it anyway. OK does not play about much.

EXCELLENT responses by LE to the ridiculous question about why LE was so tight lipped. Would you rather have your story and compromise the case??? It sure seems that way. Every time a reporter asks this question or I hear a reporter saying they contacted LE again, I lose respect for the reporter and the channel. Also, QUIT blaming the public for wanting answers. With this case and the recent situation with Princess Catherine, 95% of the public wasn't asking for information. They were fine to wait until the information was provided. It was the news media who was stirring the pot. Instead of harassing and berating LE (or whoever isn't providing information as quickly as you would like) try saying something like the following: "While we wish we could provide you with more information, we know LE is working hard on this case and will provide information as soon as they are able to do so".
Exactly! The newsmedia has to get a story for the news media itself, not for the public demanding it.

No according to the affidavit he had entered a drug rehab program on the 22nd of March.

Because there was an accusation of child molestation while they were in her custody, possibly by her brother. Both parents had lost custody and Grandma had them, and the deceased mom was trying to get them back. Grandma is said to have stated that, “If I’m forced to give back those kids, there will be bodies.”

What is the point of killing a divorcee so you dont have to share custody of a child. You will get caught and end up not having the child for yourself. It is just more heartache for the child and everyone left behind.
