I'm glad that Ellie and Britt have their own series
I'm all for it.
ADHD with da bois!
The two leading ladies ^^
Should just get their own channel. This isn't vldl
@@reburgcamThey are a part of VLDL so….
I've watched this channel dip its toe into several mental health issues over the years. The folks here clearly want to use their reach and influence to bring these things to light and tell others with problems that they aren't alone.
Everybody involved with VLDL is a credit to themselves and the people who helped shape their values. Wishing you all great fortune in this and any future endevours...be they funny or serious.
"What."
"We have to make 3D-glasses"
That interaction seemed the most accurate part of this trailer somehow
I've literally done that.
"No you don't"
That's such a common parent reply when you open up about things like this and mental health. Like they think it's a failing in their part even though it's a really common issue that's not anybody's fault.
ADHD is just an excuse, not real disease like cancer for example.
It took my parents awhile to accept my ASD diagnosis as an adult, I'm hoping they take me going for my ADHD assessment much better now.
It actually took my mum going for training in work place awareness on Autism for her to realise I honestly am Autistic. She apologised for her not accepting my diagnosis after that.
I'm not sure when or if both my parents will accept that they too are Autistic and ADHD. Might be never, but I give them helpful advise with what I'm learning about myself. I just don't tell them the advise is specifically for ASD/ADHD. 😊
@@carolinelabbott2451 the funny thing is - everybody could name some behaviour and say that he/she has it.
Some pharmaceutical company will pay to raise awareness and we have new "disease" - great.
But any of those "mental diseases" doesn't have objective test - I mean biochemistry tests with 0 or 1 answer.
So doctor can say whatever he likes. There is no way to say its not true as this is not objective matter - like cancer or flu for example.
@jankowalski523 ah, I see you got your psych degree at Temu.
@@jankowalski523 you can say this about any mental disability though. Are you going to make the same case for bipolar or BPD? Just say you dont know what your talking about.
As someone with severe ADHD the line "Arent' we all a little ADHD" sends me into a complete rage. So good job on making sure that shit's in there. Because *boy* is it real.
"Oh, yeah. We're tOtaLLy the same. I mean, I'm sure you know exactly what it feels like to sit/stand/lie somewhere for God knows how long (because time doesn't $@%&ING exist) while internally screaming at yourself to DO SOMETHING and calling yourself every name, mean thing, and slur that you hate others saying to other people with ADHD. I mean we all do that, RIGHT!?"
Realistically, I know I'd never be able to get myself to say that. But just once, I wish I could get myself to go full TraumatizeThemBack.
@@Amy-oo7mm I tend to just look at them open mouth, glazed over eyes, for 3 seconds, then "Okay, sure" and walk away. Because otherwise I might just reenact some MMA moves (which would probably result in missing, and losing painfully) 😛
My tactic is to explain that:
- Everyone has some of the symptoms some of the time
- In people with ADHD those symptoms are so severe and frequent that it has a major impact on their ability to function day to day.
- A major part of the diagnostic process is working out if the patient's symptoms are severe enough to meet the definition of ADHD.
I only got diagnosed pretty recently though, so it's quite likely I'll get fed up of that spiel before long and shorten it to a few 4 letter words.
Makes me eye-twitch. Same as when a person is obsessed with something and everyone starts saying they must be autistic.
People have said basically the same thing to me when I tell them I'm autistic. It's super ridiculous and annoying, like they think the only thing to autism is a little social awkwardness.
Britt and Ellie as the protagonists, hell yeah 🤩
Pretty sure adhd is an antagonist
@@Dor10sh Touche

At first I was upset I had to ruin the symmetry of 555 likes but then I realized that 556 is a caliber so it's cool.
This looks incredible. It looks like a full on big budget studio made sitcom. Cant wait for the first ep to drop
Tbf, it kinda is. Brit and Ellie (and their crew) are professionals, after all
For real, I was like what platform is this streaming on? Netflix? Amazon? Hulu? Who is paying these women for this?
It's amazing to see a channel using their success/popularity to talk about things like mental health issues. Bravo
It's really helped me. I've suffered depression to the point of being unable to leave my house, I'm introverted ( this works great in my role as a cop XD), I'm dyslexic and minorly autistic and I've gone through a full on mental implosion.
Their mental health vids have kept me going and made me feel better about myself.
Well done for tackling mental health in a funny but not a " couple beers you'll be fine, mate" style.
Massive kudos

Damn, I commented this and then saw yours [delete].
Thank you for this reminder.
Ah shit, not gonna lie, without this comment, thats exactly what I was going to leave thinking. "Is it going to be a full movie to announce it so early?"
@VivaLaDirtLeague Back at you! 'Merica! 😎😂
As a person who doesn't have ADHD, I am also looking forward to this series.
As a person who has ADD without the H (yes, that does exist), I too look foward to this 😊
As a person with AD4K I join you with waiting for this
@@Startbreak12 iirc both terms were combined into one a while ago so add is just adhd now, i was diagnosed with both when i was young
ADHD (inattentive) here, diagnosed at 55yo. This is a great idea! Glad I'm subscribed (or I'd forget and never come back).

As an adult with ADHD, I am also excited for this. Thus my comment has nothing to add to the conversation.
Same, being off the meds for years now makes me sad to see that bottle off pills on the set. I'm really curious what their stance to meds is, since ADHD is 100% treatable without any chemicals
@@AkiAiromaa please don't shame people who finde the sollution to their struggles in medication. Everyone is different with different symptomes and difficulties and it's not your place to say "everyone can do it this one way!!11"

Amen
@@AkiAiromaa ADHD isn't real disease - its just pattern of behaviour. Of course you can change your behaviour.
Ellie does strike me as that person who whispers in your ear, "just do it."😂
Ooh I'd love someone like her in my life.
“I read on Reddit that ADHDs not actually real.” Love it! I want to see her give her stimulants to other characters to see what it does to them compared to her
There was a thriving black market for Ritalin when I was a kid.
Ritalin zombifies people. I'm pretty sure it does nothing to people with balanced dopamine
Looks awesome... this reminds of the time I found out I'm actually autistic, and my whole being suddenly made sense and why I am the way I am. Hate towards myself for being 'weird' turned into self-love. When I started telling my loved ones they wouldn't believe me or just plain ignored the conversation when I brought it up. Took a lot of convincing for them to start realizing I was actually autistic. Thank you, Viva, for always bringing mental health issues to your channel and being an escape from the battles we sometimes have to fight within ourselves.
My mom protested that I could be autistic all through my evaluation. I even stopped talked to her because it we just got into an argument about it every time. 6 months later, when I finally got my diagnosis, I called her and told her. She just accepted it and started supporting me 100% 😮 That was the most unexpected response and I am eternally grateful.
@@TinaDanielsson I am so happy for the unexpected response from your mother and thank you for sharing. Sometimes we also forget that when we as their children go through certain things (like finding out your autistic, cancer, etc) the parents also go through their own emotions, denials, and most of the time blame themselves believing it's because of their shortcomings that their children have to struggle with mental health issues.
One of my friends, after I told him about me finding out I'm autistic, started watching one educational video after the other about autism so he could understand me and others with autism better. That's one of the best things any friend has ever done for me.
@@chrizandriroth7695 I wish everyone was as considerate as your friend, they sound like a keeper! 🙂
I'm a woman who was diagnosed with ADHD when I was thirty five. I look forward to seeing the shared negatives and positives we both experienced as a result.

Wouldn't the mens version be more like "ADH-D&D" ?

There are already Bored on Mondays and Epic NPC Man on Wednesdays ; and Supercut on Saturdays. And Shorts regurlaly
Looking forward to this! A doctor told my parents I probably had adhd when I was 8, but they ignored it as it wasn't taken seriously back then. Fast forward through multiple issues at school and work and I got properly diagnosed at 31, on the advise of a friend. On a low dose of Ritalin and doing so much better. I'm at peace with the fact I won't know how much my life would be different if I was diagnosed earlier.
I do have ADHD since "ever" plus I love to see Ellie and Britt getting their own series. Love to see what fun jokes you can come up with!
Also, I love how the person with ADHD is played by Britt. Usually women with ADHD aren't really taken serious, which allows you to once again invert gender roles or just shine light on this.
Britt actually does have diagnosed ADHD too, so she can really own the role.
The kickstarter mentioned a series of Britt and Ellie, but at the time they had ideas for a Sim Life series. I hope they will get around to doing that one as well.
I was expecting Rowan to be part of this, then again, Rowan's character is practically the Patron saint of inattentive ADHD already.
Sorry, what?

I wish you all the best, because it must hurt being the person you are today.
I literally just started the process of psychiatric examination for ADHD... this is perfect timing
I just got the official word I had it a couple years ago, and have been trying to work around it with no success. Just started "med hunting" with a psych a few weeks ago. It's not been a lot of fun so far. 1 had a "so-so" effect, which was still crazy to see, so I can only imagine one that does work. We tried upping that just by 5mg, but that ended up doing worse on top of making me a little ill. Then we tried something completely different this week and so far it has had absolutely zero effect on anything, good or bad lol.
Also - insurance has not been kind. They don't cover beans for these meds so far, and barely any of the visits with the psych. So even if I do find a med that works, odds are it's gonna break the bank.
Here's hoping you have better results and insurance.
As someone who got diagnosed with ADHD last year at 23 I'm so HYPED for this
I must watch this!!!!!!
Not having ADHD myself, I think, I find this trailer incredibly enticing. I want to learn about it more, since a lot of my friends do have it, and I want to know, know, know. To me this looks like an honest and real way to show something that can be so hard to deal with, and have some fun added to the mix makes it even more relatable somehow. Thank you Ellie and Britt, for making it accesible for people like me, who want to learn.
"don't we all have a little adhd?"
This sentence triggers me more than anything. 😂
As a recently diagnosed with ADHD, I can say I am pretty much excited for this new series!
There should be an episode that centers around not beeing able to sleep.. alot of us ADHD have the common practice to listen to audiobooks to be able to sleep because the train of thougth never stops.
My fiancee listens to audiobooks, for me it is music. We both now have headbands with build in bluetooth speakers and it chanced our world (and stopped the fighting who's stuff is running at sleep time) 😁

Britt and Ellie are so good, glad to see them continue being awesome at Viva!
My youngest son (8 years old) has recently been diagnosed with both ADHD and ASD (autistic spectrum disorder). He is actually happy with having the diagnosis and owns it like a badge of honour, he said to me after and said, "So I'm left handed, lactose intollerent, with ADHD and ASD, I'm the oddest in the family." His mum has ASD and I have dyslexia and he has since changed that to his older brother is the strangest in the family cause he doesn't have a disorder, and he enjoys telling him this. These videos will help his brother understand what is going on in his head a little and help his developing nderstanding. Thank you for doing these.
As an adult with autism it's makes me happy a little bit 😂

@@Xiph1980 actually I'm still full after my breakfast!
This one hits home. As a 50 year old man, I found out that what I had been struggling with my whole life, was ADHD. It explained so many things for me. How I would drift off in the middle of conversations because something else would catch my attention. How I would start a project and be hyper-focused on it for a day, and never get back to it again. So many things made much more sense. I went on the meds, and they do help, but they are not miracle workers. They made a difference though and I would not go back to not being on them. I can't wait to see how you two handle this with the humor and grace that I know you will. Britt, if you ever need someone to chat with that understands, I am here for you.
The quality and look of this is top notch. Looks funny. Ellie and Brit are already hilarious.100% gonna watch
Doctor to me at 50: Well, that's probably due to your ADHD.
Me: my what??
Looking forward to this series.
In order to get diagnosed with ADHD I had to fill out an assessment form, my parents filled out the same form, and a friend filled out the form. According to me and my friend’s answers, I have adhd. According to my parents answers, I do not 😅. Luckily the doctor believed me and not my parents (I’m an adult but still in the “pediatrics” section until I like. Graduate from college or something).
As an undiagnosed 40 y.o. woman on a journey of ADHD discovery, I am so hyped for this!
This actually looked like a trailer for a commercial series. I think you guys are moving on to the next level.
You all have no idea how good it is to get a notification of a new VLDL video while I'm getting ready for another day.
