The video is not clear, but the 67K price (cheaper than Z06 MSRP) they mention is the final price, not additional price (the presenter immediately mentioned that this was 18K over the price of the base corvette) so in fact, the calloway corvette is NOT more expensive than the ZR1 which is like 120K, and is cheaper than the z06 as well while having more HP.
Agreed. They are great engineers, but designers they are not. But there are some exceptions. The Callaway corvette speedster from the late 80s is one of them. I think in recent years they have tamed themselves somewhat with their exterior modifications. But if a client asks for something ridiculous, I'm sure they will build it for them.
For a c16 callaway I prefer a zr1. Is cheaper and with the money you save you can do a lot more HP. The callaway corvette is great for the price and it can smoke a z06 and a GTR and save a lot of money. WOW 11. sec in the 1/4 mile
I'm talking about the calloway corvette by the way, not the calloway c16 which does seem ludicrously overpriced for an extra larger supercharger plus a custom body shell. The calloway corvette with 580HP and 9K less than a new z06 seems decently priced, other than its boring tacky front fascia.
gosh, as much as i like what Callaway does mechanically, turning fast and sharp performing sports cars like the Corvette into even faster and sharper road going thunderous machines, they should keep their hands off the overall design and limit their magic to performance upgrades only. sure that '95 LM is a mind boggling performance monster, but it looks just heinous.
Just spotted one

Too expensive! I can through my own TT kit in my Vette for under $7k
Huh. John sounds a lil down
The C16 doesn't look nothing like a Corvette, it looks like an Aston Martin, with Mcclaren tail lights.
