4 years and 1400 hours in, this game does not get old. Why? Because no one can make something similar. So hardcore, yet so simple, and not a milsim.
rising storm 2 is the only thing that gets close to this...

near 6:45 the tiered/ persistent reload system caught you
if your character is midway through a reload animation, the game rememembers which state you left the gun in; ie. if the magazine was dropped and hasnt been replaced, if the gun hasnt been racked yet, etc.
in this case, the reload was interrupted before your character could insert a new magazine
still had a round chambered tho!
Love the reload system here specifically the choice to drop the mag for a quick reload or save the mag for a longer reload. I wish more shooters would adopt this like Hell Let Loose.

@1_AzA_1 I feel it's a little funky but your character actually has weight instead of feeling floaty or running at Usain Bolt speeds

I wish. The game lacks so much. Not in controls or offering, but content. The community numbers are dwindling due to a lack of care from the publishers/developers.
Too bad NWI got closed. Only a matter of time before it's offline

@@robertanderson4289 thats false. The company is still around lol google it. Domt spread misinformation. 2nd this game has a peak of over 1000 players. Thats more than enough to find a game. And its been steady and hasn't dropped....plus there is a 2024 roadmap for future content
People say every game is dying literally. Lol if i google *insert game here, you will find a group of people talking about it dying. To me a game isn't dead until you can have a plsyable match. Also popularity doesnt equal quality.
I'm hoping for the same exact thing if only like 5 more big RUclipsrs like jack would promote this game it would really do wonders for this title

I have been playing this game consistently since 2018. Great gunplay. Funny dialog, and awesome map design. Truly an underrated gem.

It's one of my favourites, I don't normally like playing with others online but I had a brilliant time playing with a bunch of American guys. Even if your a cod only player, give it a go. Its great fun
The only FPS I consistently go back to every couple weeks. Love the loadout system, and the graphics hold up really well (especially on the night maps). Can't wait to see what they do in future.

@@ReachTeathere’s talk of continued development but he’s not lying ab them being shut down. NWI was shut down by the parent company in December. It sucks. Content is prolly gonna be even slower now if they even do hold out on their word

@@krischurch3763 they had bought up a bunch of smaller developments last year to try and boost revenue and a lot of them were immediately deemed not profitable enough so they just almost immediately shut them down, well not immediately but within months I believe. Ghost recon advanced warfighter!! One of the first games I played as a young boy when I first got my Xbox 360! What a game that was indeed!! Love insurgency been playing on and off for a while now, I love leading no mics to victory by giving instructions and working together with others to complete objectives, glad to see its still getting love by the devs and the ppl ❤
would love some more insurgency content, imo its the perfect mix of arcade and milsim realism shooter

Jack when you take a role in Insurgency Sandstorm like Rifleman or Marksman there's a number down by "F1 Deploy" that shows your points. Your points give you attachments for your gun, carriers for more ammo, armor etc. You basically kept going in with tons of points unspent on carriers or armor or attachments!

Yeah those diamonds always remind me of GRAW too. I loved that series, even the completely-different PC one that required more slow deliberate action. Last good GR game.
It sucks they don't make em like that anymore. GRAW was one of my favorite shooters and the story was so dope.

this game is unreal. made my first video on it, just a bunch of clips compiled together. the gunplay, voice chat and setting is just phenomenal. i’ve been having a blast

Insurgency gameplay mechanics is really what amazes me. The stability of snipes when not on tripod - the ability to blur scopes and alter movements when pinning down gives underrated purpose of support personnel. Coming from other games where you can do assault on sniper and melee weapons would kill you first even after taking a shot at close range

Im very happy that youre giving light to this game because I got into it last summer, and been addicted to where I purchased it again on Steam. all around fun and I cant wait for more maps and guns.
playing on the modded servers are the best when I can heal and play on unique places and even heal my brothers in arm.

It’s a shame Embracer Group completely sacked the entire original dev team. Hopefully those people can find a job with some security.
None of the devs from the original standalone insurgency, or insurgency sandstorm when it was first released were still at the nwi by the time embracer closed the studio. And hadent been for years. It's been a Skeleton crew for at least 3 years with only like one major update a year. Still a shame though.

Insurgency is one of my favorites. I played it back when it was just a sourcemod, I played it when it became an actual game, and I play Sandstorm to this day. Perfect level of realism for me, no broken bones but you still get killed by one or two well placed bullets and cant just run around wiithout thinking

It runs pretty good on consoles, it also looks really good. In regards of aim assist, is there but it’s not that strong as in Cod. It has a pretty stable community in console, at least on Xbox it does.

hey Jack, I play on the series x from time to time and the texture/resolution upgrade is a huge improvement. There isn’t any aim assist, so a little more hardcore there. But it does feel better than pubg in my opinion (also no AA on consoles.) I don’t usually wait long to find a game either so the playerbase seems pretty healthy, especially with gamepass lowering the barrier to entry for a lot of people to drop in and give it a try.
Hey jack! I play this on console series x to be specific. It play actually very very good. After some minor adjustments to sensitivities things like that. But the gun play is absolutely astounding and the audio design is by far some of the best audio for firearms explosions. I've had multiple occasions headphones full blast no lights on and in the zone and an explosion would go off in-game and I would literally jump from being startled it's amazing.
The player base isn't the greatest but it is pretty good and if I'm not mistaken I believe it's cross play.
Also it is on gamepass. And the fact you and how big your channel is the fact you are covering this is so freaking awesome. Because the company who made this we're about to be shut down by embracer I believe because not enough revenue or whatever coming in.
They are also have plans for insurgency 2 or whatever number it's on. In development and I'd love to see what they can produce after putting this gem out.
Also anybody on fence about this game just give it a try the weapon customization is awesome character customization awesome. This game needs more big RUclipsrs promoting this title give cod and battlefield some competitiion in the market
More competition means companies have to be more innovative with their release
