Now this is a bike I can appreciate, none of that electric mumbo jumbo, pie in the sky skulduggery 😂 A living breathing excellently engineered machine with a heart beat which voices the excitement in its moving parts. Every one of my four bikes gives me the feeling you describe, I cannot have a favourite as each is unique in its own way. Each one holding a crown at the head of its genre.

Hello from Switzerland, I have owned an XE Scrambler for 1.5 years.
And what can I say, the best purchase I've ever made.
I had a 955i Tiger for 15 years and loved this motorcycle, but after over 100,000 km the ravages of time unfortunately separated us. I've been looking for a successor for a long time. I installed slightly higher footrests for more lean angle and put on road-oriented tires because I rarely go off-road. What I will treat myself to, however, is off-road training with an XE in Spain :-) I am convinced that the motorcycle will also master this challenge.
I'm already looking forward to the next trip in spring like a little child. Greetings to all motorcyclists worldwide from Switzerland😁

It was great to meet you at the Triumph Visitor centre. I was having a coffee courtesy of John, who I'm pleased to see in your comments section.
Love the look of your new Scrambler. I'm sure when I looked at the new Scrambler on the Motorcycle Live stand, that it now had an ignition key. I absolutely detest keyless systems. You can't currently insure a keyless Range Rover in London as so many are being nicked!
I'm personally not that keen on the dash on the Scrambler, the info is all a bit small to read for my ageing sight.
Brilliant engine and gorgeous to look at.

Ironically I hate those clocks on the rocket 🚀 but like them on the scram , yes you are right they have now scraped the keyless not ignition for a key mainly to cut costs , it was definitely good to bump into you we will definitely have to do a collaboration one day ☝️John is a lovely bloke and seems to be working his way through every video 🙏as ever thank you for your support it’s RUclipsrs like yourself and your good lady that always inspire me to try harder 🙏

That’s always exciting to buy a bike that’s new to you.
I bought an XC this past June, so I feel your excitement.
      These screamers are awesome.
I like mine stock because triumph did all the hard work already. I can’t thank them enough.
They look so good it’s enough just to stand there admiring it.
Riding it feels just as good that you never want to stop.
If the gas tank was any bigger you could hahaha.
      Good luck with your purchase.
Ride it safely so you can ride it for a many many years.

Thanks for another interesting episode. I really enjoyed it.
I’m going to have to spend the weekend with the owner’s manual, attempting to get all the electronics set up.
I had to leave the bike at the dealership for some accessories installation. When I got it back the clock was way off the actual time.
Really looking forward to learning how to operate all the electronics that the bike comes with. It’s way more sophisticated than any of my previous bikes.
Have you tried any of the different riding modes?
I’m thinking that Sport Mode could be my favorite setting.
    Happy Trails!

    • @bikerbuddy3166
      @bikerbuddy3166  2 месяца назад +1

You are going to love it I tend to spend 98% of the time in sport mode it will soften it off to road in heavy rain and I’ve used rain mode in icy conditions the modes don’t limit the power it just adjusts how it’s delivered I’ve also found road mode better for city conditions or slow moving traffic, I can’t make my mind up between the two different displays as I like both for different reasons but as ever that’s personal preference, for me I just love everything about the scram it not only fits me it’s suits my everyday day needs your definitely going to love yours I look forward to hearing how you get get on with her 🙏 as ever thank you for watching and commenting 😎👍

I echo your thoughts on the Scram. I purchased one two years ago and owned it for about 6 months. I traded it for a KTM 1290 SA. Well, 18 months later and I’m back on a 1200 xe. Why on earth did I ever sell the first one? I have really no idea! Stupid is as stupid does as a wiser man than me once observed!

What a great educational vid. I loved it. I love the Triumph brand. I had the Trident 660, what a stunning bike that was. Took it in for its 12 month service and that’s where I set my eyes on the scram 900 Chrome edition. I bought it there and then.. I had a beautiful Tom Hurley custom seat put on it and I have to say… it’s absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, I wasn’t tall enough for the 1200… lol 😊😊

Like you, I am a Triumph fan boi. However, my tastes go back to a previous factory, starting with a 1970 T100P as my first big bike, followed by a 1968 T120. Much later I built a 1956 Thunderbird 'flat tracker' custom named 'Hot Pursuit' (featured in AWOL magazine) and all these years later I am finally in the process of building the Thunderbirds brother, a 1975 T140 which came to me as a pile of bits and boxes. Hopefully it will see the road next year under the name of ...'Slow Progress'.... my dream bike.

Love the vid matey. Purchased a 1200 in August. My Trident 660 was in for recall work and a scrambler was offered as a courtesy bike. Thought it'd be a 900. They gave me the keyless key and I instantly worried about its size and weight but I headed out from the dealer forecourt and instantly fell in love with it. Three weeks later I bought one. Absolutely love it. Bags of torque and bags of character.

I am very excited about the new MX bikes, mainly to see the road legal enduro versions when they show their face. I'd still have to spend a grand making them fit me, but I imagine the 450 will come out about the time I'll be wanting to replace my Beta.
I do wish the keyless ignition thing would die a death and all manufacturers would ditch it entirely.... a failed solution to a problem that never existed.
Very nearly on the 1k there mate! 🙂
If I could have any bike right now, it'd be the Yamaha XSR900 GP, but I don't think I can make it happen... I do very much love my Suzuki GSX-8S though 🙂

So satisfying to see someone like you, who knows infinitely more about motorcycles than I do end up loving the Triumph Scramler XE as much as I do. I think the argument can be made that it is the best modern classic Triumph ever made. Can you answer a question - the tank shape and the paint on the 2019 - 2023 Scrambler XE is so beautiful (the seamless look vs. pinch weld) - I wonder what you think about the tanks on other Bonnevilles? Is it cost avoidance that makes them not pursue this tank construction and finish on other bonnies?

    • @bikerbuddy3166
      @bikerbuddy3166  7 месяцев назад

Firstly a big thank you for watching and commenting but most of all a massive thank you for becoming my 1000 subscriber 😎🤘with the 1200 they really did go all out to give it the quality it deserved and yes I would put it down to cost as with most things , and this shows in quite a few other models especially in the 900s but even on bikes like the bobber I always wanted to see a double front disc as it felt so under braked and it was purely to cost cut and never got rectified until they released the bobber black with a higher price , but on the flip side of that even when triumph cut costs they still aim to give you the best quality for your money 💰

I’d love to visit that factory some day.
    Where is it exactly?
A great video would be if they gave you permission to record the start to finish process, or at least some of it.
Love your enthusiasm about these triumph motorcycles.
I bought a new 2022 XC after twenty years of not having a motorcycle and I’m very happy I chose this bike.
The look is first, the feel, the sound, the comfort….all fantastic.
I think you’re the perfect person to ask about an issue I’m having with this bike and it started inside the showroom.
I noticed a bit of oil just under the front sprocket.
The motorcycle now has 1500 miles and it’s still leaking.
The dealer claims it’s hot chain wax….its not.
I love this bike, I’m very excited to have this bike, I love it so much I would like to buy one more to have two, is how much I love this bike, BUT this tiny oil leak is putting turning my smile up side down.
I found a video here on YT and it explains how excessive pressure in the motor can cause an oil leak.
I think this is what’s happening but not sure.
I selected this bike new from a showroom so it was still new with two miles on it.
Can’t blame the previous owner because there isn’t one.
This is a factory defect and the dealer refuses to acknowledge the problem.
One more problem is the clutch hops as I let it out from a stop.
This started immediately following the 699 mile first service.
The dealer refused to acknowledge this problem as well.
Any help from you would mean so much to me.
I would try to fix this myself but I don’t want to void the warranty.
    Cheers !

Firstly thank you for watching and commenting most appreciated 🙏I definitely haven’t seen this problem in pre production, and it’s definitely a problem you shouldn’t have to accept, I’m not sure we’re in the world you are but I would definitely swap your dealer , there customer care sounds shocking, if you go on the triumph website you used to be able to find John bloors email and I’ve known customers with the same passion for the triumph brand get results , there’s been occasions over the years that I’ve been sent out to customers that have had problems and emailed him direct and the problems that unscrupulous dealers wouldn’t resolve, have been sorted at the factory ,as for the clutch it could be all it needs is a slight adjustment try at the lever first but yet again this is something the dealer should have looked into , we have some amazing dealers in uk but we also have some shit ones ☝️and my advice is don’t take it lying down and go higher than the dealer that is fobbing you off I really hope you get this sorted 🙏
