I'm retired...why am I watching stuff I've done 1000 times !! I regularly found the "miracle cure" for cold radiators and Greenstar Juniors in winter was turning the boiler stat up...the KISS principle. Good sensible training video Roy, thankyou.

Hello Roy, what a great video. Adding in the "customer complains of XXXXXXXX, the possible reason is XXXXXXX", is soooo valuable to those of us who are new to the service/repair side. Keep up the good work. Thank you also to Wilbur from the Isle of Wight for asking Roy to do this one.

Roy , I have a ideal independent 24 combi when the radiators reach the required temperature it makes a high pitch whistling noise, I've had two engineers out and they say I need a new boiler, but my boiler is only 14 months old. What's your thoughts.

Thanks for the video's I find them very informative and helpful. If you could put up a video regarding loud noise on ideal boilers I would be very grateful. I have tried everything to solve but just not happening. Eg flue clear , injector clean all the usual looking for restrictions etc. Remove sump cap noise stops . The only thing I have noticed is something going on in condense trap but waste seems clear any help would be appreciated

Hi Roy I've changed the divertor valve, cleaned the heat exchanger and still the water is cool unless you run it slowly, radiators are hot which is normal. Any ideas could it be the electricial switch which operates the divertor valve.

An AAV on the rest of the system, say at the highest point, should have the cap tightened up. The AAV is for filling purposes only.
In this instance it is for a different reason.
