Great and helpful video as always because quite few times it happened that I had put baxi boilers on calibration mode but the mode turns off.. too much annoying.
Excellent Learning video. Really thorough, just wish he did more close ups like when he removed the air tube.. apart from that it’s great..literally step by step. Thank you.
@@AllenHart999I already am Allan.. you have some great informative videos. Being relatively new and not a great deal of experience they help me out no end.. thank you. 🙏
Great video, thanks for the information, as a learning resource for gas engineers videos like this are second to none. I've been working on these boilers everyday for a while now and it's always good to know if there's something you're missing when you're working on them. Thanks again Allen and Roy, keep them coming. 👍
Excellent advice and knowledgeable. We have a main eco boiler with a problem, heating turn right down to 30 on display but the heating will stay on 50 maybe more display still says 30 any advice what the problem could be don’t want to get ripped off before knowing the problem. Thanks
Hi Allen, I got two questions on this video, please could you explain when you get chance. 1. Spark electrodes, why it has to be twin , what's the difference between single and twin electrodes and the twin works, do both spark at the same time? 2 why you have to fill up condensate trap after you clean?
Could we get Roy to do a video on the ga range with calibration of the gas valve and some hints and tips etc. I think he’ll agree it wasn’t Baxi’s best boiler although when they launched it he told me at Leeds college of building they where going to be.😂 I’m seeing a lot of these on the back of the scrap mans vans because some engineers are scared of them and they are writing them off
My Main eco elite boiler is making a loud (intermittent) vibrating noise. I’ve bled all the radiators and there’s no air in the system. It’s not the pump or the fan. What else could it be? Are there rubber bushing that can be worn somewhere?
I know these tutorials are going to be great. With Allen, Roy & the viva team. Always a 👍 from me. A quick question Roy. I attended a main 24he with CH on constant demand. I disconnected linked out the stat. Still the same, I haven't checked voltage across the brown & black terminals for the gas valve. The flow pipe was cold as the boiler was off. I put HW on demand and the flow pipe was still cool. Would I be correct in looking the gas valve to be at fault? The central heating diff pin is constant on the micro. switch.
Hi, I would check the Dhw micro switch is not faulty and calling for a demand. The diverter sits on CH mode so would appear as a CH demand. If the pump isn't running the CH pin should not be out so could be stuck.
The new ears are very spongey so when there a few months old they compress & lose there outward force so particularly the bottom right bolt on heat exchanger face becomes very loose.after fitting a new seal if possible give them another tweak if your ever back there again.
Hi Alan!Hi Roy!good to see if boiler overheats take the clip off diverter valve off.do we have to take the hall effect sensor out of its housings aswell for full gas rate?
i used to train by the merry hill centre for my Gas safe. The tutor Alan Braznal was corrupt ( asking pupils for Alcahol! and cheated pupils exam grades.i was one of those.i left. the course. He ws reported for his ways with pupils, i think he did something very wrong. and i hope he is not still working there as he is a danger to the public!
What a brilliant "refresher"... well explained by trainer. Clear and concise. Keep up the well informative training videos Roy & Allen.
Video helps with decision making when replacing or upgrading. Retired plumber.

Can we have a video on servicing an alpha and Vokera boiler 😊
Very Educative

what causes the boiler to restart when the tap
water is too cold and how to adjust so there is reasonable continuous hot water
really good video

So one question: why the top mounted shedder-valve?

Hi Avnish, No you don't need to remove the hall effect sensor, Baxi used to recommend it, but it's not required.
Great vid!
heat exchanger looks like a potterton paramount
Well spotted Clive, it is indeed a version of the Paramount heat exchanger 👍
