This is the same umbreon moveset and itemset and general playstyle that I have haha, it’s like watching a mirror that is more experienced than I am |D I’ve felt kind of meh about my emblem set though so I’ll have to try out this one! I love grabbing all the mon specific emblem sets from these play videos.
I guess thats fine since Umbreon is a defender at the end of the day but I think it would benefit you the most to just learn how to play the game better so you can get away with more aggressive builds.
i use mean look/snarl build i use held items same just instead of attack weight i use exp share emblems best i got so far kangaskhan, poliwrath, smeargle, snorlax, pidgeotto, piloswine, mantine, nidoqueen, ho-oh, slowking 6 white, 4 blue, 4 brown, 2 purple oh and slow smoke
Umbreon still has counters though. Especially Gardevoir since her special attack is the highest in the game. And if all your held items are at 30 like mine you can shred tanky defenders with psychic and psyshock. The damage she does is actually disgusting I love it 😌
I just don't get the allure of Foul Play+Snarl. It feels so underwhelming, even when playing full stacks. FP feels like it hits like a wet noodle unless being overleveled. Even having an enemy umbreon with FP doesn't even cause me any amount of sweating, unlike mean look wich can be brutal once trapped in.
Is Resonant Guard broken in your opinion? I see you play it in almost every defender build. I get why stacking with cookie + attack weight is a good combo on umbreon but I dont like stacking build so I rather go with focus band + muscle band + rapidfire to get most out of my mean looks. Any suggestions/ pros cons about my build? :)
I really need to work on getting more defender items ready. The resonant shield is so good, but it's at lvl 27 while the biscuit is at lvl 20. Is lvl 20 still decent or should I hold off on a build that requires the biscuit? As for the resonant shield, I can make work for now.
Yes. Emblems give passive benefits based on the number of the same color emblems you have. With attack for example, with 2 browns you get +1% Attack, +2% with 4 and +4% with 6. Emblem builds don't really care about the whole " +30 HP, -4 Speed" thing that the emblems show. It's more of just trying to get as many emblems of the same color that give a passive benefit you want. Ranged Sp. Attackers usually use 6 greens, 7 blacks for sp atk and cool down reduction on their moves Melee attackers use 6 browns and 6 whites to have the extra damage from the browns and the whites give HP which is more useful if your up in the fight. You can check the other passive effects of other colors in the emblem builder thing
Though usually you won't use anything besides browns, greens, whites, blacks, pink&blue(leftover passive boost from some stuff like kabutops) or yellows (niche but some characters can use cheesy speed builds like sableye which really doesn't try to deal damage)
Full props if you did at exactly 5 minutes "hey this is the midpoint of the match" and then had the surrender pop up over you and cut you off

I like to use focus instead of weight along with potion. I survived things I shouldn’t have with it
Does Wish's healing scale based on atk or hp?
I play healers a lot and i wonder if i should stack as Wish Umbreon

I always preferred FP&Snarl over Mean Look&Wish , and i use the exact same build with the exception of Eject, i use X Speed instead
ML + Wish is my favorite build, but I play it more like support (heal and protect carry). For defender FP + Snarl is better.
I had somebody tell me mean look is bad after the nerfs and therefore Umbreon is bad or something. It's still way too strong though.
This build is fair, mean look is still disgusting and unfair
