We should forever be thankful to Schumacher for this Masterpiece because without it the franchise could not be put on Ice (Get it Mr Freeze pun🥶) and thus be resurrected by Christopher Nolan with Batman Begins 😉👍
I think Schumacher's been unfairly maligned by Gen Y movie nerds for 20 years based on just the two Batman movies he made, even though he had a long and varied career well beyond those that deserves to be appreciated. Even then he still apologised to comic fans for Batman and Robin, even though I hardly think he needed to just for a movie. That's just how lovely he was though as far as I can tell (as further exemplified by the way he acknowledges the whole crew of the movie at the end of this interview), and I miss him.
I know a lot of people that actually find this very fun and entertaining, especially after all the dark crap we've been subjected to the last 15 years. I really feel we need to return to the lighter Batman honestly.
@@JaredGriffiths2000 Oh I'm glad you're not (and it is her job after all. You'd have to be a real sociopath to start every interview with "now I really hated your movie".)
Speaking positively about a movie when the director is sitting there in front of you is probably a much better way to conduct a productive interview with said director versus opening with a laundry list of criticisms. And who knows? Maybe she really is the type person who prefers lighthearted and comedic movies over dark and brooding stuff. She seems pretty sincere with her opinion.
R.I.P. Joel Schumacher, "Batman and Robin" is totally my biggest guilty pleasure!
I just love the way Joel speaks. It's so flamboyant and articulate.
poor guy. regardless of what everyone says, batman forever and batman&robin will always bring a unique bliss to many of us born in the 90's. RIP Joel

The funniest meta humor Batman film I have ever seen. Thank you, Joel!

You guy
I wish George Clooney Batman would have cared about making a good movie 🎞️
Does this woman just love everything?
Yeah, imagine being a positive person?
@@kingofpointless I'm not being mean, she just loves every movie that comes out

@@kingofpointless That kind of honesty would make for a great conversation.
