This can be programmed on a control from 1980's. Just Needs a Fanuc control equipped with Macro B option on a lathe with a servo driven spindle (and Y-axis in this case).
Trichoidal milling will blow your mind then, its worth checking out. It really displays how little we humans can think like robots. Simple(ish) coding changes like this can speed up the manifacturing of a part quite immensely.

You could also write WHILE[#103LT600]DO1; ... END1; WHILE statements are safer than GOTO spaghetti programming. Also in this case a local variable like #100 is preferred over global variables #500 because it's not used outside of the program so you keep that global variable clear for other uses Wish I could try that to impress my colleagues but I only have a C-axis doosan
