I’ve gotten this Boss RC-10R Looper and so glad i did!!👍🏾🤣 It’s a very cool pedal for those of us whom like to groove when looping!! 🎛✨👌🏾 Yeah,..it only has 2 Tracks but that is more than enough to do what you wish if you understand just how the pedal functions! Exceptional Looping requires good planning of what you wish to achieve on ANY Looper so this is no different in that regard but the Boss RC-10R just let’s you get away with a bit more!..as in loop time!! ☝🏾Here’s my tip❗️B4 you start,..pre-arrange just how you’re going to get the desired Loop Phrase in,..for example; to get an entire arrangement of a tune..(cover or original) ..go at it by dividing the tune into 2 halves,..1st section on Track 1,..2nd on Track 2. Meaning that,..you record the Intro,..1st Verse,..(Sub Chorus if exists) then 1st Chorus,..then 2nd Verse (w/ a variation perhaps for texture..most great Producers do this!)..then that next Sub Chorus & or Chorus...then end that loop session on Track 1..👌🏾 Do the same on Track 2 but start with your “Bridge/ and or Solo Section”...then do the Main Chorus Vamp (x 2 maybe??) then your Ending!! And you’ll have a killer tune pre-arranged on the Boss RC-10R that you can just start the tune to “perform” it and switch the two tracks via a MIDI footswitch & Boss Dual footswitch FS-6 or BOTH,.. I just got the rc10r. I hooked it up, put it in the A B mode with the drums going to my PA System. The looper side going to my amp. I sync`ed it, and played my first loop with my guitar set on a clean tone. It recorded and played back fine, but when I changed my effects to distortion tone to do the overdub, everything, (loop and drums from first recording) was distorted. When I went back to clean it was fine! I have it set up from my amp, to muli-effects pedal, to RC10r pedal. What am I doing wrong? I should hear what was recorded in the first loop which was clean, and be able to put a distorted guitar on the overdub, without everything getting distorted right? This is my first looper, and manual really tells you nothing! Would be very thankful for any help!
Hey there, happy to help ya if I can. so... I guess sounds like your effects are after the rc10r in the chain rather than before right? So the effects, distortion, etc need to be before the looper otherwise the entire signal will be affected. Hope that helps?

I had the same problem when I pigged into the front of the amp. To stop effects on overdubs you should go through amp effects loop.Hope this helps
