Thanks for this great information! If using reverse osmosis to purify water, please add some mineral salt, or electrolyte powder to replace the lost minerals.
Definitely could have, but I’m happy with the space. I saw a few other units that were so narrow and I hate that, I don’t mind paying a bit more to be fully satisfied/not compromise on things
I am there at this moment. It is very dirty and far to expensive for what you get. The pollution, both air and environment, is shocking. Quality of water / food (pesticides etc) is according. Not for me.
Hello Eric, thanks for the informative video regarding cost of living in Chaing Mai area, and of course if you compare prices with the US or even here in Europe where I live specially the apartment that is aprox 800 eur here will be easy depending on the area around 1500 eur, which is for you the complete cost of living for the month mean food, utilities, miscellaneous, transportation, hobbies and others. I see even cheaper apartments under 500 eur, we look a house in Doi Saket beatiful for the same price you pay for this apartement. I will be in 10 days in Chiang Mai, first visit Bangkok, Koh Samui and then Chiang Mai as a place to retire , therefore this travel will be confirm what we saw on videos and every one love Thailand, my son is right now in Bangkok as a digital Nomad and he will be also visiting Chiang Mai and perhaps settle down there. What do you hear about the burning season?. Thanks again for the video
Good luck finding a spot and getting to retirement! It’s great. As far as burning, I’ve visited before during that time and it wasn’t “that bad” but of course each day is different and people react in different ways. If it’s too bad I’ll probably head out traveling elsewhere.
Everyone and their dog has the perennial title of "How Much does it cost to live Thailand", otherwise known as how long is a piece of string. RUclipsrs just love this title as it seems to attract lots views, comments and income for the RUclipsr. It costs as much as you want to spend.
Exactly you can buy a house but not the land, most people will buy a condo, but also you need to be careful because the price you sale to an ex-pat is not the same if you sale to a Thai people is less.
I might be replying here for a second time... if I am sorry, it seems my other comment is here but I can't see it. Very odd. I'll try to reach out to him, would be fun to interview him or something if he is down for it.
Thumbs up 👍 Eric
keep pumping out those Thailand videos Eric!!!!
You know it! Let’s go.
Good video Eric. Hope the training and diet are going well. Don’t forget to do some resistance training too.
I lift in the condo gym… only dumbbells but it’s enough for now. Plus pull ups

Thanks. I’ll make sure I get my electrolytes
I think you could have found a cheaper condo. But hey, that pool looks amazing, so maybe it's worth it!

What’s some areas you recommend moving to? Hua Hin looks cool, but also a bit out from where you are.
Huahin is nice, laid back. Lots of older retirees. I always prefer the north of Thailand but anywhere is good really.

To me seems a bit commercial...i d like to go more to philippine laos and vietnam
Same level of pollution and poor quality of food / water. Slightly tendency of Vietnam getting better in the next years…
How much is that rent in dollars?
About 800 bucks
@ that’s cheap, my house payment in California is $5000 a month, lol
Are you concern about the pollution in Ching Mai?
A little bit, but I can always just travel or head home for a bit if it’s too bad
Have you hooked up with Bjørn Nyland? He is also in this city these days with his family 😃
