Before pushing the wiring grommet through the door and removing the wiring with the mirror, tie a piece of string to the socket. When it's removed you can then re-tie the string to the new socket before fitting the mirror. This way you can use the string to pull the socket back through the hole in the door which is the hardest thing in this whole job.
@@chickennugget3362 the wire is stopping you from opening the window it's catching on the wire on the way down, you need to jiggle the wire while opening the window
Thank you. I needed to know this. Just spent 5 minutes typing the same thing as user-tp4tv4uf2j. 100% agree with him. Always best to tie a draw wire/string to the end of a cable to pull out the old wiring then use the draw wire to pull the new one back through. Make sure you attach your draw wire to the cable and not the connector ,otherwise you will have to fish out the connecter if it pulls off. Use cheap insulation tape to make a smooth end and don't be ham-fisted.
Hi, I ordered the wing mirror which has 10 holes in the male connector while the car's female connector has 8 holes (that means the original mirror of the car has 8 holes in it's male connector). Now the new mirror's plug is wider and can't be plugged in. Is there anyway to conver the connector?
You forgot to show how to take the door skin off properly for example where all the lug screws are and what size T sockets you need to unscrew them with, otherwise good video very helpful cheers bud👍🙂🍻

Thanks for watching really appreciate it the only way is rewire the plug or I would just put the mirror on adjust it on time by hand and just leave it
@@TEAMR4ULTV thanks for the suggestion. Do you think the motor and indicator will work if I rewire it?

So hey I have a 2016 fiesta and I have replaced both driver and passenger side and it stops my windows from going all the way down
Maybe the wire Is jamming the window. Maybe you haven't put the wire through properly
very interesting video thanks for sharing
Nice one!

Not as easy as you make it out. Getting the wire throw the slot is virtually impossible
