Another great video that guided me through changing my mirrors over this weekend. I completely forgot about the string, so just took the speaker out to feed the cable back in that, some might find that easier than the string. Also, be careful you don't feed the cable through the window channel (where the window sits when down).
Helpful video. Bought a wing mirror from Ebay and followed this video to replace my existing one. Passenger side for me but it's much the same. I was unable to unscrew the bolt (at 4:50) though, it just kept turning but not unscrewing so I had to make do with the interior door panel half off, but it was enough to reveal what was needed. Nice tip with the shoelace, but getting the new plug through that small hole was a nightmare!
Very useful video and appreciate you putting it together. Have a front speaker swap to get my head around in the new year, almost all other videos online aren't for our region model which is a pain. Nice Mountune flaps as well :-)
@@CarRambles believe mine was slightly older version fiesta as it's 59 plate, no internal door reflector cap to remove and I think the airbag is in the seat rather than door
Hey thanks dude! Perfect explaination, helped me put my new mirror on after some twat kicked it off and destroyed it :) much appreciated and top tip about the string! The plug is literally the size of the hole so would be almost impossible 😂
Hi, I need to replace the passenger side wing mirror on my mk7.5 fiesta ST, but I cannot find genuine new Ford parts online? Are after market makes like from euro car parts alright to use? Or should I buy a second hand mirror from eBay?
Car Rambles Thanks for all your help mate, I got the door card off easily enough and then discovered the sprocket I had wasn’t long enough to reach the nut!! A quick drive to B&Q and a decent socket set later, and I had the mirror off no problem. I didn’t unplug those plugs though and the clip that black one goes on to snapped! I used electric tape to attach it back on so a word of advice UNPLUG THEM! I also noted a little black piece of plastic on one of the metal legs on my original mirror, I put that on my new mirror and it works great! And the string trick worked a treat, you need to test your window before putting it back together as I read the wire can stop it moving if it’s not in the correct place, so the string is necessary I think to ensure it goes back properly.
Hey. Thanks for the informative video on removal of the wing mirror. I just can't understand the losers who would give a thumbs down on a video that is helpful. Probably nova fanboys 😆
Aha ahh it's normal, what they don't understand is it still helps my video out with exposure ;) Thanks for watching! Hope to see you in the comments in future videos :)
Was going to put more sound deadening in my doors but it looks like Ford have been pretty generous with that already. Thanks for saving me a job.
Thanks for the video. Just changed this after someone hit my daughter’s car. Made it easy and saved a few quid which is always nice. Cheers
Just had my door mirror taken off my ST this morning thanks for the vid made my life a whole lot easier.
The only helpful video out there. Thanks.
Thanks for a clear video of this.. And tip on string!

I think I’ve done this as window now only goes down about half way what do I do to fix it ? Reroute the wiring ?

Where did you get the 7.5 replacement? I keep finding mk7 but I’m unsure if they will fit
I think it was a site called underground parts, I'm pretty sure the Mk7 will fit 👍
Haha the funny thing is, i broke mine at that exact same place right side mirror. I also have a white Ford Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost mk7. 5
How long does this take to do roughly?😊 Great video thank you

You want the whole thing or?
