That “facing backward” would be awesome for a snowblower. Yes, I’m Canadian.😊😊
I was thinking the same thing!
Also handy when using a 3pt stump grinder, buck-rake, post driver/digger etc
I live in the middle of Apple country, and I see tractors like this all the time some of the orchards are on quite steep hills, and they have to be built with a low center of gravity
I've seen these tractors before in the past, though not in person. They're neat machines. I wonder how well it would work with a stump grinder mounted to it having that ability to move the operator station around. The European tractor brands seem to make their machines more versatile than our domestic ones. I always wondered why we never had front-mount PTO's on our own machines so you could mount a snow blower versus cranking your head back while using a 3-point mounted version. The whole point is to see where you're going and the thought of looking behind you while backing up so you can clear snow is an outdated concept. People aren't owls, we're not designed to twist our heads 180 degrees. :)
This is a great answer to comment that I made on a previous TTwT. I was trying to figure out how to mount a 3-point hitch on the front and use the center PTO and you explained how the mid-PTO's didn't rotate as fast as the rear PTO making it impractical for brush hogging operations. This would even eliminate the problem with trying to look over the hood. The only down side is no front -end loader but hey, it just came out. Give a a couple of years and who knows what will be available. Good find!
Bonatti loaders, Carraro doesn't make their own. This tractor is just a rebadge of a Carraro.
I would love to have one of these. Back in the day there used to be three points on the front of tractors in America (I thought), idk why they would get rid of they. I wish the front could mimic the back!
Versatile and later Ford/New Holland have made bi-directional farm tractors in North America for many years. They are quite handy for a lot of jobs but the main drawback is that it takes more time and effort to change things around than having a dedicated machine for each task as most large scale farmers do. The other thing is there is very little equipment here that is designed to be pushed rather than pulled with the exception of skid steer attachments.
I checked that out on Friday and man I could not get comfortable in the cab. Nice bcs machines and attachments around it.
Being able to swivel the seat and run mowers and blowers, while looking "forward", is what interests me. Reminds me of the old Versatile tractors.
I remember that Versatlie from the early 80’s I think. Saw it at the Farm Progress Show when I was a kid.
This is a really neat compact tractor. Really needs a loader which is what made the NH Bi-Directionals so handy. With the New Holland tractors I don't think there was a loader for the "Front" either. My cousin used to have a Versatile BiDi on his farm.
This kind of tractors are widely used in spain and italy in greenhouse cultivation and also in small home orchards.
I like it. It’s like a ventrac on steroids. I think it would be nice to operate 3 point attachments by turning around the operator station. I had heard the models sold in Italy have an available loader, not sure how true that is.
I really like the idea of PTO powered three-point hitch attachments in the front. Front loaders on compacts are not common in Europe so they are more oriented to using a front mount for snow and mowing attachments. Having a rear mounted brush cutter and having to drive over top of everything before cutting it is not a good design. Neither is doing it all in reverse.
Agreed, I would love front mount mower and hvac cab combo makes alot of sense.
The pictures of the tractor in use, 7:16 and 7:18, show the operators sitting much further back from the steering wheel. Are you sure you did not miss an adjustment somewhere. Maybe the console slides forward a bit? I could not work like that. Cool video guys, thanks.
Antonio carraro tractors are virtually the same and the mark 4R has tracks and I’ve watched it on RUclips in the vineyards in Italy,They are low to the ground ,pretty cool,Thanks Tim for showing this Ferrari tractors
There's loaders available for these articulated ones as well, but they're mounted in the back and then as show'n you'll turn the seat. They are of course focused on wine growing, but have been shown to be effective for small forestrywork as well because of their pulling power and small footprint.
I had looked at similar tractors and they seem to be extremely versatile and handy. That said, they are not built for old stiff joints, they are very difficult to put on. Yes I said put on because you don't sit on it you climb into if your young enough and limber enough. At 70+ it was extremely difficult to get seated in. I do like front mounted 3 point and pto's.
That's an interesting tractor, the articulating feature is good in tight spaces for sure.
Tractors like this have been around since I was young and I’m 52
Been watching your channel for years. ALWAYS get excited to see notification of a new video released!
Thanks! That is encouraging!
My grandfather had a Ford articulated tractor back in the late 60's. They were awesome! Things were layer out differently from our other Ford's like the 5000 series but boy, was it fun to drive!
The 25 horse would be great a home in tight places, would need a bucket loader though.
Bonatti makes the loaders for them. You wouldn't want less than 80hp tho.
Interesting machine. I had seen this machine featured in a tractor advertisement sometime ago. Quite unique. Seems as those the Europeans have a few more offerings on their machines than here in America. We need to be pushed. Competition and more choices are good for the consumer. I like the fact that Deere finally offers a 3 pt. hitch for the front of some of their machines. Long over due. It certainly could expand the use of more front attachments even a front mount mower if they chose to develop and add that option.
Totally all in on the articulating platform! Not a skid steer fan. Front 3-point could be very handy and an ergo advantage given modernly recognized tasks for professional landscapers and homesteaders alike. A mini wheel loader, if that makes sense. Ventrac and Bobcat are knocking on the door.
Great video Tim. I enjoy the videos where you show new products and manufactures the most. The tractor as a whole might not be a good fit in the U.S. but some of the technology and engineering might spark future designs that become a bit hit in the future.
Ferrari red is the racing version!
Very unique controls/seat would be a great feature to have.
I have run the Versatile 276/ Ford 9030E as a farm utility tractor. After seeing the Antonio Carrerra with the tracks, I hoped they would make a loader for the cab end, like the Versatile bi-directional. It makes viewing the loader and bucket more like that of the Skid Steer having excellent vision. Then the engine end becomes the ballast for the loader. Hopefully the small European manufacturers of this style of bi-directional compacts will offer the cab end loader as it would be quite handy. Or perhaps they could offer a loader for the engine end as well, then the unit could be set up as a multil role unit much like the Huddig industrial unit.
Antonio Carraro
If you are driving down the road at 25 mph you would most likely want to set the steering to only the axle turning.
Actually it's not that hard.
They need to let one of these come to channel for demo!!!
Very cool tractor how ever a guy my size is gonna have a hard time getting in and out but I could definitely see how in the right situation I would be as handy as a shirt pocket
A tractor like this would be interesting with a mulcher. I'm 6'3", so I probably will need more room to operate the tractor. I do like the idea idea of being able to switch the direction of the seat for the job being performed.
Would probably be a good option for mowing roadsides and snow blowing inside municipalities!
Very unique tractor. It would be handy if or lots of applications. Thanks
Yeah.... not a Ferrari. Antonio Carraro. Tho I like the green color. You can actually get Carraros in the US in the 100hp and quad-track range. They're used down in Florida on several of the blueberry ... 'vineyards'. I saw some discussion of front loaders, Bonatti makes all the Carraro compatible loaders - worth a look if you have a small tractor because most of the models are actually 3-point systems - turn these little tractors into pocket wheel loaders.
I wish Ventrac could make a larger tractor similar to this with a hvac cab. It would be awesome. 🎉
What a utilitarian compact tractor. The possibilities are endless for various uses, and attachments. It could make your imagination run wild. Speaking of wild, that auction sounds like a blast. Sounds like some folks are going to get some bargains, and it will be fun to watch. Blessings.
That is quite a different tractor.
Ford had an articulated bidirectional tractor for ag use. 100-150 hp I believe Concept is intriguing. Many possibilities.
and Versitile and New Holland
There have been this type of tractors in Europe for over 50 years. On my channel you can see a 21 hp example that has been doing the most varied types of work for over 30 years.
These are what i used to say id buy before a ventrac you can get smaller there a great machine
I've seen video ,of a tractor like this with a fancy snowblower that has a cool blade for blowing in forward and reverse
I like the implement out front
Looks great! But no loader? That’s my primary tool!
Very interesting!
articulated tractors are amazing machines but all that extra moving parts and electronics in my mind at least, are more prone to wear and when it comes time for replacement and service i dont see it being an easy job
No loader is a down fall. Sure looks hard get in and out the cab. Open station maybe easier to get on and off of. 🤷🏻♂️. But I’m sure it has its place in the world.
I’d be guessing electrical troubles as it gets older with the turning seat. Just my thoughts.
Have a great day 👋👋
I'm not necessarily interested in articulated steering, but would like all-wheel steering (AWS). I would need a loader and ability to run a brush mower. I would prefer an option of propane rather than diesel power.
Every popular brand of tractor available in the United States is the same and hasn't changed in the last 30+ years. It would be nice if John Deere would take a step forward and introduce a 35 hp tractor with AWS and a propane fueled engine.
Back in the 60's and Early 70's John Deere had Several Tractors that were avalable as Gas, Diesel, or Lp Gas . As to Propane Fuel , Change Carb, fuel tank and some other stuff there you are. The same principal as a bi or Tri fuel generator
I find myself hopping on and off of my tractor fairly often so this may be a bit frustrating... but for those applications which don't require much on/off it's a pretty interesting concept.
Again, I wish I would live in the states and would be able to buy one of those tractors at that auction... :/
Crazy machine
A mini version of a New Holland TV6070 bi directional tractor?
Ok, THIS is a ferarri that I'd buy. Will be pinching pennies for a couple of years. I can REALLY see this with a forestry mulcher and a flail mower on it.
Bonatti I think use to make a 3 point rear loader for them and EL Leon makes a front mounted loader for them I've seen on the internet of that's any help to you.
McCormick once had a tractor like this the G30R! Made by Valpadana. Very versatile but lack of parts support scares me from them
i would like to see this tractor in that 20 to 30 hp layout i bet that would hols to are steep hills down here in southern IN well and yet let me use my 3 point tools i have
check out an older John Deere 20A it was a rebadged Goldoni 20 hp equal wheeled tractor
A pressurized cab, I wonder what altitude it’s good for?
it'll work if they create a more accessible drivers station
Apparently, it's the same group as BCS walk behind tractors. Take one for a demo
BCS Spa is the owner of the Pasquali and Ferrari tractor brands indeed
Neat tractor!
I like the tractor. I have watched a lot of videos on these tractors and they are amazing
The price seems to be high, but I haven't priced since 2021 I was buying a new 2020 carry-over 100 hp John deere with loader and 10' rotary mower for 80k
Very interesting. I'm sure you have seen in person what do you think of the 3 pt that goes on the front of a 2032/38R?
I have 3 point on 3720 now…not quite standard…and PTO doesn’t spin ‘normal’ speed.
@@TractorTimewithTim I'll have to look up the specs on my 2032R front PTO. I know I can run a snow blower, but never considered about a mower deck. Thx.
It is not a sunroof over here in Europe It is an absolute obligation to have a escape hatch
Only I'd ur has a loader
This is what large ag subsidies does for the equipment market. The Europeans have been supporting their farmers for so long that they've forgotten what a market economy is; that's why they have money for toys like this.
Interesting design, more of a specialty tractor. I grew up on row crop Deere's. Now own a 4044R and find the cab confining. Hope the Italians build better tractors then motorcycles like Ducati or Moto Guzzi!
4R cab is definitely tight
Vrrrroooommmm, Vrrroooommmm...I have seen several European tractors with the rotatable seat that you can drive backwards or control implements on the back of the tractor.
Its good for the american buyer that american companies are been pushed forward im irish and from looking in with yourself and other channels ye were been kept back really you can flail with this tractor u can put a flail hedge cutter on it which is great your flail chipper is where ud see the big change not looking back able to look forward you can get front links over here for them to
Entire controls and pedals spinning looks like a lot of things easily breaking. Seems like a good idea but to me it won't age well.
so $1000 per ho and +$15,000 for cab so that tractor is $90,000 with no loader ?? Pretty steep, plus who's servicing and getting parts for Ferrari tractors ? $90,000 can go get a real nice comparable Deere , Kubota or TWO mahindras . Haven't shopped new but $90,000 would get a Kubota l6060 with loader and backhoe and maybe have money for a few attachments or the new 75hp Deere (4075r? ) With loader and backhoe I would think.
This tractor looks a lot like the John Deere A20.
👍👍
🇨🇦
New series " Tractor Tim P.I"? Lol. I think you're on something about the Europeans pushing us. Seems to me US manufacturers are reluctant to spend more on R&D. Pretty neat tractor though. Would like to see it action.
I'd love to have a Ferrari and a Lamborghini...tractor.
I always wanted a tractor that the steering can swivel but not without bucket arms. That cab is just to small.
I didn’t find it as bad as Ken did.
Some one would try to race ya. Lol from gary
Not really, I have to have a front loader on my tractor!
I believe they ventured with Deere, certainley in the past !
Never heard of that.
@@TractorTimewithTim,my mistake it was carraro… (also Italiën)
@@pauldeblok72 The John Deere 20A was a Goldoni
I had just as soon have a few Cheeseburger's.
one weird combo..
You can see the disgusted look on Ken face When he says, " no loader." He has no place to put his bolt on hooks and maybe a step too. At 25 miles per hour, it probably holds the road better than you think.
Not for me, need loader. Thanks
25 MPH isn't hard to believe from a Ferrari. Imagine telling your friends your Ferrari only goes 25 MPH?
Sorry Tim, you lost me at the very beginning when you used Ferrari and Vega in the same phrase 🙂
Good morning from Wisconsin. All the glory is the Lords!
I could see people buying these just to say they own one. I don’t see the average weekend farmer owning them due to price point and ergonomics. You have a 65 year old man weighted 250lbs or so he is going to have a tough time getting in that machine. Just my opinion
Interesting that I had less problem getting in than did Ken. My longer legs seemed to fit easier!?!?
These are more of a commercial tractor for orchards and probably snow removal
Although that tractor has a cool options, it looks way too uncomfortable and cramped for me to ever consider. Thanks for a sharing but I’ll definitely pass on that one.
I care a lot less about the articulation. I like PTO out front. I want to mow and clear brush without having to look over my shoulder all day.
No loader no sale
In italy there are some loader producers for these vineyard/orchard tractors as Bonatti for example
I think they should be careful. The color looks awfully close to another brand’s copyright color.😮
That reminds me more of a wheel loader.
Not for me. Over $75K with no loader? Nope.
75hp
Very unique design but not loader...I'm out. Thanks for sharing.
At 6'8" and 280 lbs it isn't going to work.
It's a Ferrari, why wouldn't it be fast?
If you could get a red one, it would probably go 30 mph.
Europeans are pushing us forward with new technologies 😂 this kind of orchard/vineyard tractors are used for ages in europe and no doubt in us, like california for example
kohler yes ferrari nope!
Sorry that’s not for me
FERRARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY DIDNT ANY BODY TELL ME FERRAI HAS TRACTORS
Never seen a tractor that needs a biker to operate it more then this thing. I was worried you were eventually going to show us the kick stand also...
