      Depends on the volume. Go to a surfboard volume calculator and put in your credentials, in the shop on the bottom of the board it should say the volume. I recommend a fish, as a fiberglass funboard is going to hold ypu back after 6 months. Fish are wide and full of volume, easy to stand up and paddle. Try and find a fish with volume suiting you.

    Hey i have Been surfing a 7ft foam board, i am 5 foot 7 inches and is pretty new to surfing, would a 6,4 shortboard be a choice? If you maybe have some board suggestions i would love to hear Them, but not too expensive🙏

      Conner Conklin I’d recommend buying a fun board anywhere from 7’2”-7’10”. However it depends on you and what type of waves you’re surfing. I recently transitioned from a 8’ soft top to a 7’6” fun board. I’m (5’9 at 150 lbs)

    don't believe it, he's just trying to get a sale... the transition should not be to a shorter board, but a stiffer one... stay long and wide, life will be better 8)

      If you want to eventually go smaller then he's right in saying minimal ... But if you want to be a longboarder then get a hard longboard

  • @alerista
    @alerista 10 лет назад +1

    And that's why you don't progress anymore, you catch less waves and probably will get a broken nose. Stick to a softboard! Jamie O' Brien surfs pipeline on a softboard!

      Jamie only surfs softies when they pay him to, like any experienced surfer who you see riding a soft top... you'll believe anything?
