It's also a completely different version from the one used in-game. The main melody is played on a piano instead of the more vibraphone-sounding instrument used in the game version.
@@wallacewisdom It might be easier if you compare them side by side with headphones. This is the in-game version on youtube: ruclips.net/video/8HCmDqj28ok/видео.html The game's music is internally sequenced using samples on the PS2, and while the differences are subtle it sounds distinctively different from the music in the OST release.
I disagree with your opinion. In the context of the volume of work he’s had to produce, his originality is shocking and routine is almost necessary. I’ve never once thought his work was ever “predictable.” Because music is a math, an instinctual one at that, predictability is a closely linked aspect. I’d like to hear what you think?
Kinda late to the party, but I disagree. Especially for Nocturne, most of the songs are pretty similar, be it slow ambient drones or fast paced battle themes. Similar because most of 'em are a minor chord that goes up or down a semitone, and after some time, it surely gets boring and predicable. Though that's something, Nocturne still has a stellar OST, mainly because there are some insane and memorable bangers. Great, but really predictable at some point.

Nocturne really created the standard with this when it comes to Large Map themes.

Sounds like 80's style video game music track. I like it.
Well tbf Meguro was inspired by old Japanese funk and jazz bands (Casiopea and the like) for most of his style

Hmmmm large map real universe ver. or post conception large map ver. It's hard to decide. They are both epic sounding in there own rights.
This got remixed in smt v as chironuppu's theme!
it's also can be heard partially in one of the final bosses's track.
cironupp’s theme also remixes SMTI’s kichijoji theme and SMTIV’s tokyo theme at the same time too
