I want to give a shout out to Kevin. Every mountain biker needs a “Kevin” in their lives. Enjoying his contribution to the channel and trail system. 👍🏼
As I veterinarian, I’m intrigued by your making a Frenchie into a trail dog ,and I’m glad Oscar is having such a fun, enriched, active life. (Typing this as I recover from a similar mtb-related ankle fracture as yours - 2 plates, 17 screws)
Heal up! Yeah Oscar was supposed to be Amie’s dog, but he hangs out with us all day. She wanted a good house and cuddle dog, but it turns out he’s a country pup!
@@BermPeakExpress what do you want that he's a real country pup? With such a big and great playground in his backyard! I think he can be a real cuddle pup too you know 😉 ! But i totally understand you guys... Once a Frenchie... Always a Frenchie. Whetever he's a cuddle pup or a country pup...
@@BermPeakExpress Do you have information on the breeder he came from? His build is great, and I am just now contemplating a new one since losing mine earlier this year.
Seth, I caught this video 15 minutes after it was released and 6,000 people had already watched it. If the question is whether or not people want to see more of this sort of thing, I think that's a yes.
Hey Seth one thing to point out thought that those screws might still snap because it looks like the boards don't have much gap in between and as we have seen on The Airbag jump that can snap screws, So be awear of broken screws on the next check😅😅
@@snbsmtb The way Oscar lands so close to that rock on the landing makes me cringe every time, my heart stops! Perhaps that needs some chiseling away, Kevin nearly imploded his derailleur on it too lol
@@BermPeakExpress You might need to gap them more. Back of the envelope math puts a 6" wide board of black locust moving up to 3/32" over a year. (Radial coef of expansion of ~.0025 per 1% change in moisture, with outdoor east coast having up to 5% change over a year, within several standard deviations of normal expectations). Those gaps look under 1/8", I think you'd want at least 1/4" for safety and drainage. An alternative to larger gaping, which does reduce the holding power of the screws but means you can keep the gaps smaller is to make the screw holes wider in the direction of movement, so the board can move around the screw. You'd want to use washers between the screws and the boards, or even longer screws with bigger heads, though.
It's really important to keep a breed like a Frenchie in shape, with their potential for health problems from their conformation; it can keep them healthier so much longer. It's great to see Oscar being so athletic on this feature designed for him!
Hey Seth, i love watching Oscar ride the trail. Hopefully he gets bigger to a point where you can let him wear an action cam for dog POV trail cruising. i don't think i'm the only one here who would want to see that! make it a playlist of every portion or even the whole dh lap in berm peak of what Oscar can do! i'm already suepr stoked just thinking about it! ;)
I love mountain biking! Have my own decent bike and all. Started off a few years ago and Seth told me everything I needed to know about the sport. Great channel, keep it up!!!
As a carpenter i was always taught, that a good rule of thumb, is that the screw must be 2x the dimention of the wood. So if you have 2 inch boards the screws need to be 4 inches :)
Trail building content was the reason I subscribed. Wasn’t far off unsubscribing until the past two videos! Finally getting back too it. Can’t wait for more
Honestly, these videos are the best. I binge watched the "Berm Peak" Playlist over on the main channel in just a few days. I would really like to see a lot more of these videos and more often!
I love it, and I love Oscar! It just makes me sad to hear him struggling to breathe due to the way people have bread these types of dogs :(. (this is not at all an attack on Seth for his choice of dog btw)
Yeah they would be cool little dogs if breeders would stop going for such extreme features. The huge increase in demand for frenchies doesn’t help reduce bad breeding either.
There are very few people I watch on youtube that I will literally watch any video they make, actually, you're the only one. Love these videos, definitely my favorite style of all the types you make!
Love the channel man you are doing so great. Being here from the beginning has made so many memories and your experience with everything has progressed so much.
This is the content we are looking for! Nothing fancy just a little something yet it still includes trail building and riding. Please make more of this! :3
Love that little guy! I have seen, basically all of your videos and I joined the Berm Peak family last week with a new pair of gloves and t-shirt I wear proudly. Now I need to move to a hillside home with a bit of acreage!

Dude is a really great guy/friend.
Wholesome 💯
Yeah he seems mad fun.
So true man. Well said
Thanks Rick. This is was my first hand cut section and glad it worked out well. The wall ride is was the icing on the cake.
Oscars little sneeze at 4:44 mid turn is too much! He was so excited about the delivery man treats too. This was such a fun video.
Ya
The production quality just keeps getting better and better. For what started as a side channel, this is some great content.
@@sbinnala14 the first 2 min was more than enough to conclude this
@@lucasgauci what ?? You had to watch the video to conclude this???
Agreed
Nearly has 1m subs calls it "side" channel😝

2h here, about 52k views
almost 10 thousand likes and just over 65'000 views
Nice to see it come together, fellas. I think that ice cream from Friday gave you the extra strength to move the boulders, lol. Good meeting y'all!
Who would have ever thought Oscar would become the trail dog you always wanted 🤘🏻
Seth has to figure out a way to put wheels on him!!

He‘s like the dog in FarCry 6. Chorizo is his name i believe
He definitely has a low center of gravity.

Great video Seth, The drop is cute just like Oscar and talking of Oscar he is much more energetic as a trail dog than Drama miss him soo much
Yep! We didn’t get good audio of me talking about it but I did gap them very slightly. We didn’t want big gaps because of Oscar’s little paws.

I absolutely love how your editing and the way these videos turn out has changed over the years! A lot of RUclipsrs don't age well.

we love seeing the smaller builds too seth. theyre much more relatable for a lot of us who can only build on a smaller scale
I can see Drama just looking down at Oscar and be proud of his lil brother
I love these little videos, short, and right to the build. nice thing to wake up to on a Sunday!
Finally the Oscar drop! Love seeing Oscar send his drop
