you should put solar panels on the Roof of the camper and charge spare batteries, and take it across the country. That's definitely something I think a lot of viewers would enjoy
No because it’s going to be more heavy.
@@Mrdream1060Ayoubyea those 40 more pounds gonna be to heavy for this fully wood construction. Pretty sure its gonna be fine
@@rollingmanga9680 its more about the strain it'd put on the motors..
Agreed can't believe he didn't!!! I hav solar phone charger solar speaker solar lights all for the bike.. I hav been all about buying everything solar including my generator
Super fast sp quick...don't get on a dirt bike or 650.cycle lol
Ditch the TV and bring a tablet or laptop with you instead. Use solar panel and 12V power. Also, use the tall end of the camper as a headboard to sit up/lounge
Agree 100%
So true
Or a portable screen which is light and can be powered from usb c from your laptop for example
Yes sir!
Good idea,or a phone
We ended up loving our last micro camper so much that we made one for a bike! Hope you guys like the build!!
I like the build
that looks so sick
I really like this little camper
It is pretty cool
would be awesome if you put a small solar panel on it, so it recharges
This is a really nice build! You could easily add about 200 watts of solar on the roof that could add some range to the e-bike / camper and a small power station to run everything inside without having to compromise the range. Using a CIGS type of solar panel would only add about 6 pounds to the camper weight. Great work!
This dudes projects take so long I forget every time I’m subbed to him
That why I have to wait 3 weeks to more to get the videos
The last one was 9 days ago
Very cool. I woulda go with the aluminum frame. foam walls with glued 1/8 inch ply, then spray bedliner all to save weight. Other than that? Maybe an awning over the door? So you could sit in the door but be out of the rain. Solar on top? A tiny fold-out butane cooktop for coffee. a couple cuby's for phone n gear.
Just ideas. I'm sure you had your own! Too fun man! Way to go! Very nice build.
The trailer motors are a brilliant innovation! I hope commercial builders pick this idea up and start producing bicycle campers like this for sale. There needs to be a thriving bicycle camper industry.
It's also something large RVs should do to make them more easily towable by any vehicle. EVs especially. But all electric RVs are/should be a thing. Motors also work as brakes
imagine you just chilling inside there, you fall asleep, but then suddenly you feel the entire thing moving, then you realise someone robbed your camping bike and unintentionally literally just kidnaped you with them
hahahaha
Good thing we got the AR than isnt it!😂😂😂
😅
Your videos are always so fun to watch.👍🏽😀
I really like your vids bro. America is the best place to start RUclips
It never runs of new ideas.
I’m a HUGE fan of bike campers, thanks to that I also found this channel! So glad to see another AMAZING bike camper build... keep it up Chay (and family!) 💙
10 mm Corrugated plastic would have been a better option for the entire cab. Strong enough for even the floor. Only issue with corrugated for the floor would be, it can be slippery when wet or dusty but that 44lb weight for the base would have been substantially lighter Nice job on the trailer and video either way.. Cheers.
You could do much more with this idea because a bike without assist can tow up to 300 pounds without much trouble. So, I think you should do another one, that's wider, with a pop out for the bed, a kitchen, a fridge, and a small composting toilet. The one I want to build is about 8 feet long, has a pop out for the bed, enough room for a small seating area and a kitchen, so it's definitely doable, especially if your ebike can tow in excess of 500 pounds.
Hey! If you make your own like that, I'd love to see it! You should maybe make a nice little RUclips video on it.
@@SteveUnperceivedNot sure yet: Maybe a rail system or a hinge with legs to save weight. But the problem, as always is trying to not exceed the 150-200 pounds, so perhaps doing everything in foam painted with truck bed liner would work.
@@SteveUnperceived Will do, let me know if you want to collaborate on some design ideas too. I want to approach everything like it's a spaceship with very strict requirements.
Thanks for delivering the bike camper looks awesome great job guys.
This is the first video I saw that used motors to move a camper. Awesome idea. I'm going to incorporate that in my camper. Thaks for the idea!
You guys always think and design on a whole different level. Nice build!!
Super entertaining to watch you make these projects and watch an idea come to life. Underrated youtuber.
FANTASTIC!!! Such an amazing creation! CONGRATS 🎉! Thanks so much for taking all of us on your latest journey!!
Those 200w solar panels could fit on the roof. They come up to about that size anyway. Figured since you're camped out, it could just let it sit and soak up the sun while giving you some extra range?
Side note, I love your videos! I hope you get monetized enough to keep doing awesome stuff and sharing it with us! We love your videos. Always looking forward to your next project.
You need to look into adding a dovetail to the back of your campers, it will reduce the amount of friction drag that will make these things easier to pull. Just a little lip on the back instead of a shear will do the trick.
Как понять кромка вместо среза?
Your videos are very fun to watch and they’re really cool, but I think it would be really awesome if you do kinda like a Vlog or like you have to survive two days in the camper. It be really fun to watch you put the camper to the test
HE MADE ANOTHER!!!!
Made another without crediting @DrewBuildsStuff
time for a trip into the mountains. put some solar on the roof, add a mount on the front of the trailer to mount a monster battery, add a small rack inside for some groceries and camping gear and go set up a lovely camp
I just built one...made it through an entire Canadian winter. I havent put motors on the camper yet, but plan to eventually. It does have solar, LiFePo battery bank, 12v oven and fridge, 12v heater, a desk...it is based off one of those bike trailers people put kids in, a steel tube bed frame, 1x2 lumber skeleton, and a foam laminate skin. Uses 20" sealed bearing bicycle wheels. I am still putting some interior trim pieces on it, but it is otherwise done. I havent tried it yet though. I did build a dual hub motor ebike based on a Trek MTB frame to pull it that has around 3000W of total power should I need it. I figured I would deck the bike out with motors first so when not pulling the camper I still have all that power and torque.
You have an oven, fridge, heater, and desk in a bike camper?
That camper is absolutely awesome! Thanks for sharing 😊
That's an excellent project, I've been toying with what you've already accomplished, awesome build
Awesome !! Luv it. Especially good for ppl who may not have a DL and Possibly homeless.but just starting off on a New Job with not much money.
A Great project
I love you guys I learn so just watching you. I'm going too build a sleeping box in the back of my truck you all has helped me so much. Much love to yall.
You guys knocked it out of the park with that build!!! That is coolest thing I’ve ever seen. I want one so bad now lol
Love that your dad helps often. You guys are entertainiing.
yea you should add like little upgrades like solar panels and a game system or something with the tv, also you should make a series of you going around the US and staying in cool resorts
this combination with the e bike and camper is so sick🔥Your'e always killing it with any type of builds😤
Very impressive and exactly what we need in our society rn. Creating is our natural essence as humans. Bravo 🙌
Great build. I wanna make one with solar panels and the ability to charge the trailer and the bike. I've been coming up with supper light generators using weed eater motors. It would be sick to get this thing to shtf off grid standards. Thanks for some truly innovative ideas...
Awesome job mate, would love to see a small kitchen add on and a slide out storage underneath it, love it. :)
Your videos are so entertaining and informative. I always walk away with excitement!
Absolutely love the creativity. Always top notch builds Chay!
Dude I’m super impressed, when I first saw the Thumb Nail I was saying oh he just repurposed the last camper but you proved wrong. Awesome job. Keep it up.
@DrewBuildStuff is even better
You could make that creation in production and the campers community will definitely be happy to buy!
This was awesome! You folks could sell plans for this, y'know? Definitely like the idea of solar panels and you could add a strap/buckle netting under the bedding so you could attach it to the ceiling while travelling to utilize the full footprint for longer camping trip items. Just a thought since you don't have the wall height for a horizontal Murphy bed situation.
You made a (single person) car camper and now you’re doing it for a bike! That’s so cool and I appreciate the time and effort you guys put into these videos! I can’t believe you can make these videos so quick❤
I am so glad I found your channel brother!!! Cool videos, I hope you one day post your blueprints of these builds and the full list of items purchased. I want to do this one day and travel across the US man! Good motivation you just hit me with man haha
Smartest invention ive seen in months.❤
Love it, but you mounted the camper backwards on the bike. If you turn it around it would be more aerodynamic. If you go fast, you will be fighting against the wind.😅
As a life long cyclist with many tours and trips under my belt, I can say this is a fun looking project. But big to carry and cramped. My best fit for a few friends or with my wife was with a mountaineering style tent and some off the shelf, lightweight backpackers gear. It's lighter, more versatile, less support prone, trouble free, parking easy, and E bikes don't need to pull an e trailer. You just put on panniers and bags. There are cargo trailers if needed. Again, a cool project, I don't see it getting out much or for very far.
This is awesome!
Makes my day when u upload!!
Great video. It gave me some idea what I want to build for an atv camper and how to build it. Thanks 🙏
So awesome. Keep up the great work Chay! I love watching your videos
Really impressive build and the end result really awesome. Looking forward for the next project. Keep up the good work. Greetings from a fellow ebiker in Finland
Its great! Like others have said, solar panels on top would be awesome, ans i would definitely add a little fan and roof vent for air circulation. Dual entry may also be nice..
Dude this e-camper is Awsome. I might as well make one for my self. All credit goes to you buddy. Keep up the good work.
Awesome! Great video! Thank you so much for sharing 👍👍👍👍
I’ve been watching your channel all day. I really love your building projects. I wish I was good with carpentry.
YES FINALLY This is so satisfying to see called it last time Awesome
Great job guys! Always look forward to your video!!!
I love how frequently you've been uploading. I absolutely love these videos! Keep the grind going!
well done. Interesting choice on the aluminum and wood combo. Great idea for "underbox" dual side wheel support. Would be worth having regen braking from the trailer. Unclear if you put batteries in trailer, but that + solar is enough to make a utility blackout party shack. You could make cutouts on back, front, rear walls to either add more windows or fill with foam for more weight reduction.
Your hitch needs its own video/episode. You should link to the controllers you used as well. Unclear where you put them.
Great work on showing what 2000w of power brings to a trailer. You never mentioned total weight though.
Great job and fun watch! Keep up the good work.
dude this is so dope, love the concept and the execution! it looks amazing
Your channel brightens my day. Thank you!
you should add something that locks the bike to the camper for when youre staying somewhere overnight to deture thieves
I watch a lot of bike camper videos and I think this is one of the best ones yet. Because of my safety and security background I like bike campers that’s heavy on personal safety and there’s this one bike camper I saw made in Germany, I think where it was made of steel and almost impenetrable though yes it was heavy.
Were did you put the battery for the trailer? How big was it? And how much does the trailer weigh now that is all done. Love the video great job!
Love the idea....now how about a tiny battery bank and a flex solar unit to charge the bike back up and have for the TV and phone charger..plus extend the range or enough for a small hot plate.
It's so cool... But I have to spoil it for you... in some states it would be considered a separate electric vehicle... and they could take it away from you... not to mention that it's medium to long trips like 500 km by motorcycle, where is there a solar battery, where is the stove, where is the fridge 😅 more like a 20 km trip around the city to a restaurant
You are really doings great it's not easy to build ,but you are doing with passion 🎉
Hats off to you
I love it!!😁 It is so cozy and comfortable to sleep in it☺️😉
This is cool. Here’s some other ideas that I think could be neat (but I have no idea how it works).
If you could add like a foot to the back of it (the smallest part) you could make a little garage area to carry a camp stove, or to hide your tires so no one can steal your bike. Or have a way to lock your bike to it at night.
I also think you could put a little latch for a battery powered reading lamp by your head, and I think your paint job is cute but at first I thought it was gonna be like those 90s turquoise and purple cups
If you do not want to weld, you can use aluminium struts with connectors and epoxy as glue.
I would love a vlog of you going camping with all of any of the campers you’ve build!
love how you always find new ways to present information!
I’m not sure how it’d work, but Imagine having a sunroof in that camper. I like the videos they’re great!
I really like your vids bro. America is the best place to start RUclips
It never runs of new ideas. It’s so adventurous
What are you on about? It’s the creator coming up with the ideas you could start a youtube channel almost anywhere and be successful if you’re lucky and put the hours in.
@@VipyxI Okay could you create a RUclips video on the sun? Because you said anywhere?
@@Bgdnbhjggyu look, the point is it’s bs that America is the best place to start a youtube channel many great youtubers like pewdiepie didn’t start in the USA.
You should stream on Twitch and take a trip from City to city in the United States --show us what's possible with this kind of setup.
Love the videos chay, first time ive watched your videos right on time.
thank you!! Its good to have you here😁😁
Same with me lol
Yo
Now that you have this dialed in I would love to see a series of camping trips in some great locations!
I love your bike camper. Fantastic!
I’m looking for a camper to pull behind my Honda goldwing. Solar panels etc. Just found your channel. Great job.
I love these videos so much. There so entertaining❤
I really want of these campers now... this is so epic. Big ups on all the hard work
really good one, also look into gypsy waggon building, they know about keeping it light, small and functional.
You truly have improved on your builds. I hope one day you can make the bus camper 2.0.
You could use cattle panels or chicken wire to increase the durability and security of the foam, while not increasing the weight.
Brilliant guys, well done!
Having motors in the wheels is so genius. I really want to do this for myself, id absolutely go camping with my ebike.
This is the first time I'm seeing animation in 😂😂sketchup 3d
Dude!! This is pretty special. You did a wonderful job.
Great job dude getting to 1 million subscribers is a difficult challenge I believe once you get to 1 million you’re go from 1 million to 10 million a lot faster then 0 to 1 million it’s like a snowball the more the snowball grows the more snow it will pick up and it will grow faster.
this was a great watch, keep up the good work👍
i need a full detail tutorial on this, this is awesome
The paint job is cool, slighty better than the usual electric blue!
I think you are sleeping at the wrong end. You have less headroom then if you layed down at the bigger end. And a overhanging tv setup too would have made more sense.
I was thinking the same thing, though I bet that he did it like that to make it easier to film.
So sharp👍🏽 i’m going to make one of the spring also-bike life
Awesome job. Do you sell the plans?? Not that I could ever build it myself, but, someone could. Love it. Thanks for sharing!
This was such a cool build! I would for sure be doing lots of traveling if I had one 😅
you are very creative I really like this bike camper. Everyone can learn from you and have their own camping car. Best regards
About a decade ago I built myself a tiny one person caravan. The first few times I used it I woke up with a bad headache. I determined that there was not enough airflow and a buildup of CO2. A small 12V fan from an old computer power supply solved that problem. It also got rid of the condensation on the inside of the roof.
I like the tradition of painting things blue. Yet, the white is so much better maybe keep the non blue going!!!
Man that thing is off the chain!!! It is Awesome, Great job.!
hats off, motorized trailer is a great idea
Have you thought about looking into a hiking camping trailer to be pulled by a person? I'm looking at possibilities fpr a bit of long distance hiking in the UK but no idea where to start! Your content gives me hope!
