Glad to hear the people of Jerome are embracing Cocodona 250 runners. Last year was kinda weird with the strict rules; no pictures, no noise, no stopping in any of the shops... that new route looks great too.
As I left Jerome with my pacer, an old man working in his yard yelled out to us “I don’t see the whole town falling apart from you guys passing through “. Was perfect There really was this sense that we were invading their space but this one guy let us know that was BS He didn’t mind at all. Thanks Jam Jam for all you do 👍.

That is a mountain lion paw print. Bear prints will have claw marks with them and are more triangle shaped. While cat prints are more oval and will not have claw marks, because they retract them.

Another good one Jam-Jam. I really like these scouting/training run videos. Gives both racers, and those that will never step foot on the course, a real feel of the experience.

It should be more exciting than last year, great video content. Have been to Jerome years ago before the trails hit me, very cool area, want to return.

After spending years running west texas and the palo duro canyon, these videos get me so pumped up about running Arizona. Would love to be able to train for and run this race sometime in the future!

Awesome run guys. That race is on the to do list sometime. Love the tracking stop. I know many may suggest this is a cougar track do to lack of claws and the 5th toe less visible. However, it appears to be the front foot of a small black bear based on the shape of the pad, position of the toes In relation, and a quick spin of the camera showed other prints with the claws and 5 toes. Courious what he/she was checking out on the side of the trail.

That’s a mountain lion print. Mountain lion claws are retracted most of the time and that’s why you can’t see the nails in the print. You can also tell by the wide paw and it looks to be less than 4in across. That’s an adult mountain lion.

Fkn epic jam jam. I’m going to be in AZ may 2-6 while the cocodona is going on. Just vacationing and relaxing with my wife. I’d love to pace for 10 miles if anyone needs! So jealous of everyone participating. I’ll be glued to the livestream again for sure

“Bobcats are lame.” Haha! I once saw one along the Rio Grande in South Fork, CO. that changed my mind about that…it had been eating well…it was huge!😳

Bear print. Loins walk in their own prints. And it had claw marks.

Can anyone explain to me runners wearing collared, button-up shirts? Seems so uncomfortable, but I've seen it quite a bit. Genuine inquiry.

Sun protection is a big part. You can also unbutton it. This one is made by rabbit out of a tech material I believe and has air holes In the back.

Bears have 5 toes. Cougars have 4 toes. This print has 5 toe marks.. likely a black bear 🐻 😳 which do live in AZ
