Subaru BRZ & Toyota 86 Stereo System Upgrade and Subwoofer Installation

I recently set out to improve the factory stereo system in our 2019 BRZ. My goal was to find the weakest link in the system and address it. The low frequency sound from the OEM system is lacking so the solution was a replacement amp for the door woofers and adding a sub. This video outlines the steps I took. Great information. I took advantage of the full sound coming from the new rca outs that you showed me how to make. I put kicker 6 1/2 in the doors and a kicker amplified sub in the trunk. SOUNDS AMAZING! THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Hi there! I have a 2020 BRZ, same head unit, but there is no dedicated amp in the back. Any idea where else it might be located??? My plan was to use the rear tweeter signal for the subwoofer but it's high passed. But I don't know where.

it seems no one is running thicker guage wiring from the speakers to the amplifier. If you replace the factory speakers, am i right to assume that the factory guage wiring will not be sufficient?

Are you aware of the factory crossover locations? Is there a equalization curve that needs to be tuned out of this radio?
