Hiii! So finally, here's the Poodle Hair! Please excuse the appearance and sound of this video, we had no power (I'm at my sister-in-law's editing it!😂) and I couldn't use mah monitor or lights or anything, so it's overexposed like the dickens, hahaha. Also my mic had serious feedback for some reason so I had to use the camera audio. What a mess! aNyyWaYYYSS I hope you guys like it regardless and I love you all!!

Technical issues aside, your video was wonderful. I love your hair tutorials, it shows the real side of hair -sorta-do's that other channels don't do. They always try to make it seem like it's super easy, and you feel stupid if you fail. Your videos are always so bubbly and realistic, they help me stay positive when I'm battling my humidity created hair beasts.

Do what makes you happy and people will adjust!! My parents and peers teased me (out of love lol) in the beginning but realized it makes me happy and now it's just the new normal for me! ❤️❤️
I started with hair, up or down in a slightly vintage vibe and "always" added a flower, "everyday". The flower can be added to the weird side of your hair that is being difficult and you're good to go. Once you find a couple hair styles you can whip up, the clothes will follow. Some people may think we're touched but I seriously get wonderful complements daily, yes daily, from young and old on how classy my look is. Give it a try on your days off from work until you find your personal go to hair styles. Xoxo
I took the plunge and wore a vintage dress that I've had in my closet for an eternity to work. The compliments keep flowing, haha. Thanks! Next would be the hair but I can see that will take some practice...and patience.

My hair is so long and straight and refuses to hold a curl, fairly certain that it would be an epic fail with poodle hair but I still enjoyed watching and learning. I also believe in the advice of when in doubt, wave things around and make faces. Pure gold. :D

Kim Anderson my hair is the same. I have double side shaves and I still have a lot of hair (to the point where it still gives me head aches).
When I curl I use Kendra hair spray and/or big sexy hair heat protectant . I use a curling iron set to about 300+ degrees (hot curlers would work I think). Otherwise doing my hair in 4 French braids and sleeping on them works (start damp with mouse and spray on hair).
Mary Hines thanks for the tips! I think a combo of braiding wet hair, leaving it until the next day and then using a curling iron might give my hair the best chance at being curly for more than 10 minutes. hahaha
Kim Anderson Wet to dry is really the way to go with long and thick hair. And if you can not get setting mousse or cream, hair gel will do. And tini tiny sections, very tiny or else it will take at least 48 hours to dry. You can speed up the process with a hairdryer set on cold and a dryer bonnet or plastic bag.

Oh no, dis face would never lie. ;) I've been doing something like this with my hair since high school, only my version has been either pile all my hair on my head in a pony tale or pull the front back in a clip and then pin the dickens out of it until it looks descent. More of a messy modern sorta style, but I can't wait to try this version with the little combs and pin curls to vintage it up.

LOL the face that would not lie to me. ;) I loove doing a poodle; it's the best for like 2nd day or 3rd day hair after it's been set and it's kind of a mess anyway. My poodle hair is always a bit more chaotic and I let natural curls be crazy, but I like this refined version too! You just always pretty.

I enjoyed watching it as usually) so sorry about the power thing but I feel like of all people you'd appreciate it the most - it's very vintagy to experience such an issue. I've had power problems in my childhood and it was the most fun days - the whole family was together in one room so we have enough candles, playing chess, building houses from patches xD although, it's so uncomfortable for winter time. Hope you'll feel like a Jane austen character and not like "the long dark" one :D
