My name is Lucy, I'm a 23-year-old girl from the Netherlands, and I'm here to offer an alternative approach to beauty.
On this channel I do mostly hair tutorials where I show you how to braid, pin and style your own hair. I recreate hairstyles from movies & tv shows and I regularly come up with my own, which I love to share with you!
I do lifestyle and beauty videos as well, ranging from wearable everyday looks, makeup tips and DIY natural beauty treatments, to fashion lookbooks, vegetarian recipes and more extreme Halloween tutorials.
If you enjoy history, you've come to the right place as well. I have a few series based on historical makeup and hairstyling that are my little passion projects.
Enjoy browsing!
Love,
Lucy

Oh my gosh honey. You nailed it!!! Even with dark hair I totally recognized you as Lucy. Great job!! I grew up watching “I Love Lucy” and this was wonderful.
I remember being really little and being convinced my gma was secretly Lucille Ball because she did her eyebrows EXACTLY like her. Kid logic is flawless.
you look like Edith Piaf too ! (french singer of 50's) ;)
Frédérique It would be amazing to do tutorial on Edith
Edith was very famous in France in 30s and 40s
Yay, I love your Beauty Beacons series. A little tip though for when you are hiding your eyebrows, use an orange toned color corrector or eye shadow instead of just concealer and powder. It will help to cancel out the dark color without making it look like you have white arches on your forehead.
WOW! Leopsie I truly had to do a double-take on the thumbnail! GREAT JOB!
Vi Vi haha I thought the same thing!
Same
You and her almost look like twins separated at birth! You and Lucy have the same shaped eyes and nose and mouth!!!
She does she also did the best tutorial 😘
Great tutorial, but Lucy had blue eyes😊
You also look like Evie in the 1999 film The Mummy.
Shelby Hoag that was 1999?? Omg, I feel like I just watched it .. woah.. such a good movie 🍿
I love Lucy, too --- its pretty crazy how long that show has been on tv, I think it aired for the first time in 1956!! It's 2016 and I know that I for one would be sad if they stopped airing it.
+livia1881 Wait, they still air it? I had no idea 😱 That must be why I got so many requests for her, haha!
***** Oh yeah they still air it, almost daily in the USA... I think....it seems like it is always on TV. I still watch it if I come across it on TV :) Viva Lucy!!!
livia1881 i love lucy debuted in 1951
I Love Lucy debuted in 1951.
please try to do Marilyn Monroe!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you please do a Farrah Fawcett tutorial? And a Stevie Nicks one?
she already did the stevie nicks one:)
Oh Lucille Ball is my all time favorite! I love Lucy is my all time favorite show. This is why I decided to make 2 areas of my home replicas (or as close as possible) of areas of her apartment of the I love Lucy set
You have one of those faces that transforms with every look you do. Super cool!
Lucy! you are a genius of hair and make up transformation!
so talented!!
That is uncanny! You don't look at all like her before, but after you are finished it's like she resurrected with brunette hair!
So authentic!
AMAZING. Thankyou for your beautiful work! I would love to see you do a Judy Garland tutorial. Judy was so beautiful in her day but doesn't get the credit of being a stunner, like some of the more bombshell starlets do. I never understood why. She is very naturally gorgeous when she is young, before the industry ruined her. Her hair styles in Meet Me In St Louis and of course Wizard Of Oz are iconic. And her makeup, not dissimilar to this tutorial here.
Excellent Job. Very accurate makeup and hair Style.
i love the whole beauty beacons series, but i hafta say--you really captured the lucille ball look perfectly! amazing!
This is SPOT ON 👍🏼👍🏼
Have you ever done Katharine Hepburn? If not, I would adore to see that! :)
Jessica Murrell That was my suggestion too! It'd be amazing.
Def!!!!
Amazing! I just discovered your channel and I love it. I’ve loved Lucille ball literally my entire life (I was born on her birthday and my mom was watching an I love Lucy marathon while in labor, lol). These tutorials are amazing!
You did an amazing job! WOW!
for fictional beauty beacons could you do Rose from Titanic. also Julie London, she was a popular jazz singer and actress. love the hair in this video, I have to try it
Aubrey Lynn rose from titanic 100%
Woahhhh the makeup actually REALLY made you look like her! I'm shook! Good job xx
You look just like Lucille Ball!!!! I’m such a Lucy fan. I watch her every night.
Finally a original channel to subscribe. Thanks !
This is absolutely amazing ! i don't know how you're so good at this
Simply research.
Love it. lucille ball is my all-time favorite female comedian.
You seriously look like a brunette Lucille! It's amazing! Fantastic job!!! 😻😻😻
That was an amazing transformation!!! I'm a LB fan. You did spectacular work.
You did amazingly well with the transformation. I don't get comments like the one below here - at all!
+Marleen G. Thank you! Oh I don't mind, I REALLY don't like this look on myself either so I can only agree, haha!
Loepsie you should have dyed your hair red, you look so much like her
Loepsie what about Jane of Arc?
You look like a young Lucille, and remind me or Myrna Loy at times in the video too. Especially with those brows! Amazing
Good heaven's! You really do look like a brunette Lucy! Wow, I'm impressed. I'm still sort of new to your great channel. Thank you for taking the time in doing all of this and sharing! Blessings, from California. ... Merry Christmas.
I coupd never look at these people and know hpw to do their hair and makeup. You have a keen eye and talent for this. You could do this for a living.
Wow, you look so much like her...love the eyebrow trick!
you really look exactly like her!!!
I would love to see you do Alexandra of Denmark, Edie Sedgwick, Emma, Lady Hamilton or Madame Récamier! :)
Looked at some of the other thumb nails before I got to this one and stopped on yours as you looked spot on like Lucy. Great job and tutorial, going to be her for Halloween but knew I needed some inspo especially with the hair. Thank you so much ❤
OMG!!!!!!! Very good job!!!!!!
You really looks like her.!!!!!
👏👏👏👏
wow...lucille ball wore a faux-hawk...Love this series so much! xoxo
Absolute perfection I adore Lucille Ball
And I love the brows
It's amazing how you can transform yourself.
I am WOWED by your detailed, accurate re-creation (and your mutual resemblance)!
She was also the first woman to introduce syndication (reruns!)! Thanks to Lucy, we can keep enjoying her shenanigans with Ethel!
This look suits you sooo well!
Your transformations are remarkable!!
You knocked it out of the park !
It's really amazing how you are able to recreate all of these classic hairstyles so well, and they look incredible; but, I'll tell you the truth-- you look most adorable and gorgeous with your regular hairstyle and bangs. You're so cute! And glasses make you look even cuter!
However, I have to add that you look amazingly like Lucille Ball herself, the likeness is striking. Extremely well done!... and impressive.
Best Lucy tutorial out there! Thank you!
Can you please do Shirley Temple.
Omg... this is amazing. She is on of my favorites so this was a treat to watch.
That is so awesome!...love that look on you.
Really enjoyed this transformation :D you looked pretty much like her pics. Would you consider doing xmas holiday retro inspired hair styles :)? i would like to see your spin on them :D
I really love your videos... I hope you'll do also the tutorial of Claire Fraser from Outlander
Amazing job Lucy!!
Amazing what you did with your brows. I remember when I was growing up, all the girls and women had to go through all that, every single day heavy makeup, bulky hair rollers, pin curls ... When it was my turn it seemed like torture, a week trying to sleep in plastic rollers ... no way, forget about it. Thank goodness Hippies, long hair, pantyhose, and natural looks came along about the same time. lol
This is by far one of your best! ❤️ You should do Edie Sedgwick for sure, she had such a distinct look that I'd love to see you recreate! Adore your channel :)
Omg you look so much like her! Awesome!
Can you do a hairstyle from Penny Dreadful?
You nailed her. Good job.
Great tutorial! Natalie Woods look from the Rebel Without a Cause would be awesome!
Both You and Lucille Ball have Alot of the same features
Oh doll. . you look😍 fabulous and the remake of Lucy is very on point!
You NAILED this look! This is fantastic! Great work!
Amazing and beautiful as always!
i love beauty beacons!!!
Omg you look fabulous, even without red hair I'd know exactly who your look was inspired by! =D
simply AMAZING!
So beautiful!
I can't stop watching these videos! You are amazing. (I was afraid at first you were going to shave off your eyebrows when you said you were going to "get rid of them" -- I thought, wow, that's dedication to your art! (So glad you found a different way of hiding them!)
Great tutorial, I'd love to see more vintage looks :) Please do Agent Carter for beauty beacons of fiction she has that classic 40s look :D
Wow what a transformation....I'm addicted to you're videos 😂you make it look so effortless!!!
Natalie's Wood look from 50s or 60s would be great. I also would like to see Romy Schneider 💕 Great video as always
Wonderful job on a fairly complex hairstyle! I just “found” you on You Tube and I have enjoyed your historical beauty videos. Great idea and so well done!
As a fictional beauty beacon; Claire Fraser from the book series and tv show Outlander, I think you would love it, and I would love to see you recreate her look!
You are a true beauty guru! I love history and beauty, what a perfect channel that focuses on roots of revolutionary beauty aside to such fun great videos. Thanks!
Your skills are amazing!
Love it girl its the best style you try..
That style looks very good on you.
Just so y’all know, bobby pins are used rigid side down, flat side up. That’s how you get the grip near your scalp.
Such and amazing job!!!! Seriously love this series. Xx
Beautiful homage
you are a great makeup artist keep up the good work
Can you do a Mineko Iwasaki look? She used to be a geiko/ geisha and was the most famous in Japan for it. It'd be great to see your interpretation of her look or of a geisha look in general. Love you! ❤️
Nami Nuitsuki she might get hate for that
Diana Bundoc for what? I see nothing wrong with it. Is it because it is Asian? If so, she doesn't have to look Asian. Anyone can do a geisha look. Besides, it's only for a video she's not about to go out in it.
Nami Nuitsuki people might accuse her of "racism" just because of that. Well, here in America, at least. (Where do you live?)
Diana Bundoc I live in Japan. I see that kind of stuff sometimes here, too. But, if she's not hating on the culture, how could anyone call it racist? I guess some people just don't like it when one person adopts another look or even wears it. That's odd.
Nami Nuitsuki
here in America, if, let's say, a non-Japanese wears a kimono or tries to do geisha makeup, it's "racist". No, I don't think that way. Also, another example is not being able to listen to hip hop music without others thinking you're "trying too hard to be black" or "insulting black culture". I've seen it all
Wow, you did an amazing job! I went to Lucy's house in LA when she died. We didn't go in, but we sat out front for a while. ❤️
You have amazing skills!
My suggestions:
1. Kathleen Quinlan
2. Kay Lenz
3. Cheryl Ladd
4. Molly Ringwald
5. Ali MacGraw
6. Molly Bee
7. Deborah Walley
8. Sandra Dee
9. Cindy Carol
10. Sally Field as Gidget
11. Cybill Shepherd
Wow you really do look like her amazing.Good job
Amazing job, as always!
Woow, I'm impressed, you made the transformation so easy and fast, I Will follow your routine for my costume, thanks for the time you guve us, goodbye
