Then you must see your comments as a blessing to others because there is plenty of hot air to go around, judging from your comments. I've read through a number of your comments, and they all have the same theme. You are terrified of God's existence! You have a classic _cosmic authority problem,_ which you project onto anyone who expresses faith in something you are trying really hard to convince yourself doesn't exist. I find that fascinating. The irony of wasting your time arguing about something that should be akin to _iridescent flying unicorns._ Why bother?
In my case, I have a similar incredulity towards people who are convinced that the Earth is flat or that the moon landing was a hoax. Yet, I don't waste my time posting comments on forums discussing this. What would be the point? What would I change? Why would I even bother, if I had better things to do with my time? Have you ever asked yourself those questions, my little Martian friend? I think it *does* get to you because deep down you think you are on the wrong side of the fence, and you want to tear down that fence, so you don't feel confronted by that fact.

It should be clear to someone with that namesake to understand why it is important to challenge the hivemind !! The whole premise of the show is that resistance is not futile...so neither are these words.
More hilarious in that comment is the funhouse mirroring regarding projection ! People who spend too much time in churches are always telling others what their thoughts and fears are. Preachers shoving ideas into unthinking minds is worse than fois gras farmers with their ducks. Yet, people go into these places and come out with more venom than love that is supposed to be the hallmark of the "son of god" whose name they call themselves by.
Unfortunately there is a groundswell of nationalism by the Borg. Saying the world is flat is one thing. Having millions, if not billions to change laws to become a theocracy like Saudi Arabia is another.

Love Dr. Tour and his expertise and courage! Wisdom, understanding and the courage to tell the truth. That comes from God. Love his turkey analogy to expose the delusions of naturalistic evolutionists. If we are honest, the origin of life is still an unsolved mystery. Read some Philip e. Johnson. The God of random accident is like a hurricane blowing through a junk yard, assembling a jumbo jet. The "magic" of random, chaotic mutations, combined with unending time conspiring to make "creation" is wishful thinking. Scientism, pseudo science is fraudulent wishful thinking and blind faith. Atheism is dead. Life is purposed, has meaning and is complex beyond our comprehension. Jesus IS THE TRUTH, the creatOR of creaTION. God hides in plain sight. Thanks Dr. Tour. In the context of the abiogenesis research and, beyond, the reality of an imortal, non physical consciousness, I recommend you also the work of Prof.Dr. rer. Oliver Lazar from Germany. After an intense and life changing experience around the death of a young girl in his entourage, he started to question all the "ideological" beliefs of reductive materialism that he was indoctrinated during his career, and that represented the framwork of his worldview. He since then is conducting scientific research to prove that the soul continues living in an afterlife, and that a contact with it is not only possible but always represents a huge comforting moment for the surviving dependants in their griefing.

Millions of years of evolution means millions of years of death before man's sin, therefore death would not be the wages of sin and therefore Jesus' death on the cross would not pay for our sins and we would still be in our fallen state. The Gospel is directly tied to Genesis.

This is all so true! I ran across an Time article written in 1966 - the things that scientists predicted for the year 2000 (these were think tanks that received millions and millions of $$s). The forecasts were amazingly and humorously false, yet they were very serious about them. Here are a few: the wheel and highways would be obsolete because we all would be using hovercrafts to get around; planes would be going just under the speed of sound and seat 1,000 people and we would also be transporting ourselves by ballistic rockets; we would have flown past Venus and also landed on Mars (human flight), huge fields of kelp would be harvested by undersea "farmers" - frogmen that live in submerged bunkhouses for 5 months at a time; the climate would be controlled - for example: a nuclear generating station that produces 60,000 megawatts built on top of Mt. Wilson would produce enough heat which in turn could be guided to the upper atmosphere above L.A. raising the inversion layer to 19,000 feet thus ridding the city of smog and the sea breeze could then be drawn into the space beneath to transform the dessert into a flowering land; bacterial and viruses would be totally wiped out; the cause of cancer would be found and cured; drug control of people's personalities would be widespread and desirable (anti-grouch pills anyone?); robots would do all of the household cooking and cleaning; 10% of the population will do all the work, the rest will be idle and just have fun; politics will fade away; original sin will be gone. How are we doing?

Now THIS is how conversations are suppose to be had; no interrupting and talking over, no irrelevant personal insults and attacks, no subject dodging avoidance of the actual topic, respect, and each person asking and listening. Granted, these guys are all on the same page of seeing the facts as they are, but opposing views can be discussed in the exact same way so long as none of the participants are mentally an arrogant child (no names Dave...). Its so frustrating to try and offer TRUTH with the chemistry to the blind believers of life arising from nothing on its own, they dont listen, spout what theyve been told with zero understanding of it, then dodge your questions and personally attack you once you show how their ideas arent correct.
My latest attempt on an OoL vid, i was told and i quote "you arent impressing anyone throwing around your 'chemical engineer' title being in R&D...youre not even a biochemist so what would you know about life origins..." UUMMMM...do they understand what an engineer is??? Biochem is a small subset of organic chemistry, which is a subset of chemistry...therefore a chem engr studies ALL chemistry because engineers design things from scratch. Plus, i happen to have a minor in biochem and polymers because i wanted to go into pharmaceutical R&D...but im "not qualified" to talk about chemistry yet the person with ZERO study of chemistry does???
This is the kind of stubborn ignorance i meet every single time this subject is presented, its highly frustrating.
To the chem engr question of complexity, its NOT the same as god of the gaps. Its the chicken and the egg but with hundreds of components instead of two...if you cant generate a dual item co-dependant system where each must have the other to exist, how could you ever get hundreds that all need each other to function as a system where each piece is randomly generated one at a time through small changes? Its simply not possible. Also, chemistry adds a whole extra set of odds to the normal odds dealing with randomness due to how it works...some reactions simply dont occur "naturally", and many of the ones needed for origins naturally fall into this category.
You burn hydrocarbons as fuel, yet youd never get water and CO2 mixtures to naturally react into long chain hydrocarbons and O2. Dead organisms decompose, it NEVER naturally runs in reverse where simple compounds generate complex macromolecules into cells that spring to life spontaneously, it just doesnt work this way. If you randomly selected letters, youll get small words and maybe simple sentences of a few words, but this process would NEVER write the full 26 book encyclopedia volume....but adding the chemistry aspect youd have to not only write these books with randomly picking one letter at a time, but each book would have to quote and make references to all the other books. Whoever thinks this is possible, write the code and start it on a supercomputer and let us know how far it gets.

Well, the point is to see if life chemistry can be brought about in an environment without the kind of biological mechanisms that indeed constitute its operating machinery today. If the same machinery can be established by chemistry alone, then you show a plausible abiogenic pathway and establish the principle that biological mechanisms can come about from non-biology.

It’s more that In our culture, fools are often thought of as silly or ridiculous, and foolishness is described as an unawareness leading to trouble, annoyance, or offense. However, the biblical usage of the term fool is not primarily about someone who is silly or naïve. Psalm 14:1 says, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” Proverbs 1:7 reveals, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Fools willingly reject the Lord and hold God’s wisdom in contempt. They choose not to fear the Lord (Proverbs 1:29). They ignore the advice and rebuke of the Lord, refuse to walk in His wisdom, and do not follow His ways (Proverbs 1:30). Instead, fools rely on themselves. In trusting himself (Proverbs 28:26), the fool does not recognize that his own heart is desperately wicked (Jeremiah 17:9).

Not a single creationist on Earth has "dug deeper" into the theory of evolution. That's why they have to spread misinformation and repeatedly lie. They are against knowledge. You throw away reality in favor of magical thinking.

Please define or qualify the term "evolution" when you make statements like this.
Evolution - in the sense of adaptation and natural selection - certainly has been observed and proven. But evolution - in the sense of non-life evolving into life; or one species evolving into another, etc. - has not.

    • @kartashuvit4971
      @kartashuvit4971 Год назад

@@PB4U "Non-life evolving into life" is abiogenesis, not evolution. So let's throw that out immediately.
Adaptation and natural selection are just buzzwords lol.
Evolution is defined as the change in the allele frequency of a population over successive generations. In other words when 2 individuals of a species reproduce their offspring will inherit their genes with mutations that may or may not alter how the genes get expressed.
Both micro AND macro evolution are governed by those mechanisms.
Creationists often object to evolution not because of any of its mechanisms, but because species don't "look" different enough from one another. That's why they typically say "but it's still a bacteria/lizard/bird".
Look up monophyly. Individuals cannot escape their common ancestry. A bacteria will ALWAYS be a bacteria a hundred years, a million years, a BILLION years in the future. A bacteria will always be classified as a bacteria.
For the exact same reason dogs will always be canids, will always be carnivores, will always be mammals, will always be chordates, will always be animals.
We HAVE observed speciation. What do YOU expect to see when you say "species evolve into another"?

Did Tour explain why he lied about what Lee Cronin said?
And why didn't he correct Craig when Craig spread misinformation about vesicles in order to affirm his inconsistent skepticism?
