Yea it worked . Idk if it saves gas or not but I could stand hearing the ac kick on when I was using heat . All gone now . Can still turn ac on and use it too. You are the man. Weird how this car has do many weird secret button combinations

The ac is on for a reason. It was designed that way. Ac pulls the humidity out, dries the air. You want the AC on when defrost. You will not get 4Mpg increase without AC. That’s hogwash. I know this as I went 5 years without AC on my covic. Finally fixed it when I passed it on to my daughter. There is NO change in gas mileage.

The Civic owner's manual said it does! And I turn mine off and I get over 53 mpg in the Civic coupe manual transmission 06 have you ever bought a new car it comes with a booklet
@@cognac8297 I went five years without the AC working. I had it fixed two years ago. Zero difference in gas mileage. If there is, it’s so little it’s not noticeable. I’ve owned several new cars my friends. And as a graduate of a major Engineering school, I also understand real world, imperical evidence over theoretical information from a book.

You only have to do it once. And to go back to original settings you just do the same thing again.

@@alexmarlett865 I think my fuel gauge is just reading off . I waited till I had 2 bars left and it only took a little over 9 gallons of gas to fill back up. And no matter how much gas I add the final bar under full never lights up

I’m a auto mechanic for 15 years I have work for HONDA it do auto turn on the AC it’s not just the fans running most newer cars when you put it on defrost they auto turn on the AC to help defrost faster heat alone do it to slow.
