You did this trip on a fixed gear bike, thats impressive. Your food stops were awesome, gotta feed the machine with those miles. Great footage and listing all the roads and trails..
Kal Haven trail looks sweet. You always gotta start the trip off with wet shoe I think the animal at 18:11 is called a guiena - kinda like a turkey. Dope riding and edit! 😎🚲
Thanks bro! Wet shoes happen every time on that trail and I’m still surprised lol I was thinking that animal was something like a turkey but had no idea. I think you’re right!
@@anklepast you can get from Chicago to Michigan City on bike paths 90 to 95% of the way. From North Hammond take the streets south to the Erie Lakawanna trail. Take that trail south-east to Griffith. Then catch the Oak savannah Trail east to Hobart. In Hobart you switch to the Prairie Duneland Trail. Take that to Chesterton. There you work your up to the Calumet trail. It's a few extra miles but you avoid those industrial areas across the northern rim of the state.
this was freaking cool and inspiring video.
Uof Toledo..home of the Rockets!
Glad you liked it! Didn’t know they were the Rockets but now they have a new fan
That is so cool!!!!
Thanks! It was such a fun trip

I appreciate it! My new mantra is “when in doubt, eat!”
Nice video, great ride! What camera did you shoot this with?
Thanks! I primarily used a GoPro Hero 9 Black. The pictures and a few clips were with my iPhone 13

You took the ugly route through Indiana.
Totally. Still trying to find a nice route through Indiana without adding too much travel time
