Things to consider for the intake and sound system: All great mods/tips but, the Intake, might not give the performance you think. Its an old car mod that doesnt work thag well on new cars. This is because the excess air that doesn't go past the radiator creates a "high pressure zone" exactly where the stock intake already sits so the pressurised air actually gets sucked into the intake... so the stock intake actually works very very well. But the sacrifice with this mod is in dirtying your filter faster(thus, decrease in performance if you dont clean/replace it much more often) and lowing your cars ability to cool from the radiator because its blocking the airflow to it a bit. These engines are known to run a little on the hotter side when driven spiritedly in hills/canyons(specially on a track) so the standard oil wears quickly. If you still want the intake, I recommend switching to a slightly higher temp oil for less wear and tear om your engine, and longer lasting oil. The sound system: The speakers arent bad or anything as most people think. Most people dont understand acoustics so they blame the speakers but aftermarket speakers arent any better, they usually are just louder. The issue is that light weight cars have little/no sound deadening or damping so the acoustics is the real issue that changes/muffles sound frequencies. There are several sounds bouncing around in the car already from engine, muffler and road/wind noise that block/change the way the speakers sound and several hard but thin surfaces that amplify other sounds due to reverberation before the sound waves reach the listener's ears. The equilizer helps to compensate this so its a good start but it only goes so far, its just making some frequencies overcome other frequencies. But the best way add better sounding "bass", for example, you need to add a little sound deadening rubber in just a few key areas to lower the ambient low frequencies so that the bass from your music stands out more. For example, a little on the sheet metal in the doors, a small bit on the roof center(careful, its aluminum and can get hot and make it unstick) a little on the center of the flatest parts of the floor and transmission tunnel. You onky need about 20ish lbs worth of it and you can go much further than that but those key areas will help bring the bass out more to the listener. Other areas such as the wheel wells is great too but it will only help when the car is a bit more up to speed only. Credentials: ive researched and physically tested several intakes for track use and studied acoustics.
Not really. Rain is way more played out than it needs to be. Ive drove through huge rain storms with ducts like this and nothing. People that have these issues are when the filter is literally in the water.
You still have the protective plastic foil covering your door sills. They're actually silver when you pull that tape off. I also found protective foil on the foot rest after like 10 months of ownership. I only noticed it after it started peeling up and collecting a bunch of grime. Maybe check if yours is still there.
😂 yooo that was so weird. So she got out of the car and just stood there. Then walk in circles then stand there. Low key creepy and weird. Hence why I ended the video very abruptly. 😂
Great video and product recommendations! Thanks for the support!
Genuinely the most useful guide on RUclips

bro... you're the man. Cant wait to use some of these on my incoming BRZ.
Just got a potential sponsor for the Supra today!!! 🤪
Try out our plug and play amplifier!
Isn't that duct dangerous in deep rain? I know BMWs used to total engines due to their intakes being very low.

Just hold down the tune button for a couple seconds and that will take you directly to audio settings
I got same color GR86 this month! It's so beautiful all time. But, It's not popular in Japan (Mostly White and Red). :(
I noticed that when I was there about a month ago. I never saw any colors other than white. White GR86 are super nice though. All the black accents.
@@ShayHarambe Agree. White is nice color and any other colors are all good! (cuz GR86 looks great) :)

Yeah I want to keep it as nice as possible as long as possible. I had to pull it off the pedals though cause it got annoying.
What was up with the woman in the explorer? She got out of the car too?
😂 yooo that was so weird. So she got out of the car and just stood there. Then walk in circles then stand there. Low key creepy and weird. Hence why I ended the video very abruptly. 😂
@@ShayHarambe yeah it was totally creepy and when you ended the video I thought maybe there was an altercation.
@@BradimusMaximus78 haha no none of that thankfully. She did drive by me real slow before she turned around right there and stopped. People are odd. 😅
@@ShayHarambe you’re getting so popular you have a stalker!
@@BradimusMaximus78 😂😂😂 i did sell my welds to a subscriber! 😯 That is pretty cool
Stunning colour! Is this Trueno Blue?
Yes it is! Love the color! Just need some silver wheels and a little low 🤌
@@ShayHarambe beautiful. Good luck with the build 🫡
@@timothywee5360 thank you 🙏
@@ShayHarambe on another note, it might be fun to do an aliexpress mods/upgrades vid for the gr86. A lot of interesting low cost bits there :)
@@timothywee5360 that is not a bad idea!
Did you do anything with the clutch? You were saying something but never actually said if you changed anything with it
I made a whole video over it 😂
You never said if you did anything to your clutch pedal.
I made a whole video over adjusting the clutch 😂
I wouldn't lower my car intake as this may cause issues with rain water getting into the engine.
Do you drive through puddles or something?
