@@vic321344 40 miles per day is not a lot, sure, but it is more than the average person drives per day. Even 20 miles per day will cut the average energy cost in half.
I don't agree with the statement that the EV market is going more competitive. EV's are not selling and some companies are substantially reducing their prices.
I agree EV’s have problems. The biggest one remains range anxiety, which for most people isn’t really a concern because the average person only travels around 40 miles per day. Range isn’t an issue. But public charging is a big problem and people who rent at apartments or condos that don’t have charging facilities have to use public. Everyone with a single family home can plug in at home with no problem. AND, the number one selling car in the world is still Tesla. And they have a charging network that leads the world. That being said, i can’t stand Elon Musk so no more Teslas for me. And Tesla made (until recently) more money per car than any company in modern history. So they figured it out. But, they keep dropping prices because they won’t improve the car luxury value or unlock some software advantages they have without charging….like FSD. It still is the future, but it isn’t the future for quite a few more years or even decades.

The solar part is wonderful but is a side note. It’s the hyper efficiency and new production flow that is unique in the BEV space. I for one will have a dedicated solar charging station to quadruple the charging speed.
The Aptera motorcycle is not efficient, it is aerodynamic. Something you will need above 70 mph. Even the famous "Schlörwagen" from 1932 was more aerodynamic. Teslas are efficient. Efficiency is expensive high tech. Aptera just bangs together over the shelf parts.
@@vic321344 nope, you’re incorrect. Efficiency for vehicles is measured by converting energy into motion. Weight, drag (aero dynamic as you say), weight, components used. All of it contribute to it. @@greghelton4668 Exactly. And in this definition of efficiency you have to compare equal with equal, not an Aptera motorcycle with a real car. There are motorcycles that are much more efficient than an Aptera. Tesla has the most efficient electric vehicles on the market, Aptera plans to build an aerodynamic motorcycle. It does have much greater range with a much smaller battery pack. Put two people in a Tesla and see how far it gets.
Well, 2025 could mean anywhere from January 2025 to December 2025. January is unlikely, both because of the estimate that it will take 9 months from funding being received to start of production, and because we still have to produce PI vehicles and test them.
