Better than iPhone 15 Pro Max, Half the Price! | Xiaomi 13T

  • Unboxing the Xiaomi 13T mid-range smartphone with a review of the camera tech, gaming performance on Genshin Impact, battery life and features. Despite the Xiaomi 13T costing less than half an iPhone 15 Pro Max, I've enjoyed using it a LOT more!
That Leica Vario-Summicron camera setup is reliable for everyday photography. The 50MP 24mm sensor with OIS works well even at night, and tends to offer realistic textures and tones. You can't shoot 8K video like you can with the Xiaomi 13T Pro but 4K footage still looks and sounds good.
While these phones often disappoint for software support, that’s not a problem here. The Xiaomi 13T boasts five years of security updates, plus four OS updates.
Gamers will love that Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Ultra performance too. Games like Genshin Impact run perfectly even over long periods. Meanwhile the 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, with HDR10+ AND Dolby Vision support, is bright, poppy and gorgeous.
Last up, the Xiaomi 13T can keep going all day with its 5000mah battery. Plus the 67W charging speeds means it lasts longer than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and powers up faster!

Xiaomi really needs to build new software because all of their phones fail because of the software in terms of maintaining performance and smooth navigation or gaming.
What is worse is the delay in updates that allocate some features to one region and others do not have these features, and the Chinese version is in another world that requires management control.

I wonder if I should go for the 13T or for one of the Samsung S2x FE 5G models if I mostly care about static rear camera shots from UW to something like 3-5x zoom. I've seen a ton of videos and comparisons and I'm really not sure what to choose. The Samsung 3x optical zoom seems slightly better, but the 13T seems to not be lacking too much behind, possibly to the point where it wouldn't matter, and it seems like a better phone overall. Any opinions appreciated (though I do realize that obviously I should be the one to know best what I need/want).

Great phone, I love the way you present the products. I actually have 3 xiaomi phones in the family, all from the T series. Xiaomi mi 10t lite, mi 10t pro and xiaomi 11t. Only the 11t use a mediatek processor, gorilla glass victus, metal frame and the same 67w charging. Performance is good on all the phones. Software support is ended for the 10t series, but I don't really care if the phone is working and battery life is ok. But is okay that xiaomi is extending the software support. Google is offering 7 years with the new pixels, but I think is mostly for marketing. The battery and the hardware will be obsolete after 3 years. The hardware is evolving and we want the latest and the greatest technology in our pocket. This year I was thinking about the xiaomi 13, I like the compact size, and design, wireless charging. But I wait for the 14 series and decide next year.

Why are so seriously stuck on Xiaomi? Is it the power and endless things you can do with/on MIUI and such nostaligic features like 3,5mm stereo port and IR Blaster? glad i'm not the only one. I hear 1Plus also packs this tech and Moto. I wish i could see someone using them to decide wheter i can try another brand. Your observations are profound...fast charging, wireless charging, battery life, good photos (we're not all content creators but Xiaomi gives us fair photos to keep memories). Cheers.

@@zuluswazi9470 I was a samsung user before, and huawei before that. I even tried Windows phone with a Nokia lumia. But my Samsung phone battery life was poor after almost two years, and I bought the mi 10t pro which I'm using right now and is a great phone even without the fancy amoled display. Then I bought the Mi 10t lite for my mother and is the only one with the stereo jack and micro SD card support. Also a great phone for the money, good battery life. After a year my wife wanted a new phone and the xiaomi 11t was a good bang for the price. I also have the xiaomi pad 5 and is a great tablet, good sound. I'm not considering myself a fan boy but xiaomi offered the best hardware for the money, software is more subiective but nothing wrong with the miui interface. Xiaomi improved the software lately, and the software support is longer now. I don't know much about the redmi and poco phones but the xiaomi ones are good. The new phones are more robust, IP 68 rating and leica cameras. Maybe if the price goes down more I will try the xiaomi 13. My coworker is using one and I like the dimensions, the display and the design. But maybe I'll wait for the 14. This mi 10t pro is just working perfectly, but no more updates.
