Xiaomi 13T Pro | Unboxing & 5 Day Review
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 15 июл 2024
- Unboxing the Xiaomi 13T Pro with a 5 day review of that Leica camera setup, gaming performance, battery life and beyond. The Xiaomi 13T Pro is a step down from the flagship phones for specs but boasts some capable optics, fast charging and more great features.
UK prices are £649/£699/£799 for the 256/512/1TB phones, with early bird offers
First up, the Leica vario-summicron camera hardware is solid for everyday photography. The 50MP 24mm sensor with OIS works well even at night, capturing bright, crisp images. You can also shoot up to 8K video on the Xiaomi 13T Pro and there’s an ultra-wide and telephoto lens for flexibility.
While these phones often disappoint for software support, that’s not a problem here. The Xiaomi 13T Pro will enjoy five years of security updates, plus four OS updates, matching many more expensive smartphones.
Gamers will love that Mediatek Dimensity 9200 Plus performance, with the fresh Immortalis-G715 MC16 GPU. Genshin Impact runs beautifully, helped by the Xiaomi 13T Pro’s dedicated cooling system.
That IP68 water resistance and fake leather back gives a premium touch, although the plastic edging is a shame. But no complaints from that 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, with HDR10+ AND Dolby Vision support. It’s incredibly bright and backed by stereo speakers.
Last up, the Xiaomi 13T Pro can keep going all day with its 5000mah battery. Plus the 120W HyperCharge support means you’ll be back to full power in no time.

Huge thanks for watching this early review of the Xiaomi 13T Pro. Hoping to also cover the regular 13T soon, which has a slightly less powerful 8200 Ultra chipset and slower (but still nippy) 67W charging, from £549. Pricing in the video description!
The phone can drop down to 30 hz (adaptive sync)
Love that you cover the more obscure phones! ❤
@@saturnbluexiaomi certainly isn't obscure, still better than iPhones
They killed the iPhone and Samsung oh wow
K60 Ultra camera is that bad comparing to this one ? the price is better but you get it from mainland China , if you have any problems ...
The best valued phone Xiaomi ever released - powerful chipset, good cameras, and even IP68 at this pricing is INSANE! 🔥
So for 800usd, i have the choice between midrange smartphone with mediatek or Iphone 15 ??? hummm...

Just watched the launch event. This review came in perfect time ❤️
Vous vous moquez de moi en ce moment 😤
coz they already got the review unit ahead of time, e.g. 2weeks
Love what xiaomi is doing with their products (especially my favourite line up is the Poco F5 and the Redmi 13 pro (which will most likely be a Poco rename for the international markets).
Xiaomi 13T pro looks marvelous. Love the review as well.

The redmi K60 is very similar as poco f5pro both brilliant phones

given the price, I think 13T is the new Poco.
the one thing i like the most from this youtuber, is the wall paper on the phone
The Xiaomi 13T Pro's powerful processor , mediatek dimensity 9200+ is a beast! That 144Hz AMOLED display and Leica camera system are just icing on the cake. Really looking forward to some blur free photography.
What a beast, it should get 5000 points in multi core yet it doesn't, mine is so incosistent is insane, I'm getting 3800 in multi, that's worse than an 3 years old chip from qualcomm, what a beast, lol
@@thepirate4095if you buy that phone just to stress test the phone then you should find a new hobby mate
Love the design both front and back.
The vegan leather is stunning plus the IP68 certification.
I only wish it should have a 3x telephoto cam instead of 2x.
Je déteste ce téléphone, son design et son appareil photo stupides
Well you know what they say, you can't have everything you want. 😂
Great information man thank you from USA.
Getting this one tomorrow 🎉 thanks for review!

Thank you for the review. You really got what I was concerned about in this new phone.
"The gaming feature for Genshin Impact"
Masterpiece design xiaomi 13,,the best ever..!!
Main camera sensor is the Sony IMX707, which was featured in the Xiaomi 12 pro, very good value!
Ce n'est pas un bon téléphone
It's a fantastic Phone.
Watching from mi 10 t pro and still beast
Mine arrived today. Pretty happy with it. Couple of things missing from both the 11T and 12T. There is no upscaling of videos, the speakers are not quite as good as the last two, but these are not tuned by Harden. The refresh rate is a bit of a gimmick. By default it only goes up to 120hz, you have to choose 144hz separately. And there is no dynamic scaling, it just switches to what ever rate the app needs. Camera so far I like, but don't get why they capped the front camera to only 30fps, last two went to 60fps
seriously need the wallpaper
Dude is the USB c to 3.5 jack the same as the 10t pro or does it use the other style with the dac thing! Thanks
Hey, thanks for the shoutout and all your reviews! Managed to bork my Pixel 2 trying to change the battery yesterday and ended up going with this one, Google asking 300 euros more for (in many ways) worse specs struck me as a bit much. Really hoping the camera works for me, I have mixed feelings about the aggressively contrasty look the default software tends to produce but I suppose there is always GCam. Also I learned from another review that the vignetting and other aspects of the photo processing that might not always be desirable can be switched off. Really appreciate the flat screen and five years of support on this one, I think that makes it a better deal than the similarly priced Xiaomi 13 that is almost a year old at this point so 20% less support. Maybe 5 years is long enough for a device. Was about time for an upgrade.
Brief update you know something the camera software is growing on me. Definitely a different experience than the Pixel, asks a bit more of the end user but very possible to achieve great results.
Yeah the camera isn't bad at all on Xiaomi @@jonathanlewis895
Gonna go for the pro!

It's an excellent deal.
Free tablet! What a bargain!!!
The MediaTek Dimensity 6020 on the Lava Blaze Pro 5G is a game-changer. This phone is a budget beast!
Just bought this in Bangkok for £360 and love it. Lots of free presents, power bank, Bluetooth speakers, rechargeable desk top fan, umbrella, and more
Where in Bangkok did you bought yours?
I love this phone and I recommended it at 100%.
Awesome review and shenamigans as always! I could not afford the 13Pro but could possibly sway the 13T pro.

The vegan leather back looks sick. Performance should be top notch thanks to the Dimensity 9200+.
Hi chris, love youre work. I have a question, what should i buy as mine new phone. This 13t pro or the oneplus 11 256gb instead?
I love this phone 📱
Thank you for the review. Which phone do you prefer the Xiaomi 13T pro or the Xiaomi 13? and whice camera is better?

I like your reviews not scripted infront of camera. Just unique.
Another enjoyable and informative review.
According to GSM arena, this phone has an aluminium frame. Will you verify that please (I know you said plastic frame in your vid).
Wish it has a telescopic lens.
Great value and look what comes with the phone 🔥 Samsung, Apple, Google, Sony should do the same 🫤
Amazing software support too...
Hi, Great review.. I need to ask though.. is this a rebranded Redmi K60 ultra? specs are the same aside from the camera partnership...
Hey man love the phone but what's the best screen protector that actually covers the screen and also phone cases available?
hi Chris, love watching your vlogs, very interesting, informative and comical, keep it up. I have a question for you, last july 2022, i bought an Oppo A74 5G after watching one of you vlogs. I have been very happy with it. it make great calls, takes fairly good pics etc. I don't play fast games (i'm 65) but i like internet access. It has been updated to colorOS 13 and Android 13 through the normal upgrade route on phone, but i cannot find anywhere how to enable VoLTE. I'm with Lebara and i know it should work in my area. Please help !!! PS my next phone will probably be the Xiaomi 13T.
Have the 12t pro and the 120w charger is the biggeste thing that has happened to smartphones in a very very long time.
For games, a very good phone because a graphics card is good and a powerful turbo processor is nice to play in ultra games that are on top graphics the other extras are good for a powerful and fast phone too👍👍👍
Happy 1M🎉❤

If only i could even find these for sale in the us!
Just ordered my 12gb 512gb in blue, and if you order from mi store you get a free xiaomi pad 6 worth £369. Plus extra stuff like 100gb google storage for 6 months and a free screen replacement within one year. Thought both the main and telephoto would have iOS, but having used an 11t pro for nearly two years now, and was quite happy with the cameras on that. Just want to see how the speakers compare, as they are not Harmen Kardon turned like in the last two.
here in spain it comes with a Xiaomi TV A2 42'' and a 200e discount on both 13t and 13t pro .
Free pad 6?!?! That's crazy.
@@mxhxsh came today have to say the pad 6 is really good,. Never found a decent android tablet that was under £500. But so far I'm impressed
Here in the Philippines, We only got the free xiaomi mi cam, 1 year of 100gb in google, and free 6 months replacement of the LCD. 😂
Great review, thanks. I can't find any info regarding audio capabilities of the 13T Pro: does it have an internal DAC ? I would like to connect wired headphones using a basic USB-C/Jack adapter.
I will definitely buy this one like next year.
I wish there where phone like these in Jamaica
Saw the launch event and came straight to you for the as usual excellent review! For what it has, it's a really good value for money phone. I like the textured finish. But why oh why does Xiaomi go and spoil the aesthetic by putting their usual CE crappage on the back? They deserve a well-earned arse kicking for that. I've got a 10T Pro which I guess will do for now.

Every phone does it these days 😂
It must be some sort of legal requirement
What are the zoom levels in the "zoom in" sequences? Specifically the Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast one. I'm guessing it's main camera (no zoom), base telephoto (so 2x zoom) and then 5x zoom? If so, that 5x zoom shot is indeed pretty usable.
The phone is Aquamarine, wallpaper is Kana. Cool!
Hope they launch it in India as well.

The regular 13T has the same display, and Leica cameras, with an 8200 Ultra chipset and 67W charging. From Xiaomi's UK website a 13T is currently £479! Same 4 OS upgrades, and security updates to 2028.

nice video. did you know the transfer speed of the port USB-C? 3 gen 1? support thunderbolt?
This looks like amazing value for money. One thing that I hope someone can confirm for me is do Xaiomi products support BBC iPlayer and ITV X catchup services in the UK?
Does it have a build in call recording and dual video recording features?
The microphone is excellent. Can it switch to ultrawide in video tho?
It's quite a while since this review but I purchased a Xiaomi 13T Pro based on this. Maybe I am missing something but I am returning it. I have an Oppo Find X5 Pro, which has been excellent but I was drawn to the Xiaomi because it has 120 Watt charging, more storage, a brilliant screen and supports the latest WiFi standards with 4 years of updates. How disappointed was I when I fired up the Xiaomi, the mobile signal is 1 bar in my house vs 5 bars on my Oppo. The Xiaomi holds onto the weakest WiFi signal on my Mesh system and refuses to change to the strongest signal unless I turn WiFi off and back on and worse than that the battery life is woeful, I had to charge it 3 times in one day! Why do reviewers never test the mobile signal strength? Isn't that the main point of a phone? Anyway, thought I would share. I am holding on to the Oppo, much superior where it matters.
a comparison between it and the nothing phone 2 in cameras would be great! Will we see?
Was really tempted by the 12t pro, but this has taken it to a new level, tempted to replace my fold 4 with this, it's just let down by the audio bitrate 😢
Wdym?🤔, 24bit ain't enough?, u wante 100bit?
@LilPersey the difference compared to 32 bit is night and day, it's too much of a compromise
I like the chip sets but the camera no way
I am definitely tempted 💯
Look at all those included accessories and years of software support.
And it has an IR blaster which I need 💥
Love this light blue colour with the vegan leather back 🔥
Be a good compliment to the S23 Ultra.
Does this Xiaomi don't have "Second Space" like other Xiaomi phones? I don't think you mentioned it...
You will get 2nd space
@@paressh I know you should get second space with Xiaomi phones but I think it's an important feature that Uncle Spurt should have mentioned along with the IR blaster as not many phone companies have it anymore...
Years of software support don't mean anything if there is just an update every 3 month or so.
@@kleinkalibar7486 that's reasonable if they're security updates...
That's consistent with Samsung's security updates...
Some other companies are more than 3 months...
The software updates are better than most which only committed to just 2 or 3 years...
@@IMHO88-dm1xf Not really....On Samsung and Google you get an update every month. Every three month is what I get on my 3 year old Galaxy Tab S7+ and that's not something I would consider acceptable for a "flagship". But as long as Xiaomi is using their horrible software and loads the phone with bloatware it a no go anyway
I like that this phone has much better sustained performance than the iPhone 15 Pro Max. a17 pro is fast but throttles very quickly.
Was gonna buy the Google pixel 8 but this one made me reconsider esp since 512 gb are available for much cheaper
In Germany we had a special boni, buy the 13t pro and get double the memory, so i got the 13t pro with 1 TB (UFS 4.0) and 35GB 5G 500Mbit for my dauther, price for the 2 years : 840€ all in. Now i can get the Redmi PAD SE too!
Great deal!
And one security patch per year, that's the Xiaomi world

Here is an idea: Since mid range and flagship phones are getting closer and closer in terms of features, just give the flagship phones features that are actually pro SD card slot, headphone jack, high-speed USB transfer, flagship CPU, telephoto camera, wireless charging, etc. We are already seeing some of this being implemented, like the TP lense that finally came on a T phone this year (last time we saw it was on the Mi9T, remember?). But especially the SD card slot disappears more and more - it's the most ironic thing that Xiaomi sells the Redmi Note 12 PRO without an SD card slot, and the regular Redmi Note 12 WITH one.
BIG RAM+ROM+Cloud solve this problem. This is the trend and inevitable.
@@xinrong4749 clouds come with their own disadvantages, like cost, slow upload speed, having to rely on one company to handle your data, etc. SD cards meanwhile can be useful for many things and are very convinient for.many situations.
@@xinrong4749 Ils n'achètent pas Android
The thing is companies know that if people are willing to pay a lot for phones, they will also be willing to pay for more storage.
On the other hand people that don't want to pay much, will get features like a SD slot for free.
Same thing for phone cases. Usually a phone case for a cheap phone costs less than a phone case from an expensive flagship.
Those companies know where to get the money from.
This defeats the purpose of IP rating though.
Hey do 2nd speaker really located at earpiece(top front)?
thinking of buying the 16GB RAM version DDR5! I may be wrong, but this may be the fastest phone out?! the Dimensity 9200+ seems to beat the Snap Gen 2 marginally. It looks like a work of art
