Huge thanks for watching this early review of the Xiaomi 13T Pro. Hoping to also cover the regular 13T soon, which has a slightly less powerful 8200 Ultra chipset and slower (but still nippy) 67W charging, from £549. Pricing in the video description!

It's quite a while since this review but I purchased a Xiaomi 13T Pro based on this. Maybe I am missing something but I am returning it. I have an Oppo Find X5 Pro, which has been excellent but I was drawn to the Xiaomi because it has 120 Watt charging, more storage, a brilliant screen and supports the latest WiFi standards with 4 years of updates. How disappointed was I when I fired up the Xiaomi, the mobile signal is 1 bar in my house vs 5 bars on my Oppo. The Xiaomi holds onto the weakest WiFi signal on my Mesh system and refuses to change to the strongest signal unless I turn WiFi off and back on and worse than that the battery life is woeful, I had to charge it 3 times in one day! Why do reviewers never test the mobile signal strength? Isn't that the main point of a phone? Anyway, thought I would share. I am holding on to the Oppo, much superior where it matters.
@@nomz1362Nothing, normal browsing, a few you tube videos and music. Light use, no games. Xiaomi support was awful, over a month for a refund. Never again.
The regular 13T has the same display, and Leica cameras, with an 8200 Ultra chipset and 67W charging. From Xiaomi's UK website a 13T is currently £479! Same 4 OS upgrades, and security updates to 2028.
Here is an idea: Since mid range and flagship phones are getting closer and closer in terms of features, just give the flagship phones features that are actually pro SD card slot, headphone jack, high-speed USB transfer, flagship CPU, telephoto camera, wireless charging, etc. We are already seeing some of this being implemented, like the TP lense that finally came on a T phone this year (last time we saw it was on the Mi9T, remember?). But especially the SD card slot disappears more and more - it's the most ironic thing that Xiaomi sells the Redmi Note 12 PRO without an SD card slot, and the regular Redmi Note 12 WITH one.
@@xinrong4749 clouds come with their own disadvantages, like cost, slow upload speed, having to rely on one company to handle your data, etc. SD cards meanwhile can be useful for many things and are very convinient for.many situations.
The thing is companies know that if people are willing to pay a lot for phones, they will also be willing to pay for more storage. On the other hand people that don't want to pay much, will get features like a SD slot for free. Same thing for phone cases. Usually a phone case for a cheap phone costs less than a phone case from an expensive flagship. Those companies know where to get the money from.

Hey, thanks for the shoutout and all your reviews! Managed to bork my Pixel 2 trying to change the battery yesterday and ended up going with this one, Google asking 300 euros more for (in many ways) worse specs struck me as a bit much. Really hoping the camera works for me, I have mixed feelings about the aggressively contrasty look the default software tends to produce but I suppose there is always GCam. Also I learned from another review that the vignetting and other aspects of the photo processing that might not always be desirable can be switched off. Really appreciate the flat screen and five years of support on this one, I think that makes it a better deal than the similarly priced Xiaomi 13 that is almost a year old at this point so 20% less support. Maybe 5 years is long enough for a device. Was about time for an upgrade.
Brief update you know something the camera software is growing on me. Definitely a different experience than the Pixel, asks a bit more of the end user but very possible to achieve great results.
Mine arrived today. Pretty happy with it. Couple of things missing from both the 11T and 12T. There is no upscaling of videos, the speakers are not quite as good as the last two, but these are not tuned by Harden. The refresh rate is a bit of a gimmick. By default it only goes up to 120hz, you have to choose 144hz separately. And there is no dynamic scaling, it just switches to what ever rate the app needs. Camera so far I like, but don't get why they capped the front camera to only 30fps, last two went to 60fps
Good thing Leica thought the 8 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro are really horrible so they can ask Xiaomi to upgrade the cameras during the 13T’s development

The thing is these phones charge so fast that even if you forget to charge it on an evening and its down to say 30% come the morning plug it in and 15 mins later its done. thinking of buying the 16GB RAM version DDR5! I may be wrong, but this may be the fastest phone out?! the Dimensity 9200+ seems to beat the Snap Gen 2 marginally. It looks like a work of art
It's actually got the more powerful chip in any phone ever, if you trust antutu benchmark. Looks like a very good xiaomi phone to me, they finally gave up on the 8mp UW and 2mp macro, gives me hope Is it usb-2 still though ?
Loved the livestream announcements but I want to know one thing... have the GPS issues been fixed??? It's pissing annoying that every Xiaomi phone I've had couldn't get GPS AND ARCore to work normally
Speaking of James Corden, I think you missed a golden opportunity when describing the Pixel's ability to erase and replace an unpleasant looking face in a photo. Other than that, really enjoyed this one, it was extra salty, no doubt brought about by having to deal with the latest iTurd. And maybe from sinking a few Nothing beers before filming?
What are the zoom levels in the "zoom in" sequences? Specifically the Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast one. I'm guessing it's main camera (no zoom), base telephoto (so 2x zoom) and then 5x zoom? If so, that 5x zoom shot is indeed pretty usable.
This looks like amazing value for money. One thing that I hope someone can confirm for me is do Xaiomi products support BBC iPlayer and ITV X catchup services in the UK?

Hopefully it doesn't have display malfunction and over heating issues like my 11T Pro after 2 months in use.. I stuck by it for about a year like that until i switched to Honor.
@unholydonuts No i never brought it back it was acting up a good few times after 2 months, even had strange battery drainage for about a month.. When i use the 120w charger to 100% it sticks there for like 8 hours with heavy usage, bit strange thay, but once it starts to go down, soon as i get to 80% it drops to 0% in 15 mins.. But i charge it again to 100 and same issue.. But that doesn't happen anymore.. I still use it on and off for the cameras to take pictures and videos.. But my Honor Magic5 Lite that i switched too the battery and display is solid, better than my 11T Pro no issues, but cameras are not great and no stereo speakers that I miss, so i might go back to 13T Pro once prices drop after 10 months
Great review, thanks. I can't find any info regarding audio capabilities of the 13T Pro: does it have an internal DAC ? I would like to connect wired headphones using a basic USB-C/Jack adapter.
Instead of buying this you can buy Pixel 8/Pro both of them have 7 years of Major Android updates and 8 years of Security Patch updates and it's confirmed 😱😱🔥🔥 and it beats IOS's 5/6 years of OS updates and Security Patch updates 😏👍🏻
I can usually kill most phone batteries in two years. 😈 I have tried to hate my Xiaomi phone, but the bugger has been incredibly reliable for three years. Including updates and security updates. I might even be tempted to replace it with another. Especially an OLED, because the screen on this one has never been that bright.

I paid 400 bucks and it's quite a upgrade from the old Note 9 Pro. I do only buy a new Xiaomi phone all 3-4 years.
thinking of buying the 16GB RAM version DDR5! I may be wrong, but this may be the fastest phone out?! the Dimensity 9200+ seems to beat the Snap Gen 2 marginally. It looks like a work of art
I can see some comments with really inappropriate profile pictures. Are they your sponsors uncle tech?
And one security patch per year, that's the Xiaomi world
Tu plaisantes
seriously need the wallpaper
It's actually got the more powerful chip in any phone ever, if you trust antutu benchmark. Looks like a very good xiaomi phone to me, they finally gave up on the 8mp UW and 2mp macro, gives me hope
Is it usb-2 still though ?
Comme j'ai été égoïste d'oublier la mise à jour
Yes
Mais non je t'en veux pas tkt@@EmmieSuksai
Loved the livestream announcements but I want to know one thing... have the GPS issues been fixed??? It's pissing annoying that every Xiaomi phone I've had couldn't get GPS AND ARCore to work normally
Je n'achèterai plus jamais de téléphone Android avec toi
Can you post those stunning wallpapers somewhere plz? ;D
After a simple comparison, I concluded that this phone is the same redmi k60 ultra. The only difference is the camera and at twice the price 🤨
The phone is Aquamarine, wallpaper is Kana. Cool!
My man can you share with me where your beautiful wallpapers?
This looks like amazing value for money. One thing that I hope someone can confirm for me is do Xaiomi products support BBC iPlayer and ITV X catchup services in the UK?
Awesome review and shenamigans as always! I could not afford the 13Pro but could possibly sway the 13T pro.
Mauvaise critique non merci

Bro awesome video. Please recheck Geekbench scores. My 13T achieves 1250/4050 in performance mode, in balanced 1120/3700
Which is better, Mi 13 Pro or 13T Pro in terms of gaming performance and temperature?
I am definitely tempted 💯
Look at all those included accessories and years of software support.
And it has an IR blaster which I need 💥
Love this light blue colour with the vegan leather back 🔥
Be a good compliment to the S23 Ultra.
Does this Xiaomi don't have "Second Space" like other Xiaomi phones? I don't think you mentioned it...
You will get 2nd space
@@paressh I know you should get second space with Xiaomi phones but I think it's an important feature that Uncle Spurt should have mentioned along with the IR blaster as not many phone companies have it anymore...
Years of software support don't mean anything if there is just an update every 3 month or so.
@@kleinkalibar7486 that's reasonable if they're security updates...
That's consistent with Samsung's security updates...
Some other companies are more than 3 months...
The software updates are better than most which only committed to just 2 or 3 years...
@@IMHO88-dm1xf Not really....On Samsung and Google you get an update every month. Every three month is what I get on my 3 year old Galaxy Tab S7+ and that's not something I would consider acceptable for a "flagship". But as long as Xiaomi is using their horrible software and loads the phone with bloatware it a no go anyway
Hi, Great review.. I need to ask though.. is this a rebranded Redmi K60 ultra? specs are the same aside from the camera partnership...
Can you tell me which one is better in cameras Oppo Find X5 Pro or Xiaomi 13T Pro?
I'm currently torn between buying the f5 or waitong for the Redmi note 13 pro+. What would you suggest?
now that the redmi note is out, definitely redmi note
The microphone is excellent. Can it switch to ultrawide in video tho?
Id give dang near anything for that phone .. but I'm in america broke on disability and dreaming of Android updates
Currently using my xiaomi Mi 9T pro with SD 855. Is Mediatek good this days 🤔
Its the redmi k60 ultra exact same specs
I wish there where phone like these in Jamaica
I will definitely buy this one like next year.
Question. Can u get this phone to use in the USA I'm looking for ideas to supprise one of my parents with something new and good .
But my Honor Magic5 Lite that i switched too the battery and display is solid, better than my 11T Pro no issues, but cameras are not great and no stereo speakers that I miss, so i might go back to 13T Pro once prices drop after 10 months
nice video. did you know the transfer speed of the port USB-C? 3 gen 1? support thunderbolt?
Great review, thanks. I can't find any info regarding audio capabilities of the 13T Pro: does it have an internal DAC ? I would like to connect wired headphones using a basic USB-C/Jack adapter.
I have a Pixel 7 and was thinking of getting one of these instead. Which is better in your eyes Chris?
Instead of buying this you can buy Pixel 8/Pro both of them have 7 years of Major Android updates and 8 years of Security Patch updates and it's confirmed 😱😱🔥🔥 and it beats IOS's 5/6 years of OS updates and Security Patch updates 😏👍🏻
I can usually kill most phone batteries in two years. 😈
I have tried to hate my Xiaomi phone, but the bugger has been incredibly reliable for three years. Including updates and security updates. I might even be tempted to replace it with another. Especially an OLED, because the screen on this one has never been that bright.
Hey, I've been using Mi note 10 and apparently its life time is over. I used it for only 3 years. Do you think 13t pro is the best way to go or I'd better add more pennies and get a more advanced one? (Even iPhone)
Anyone know if this fits in the backbone one? The camera bump looks huge. Thanks.
Do you like this 13t pro or readmi note 13 pro plus more?
Love that you cover the more obscure phones. ❤
Heloo, please tell me what to chose from Xiaomi 13 t pro or my Huawei p50 pro?
The 1 Terra option is not available on their website, here in the UK. . Shame
You can get if in France 🤷
