Given how much I absolutely hate Metroid Dread, and that was the game they molded from the most in their development interviews... Makes me want to avoid it all the more despite a Mechanic like melee counter actually making sense with a melee fighter.

If you watch the IGN video with Takashi Iizuka, the interviewer was asking specifically about the possibility of Sonic Unleashed being remastered.

Honestly I just don't care about it anymore. And modern Ubisoft will only just make the final product worse with 4 editions of the game, lots of pay to win microtransactions or else hours of grinding levels with small side quests. (if they can decide on what that product will even look like)
Sands of Time being in development hell is insane. It's a bloody remake. Yeah, the artstyle they showed years ago was weird but Jesus, the announcement came with a release date for a couple months later, they game was practically ready.

Phils interview was definitrly obvious on what they were going to do. They attempted to make games that were meant to be (or always were) multiplat and turn them into xbox exclusive to bring people into the xbox ecosystem. That didnt pan out well and now they are just reverting to how things were before.
Phil's making more major moves than Sony ever could. PS5 players need to accept that their company doesn't have Microsoft money and that all these acquisitions are gonna spend Sony out of business sooner than you think.

@@FrodoBagginsPotter Its going to force Sony to adopt the same strategy. Sony fanboys don't want to admit it, but look at where we are right now and where we were just a few years ago. We went from "Sony will never put their games anywhere else", to "Well only a few games may go to PC after 6-7 years" to "Well we won't see them until they're 2 years old" to "well only these GAAS games are going to be day and date on PC" to "Well their games will come to PC after at least 1 year", to "Yeah of course this LEGO Horizon game will go to Switch Day one, why wouldn't it". They're just warming up their fanbase to the inevitable day and date on all platforms future that we'll see sooner rather than later.
I would love to see a Sonic Adventure Battle 2 Remaster/Remake!
If you mean a remaster, there technically was a remaster back in 2012 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, and though it's a million times better than SADX, it still isn't perfect, and while it's backwards compatible on the Xbox One and Series, it's still only 720p on consoles with no resolution boost (even though the game could've easily done 1080p on the PS360 with no issue).

Ubisoft was straight trash like always literally showed a candle lighting. Then AC enemies just stood there waiting to die.
People are wondering how the Direct can outshine the Microsoft showcase, but I don’t even think that’s the right question. This is one of the last Directs, so I believe Nintendo is saving that level of energy for the successor’s announcement.
The Nintendo Direct is the REAL gaming event.
Microsoft's "For Modern Audiences" Showcase looks good now but will disappoint.
I think it's setting yourself for disappointment to expect the world from the upcoming Direct. It's probably the last one before the next console marketing and announcements starts.

If people are expecting it to one up Microsoft they're setting themselves up for disappointment. We're at the switch's last main year if being THE console, its prob gonna be mostly remakes remasters and ports with a couple new smaller announcements. The biggest things Id expect would be a new fire emblem, legends Z-A gameplay (since the first trailer had none), and at best we finally see metroid prime 4 but I expect prime 2/3 hd to come first.
That microsoft showcase was honestly way too packed for nintendo to realistically one up them, but hey we'll see.
I definitely want a Sonic Adventure remake, but a Sonic Heroes remake is what I'm craving the most.
Sonic Unleashed is one of the most requested remasters of all time from Sonic fans I believe, that game absolutely needs it.

@@mala4196 (While it's a great option if you have a Series system), it unfortunately still runs at the ugly 880x720 resolution, texture and G.I. (global Illumination) quality is mediocre (the September 2008 beta version has higher quality versions of those G.I. and textures), it has a few 60fps bugs, and other systems don't have the ability to play the game.
We've been hearing Sega claiming all sorts of "we have incredible games and stuff coming soon!", but none of these things seem to have the weight they want us to hype for... =/
I will never understand how anyone can see popular games being multiplat as a negative, but I guess in $current_year you always have to look for something to be upset over.

When games like Doom have already an audience on another platforms, it makes perfect sense to keep those fans playing the games. The other four franchises were exclusive to Xbox before.

I believe early into the trailer the radio guy calls her Agent Dark, from that moment I was sure it was Perfect Dark.
@tiagonobrega8046 Yeah, but to be honest, besides the name drops of Agent Dark and Carrington, nothing about it even felt like Perfect Dark. One of the biggest plot points of PD are the alien races like the Maians and Skedar. No recognizable weapon? At some point a reboot feels less like a reboot if nothing about it even reminds you of the original.

Metal slug tactics doesn't work well on the steamdeck OLED. It doesn't have controller input so you need a mouse and keyboard
Yes adventure 2 battle was such a great game when I was a child especially playing multiplayer with my friends. I don’t own retro consoles anymore but I’ve been contemplating to purchase a steam deck just for this one game since they can’t release it for current gen.
Am I the only one that remembers that they said that they were seeing how those 4 titles were a trial to see how they went? As well as during the merger with Bethesda that some games would be cross platform?

when i played mgs3 about 5y ago i loved it and wished for a remake, but was bummed to wait 5 years for the og to turn 20 to even SEE if they try remaking it. glad to see that they'll celebrate mgs3's 20th with this remake's release. cant wait.

I feel like they are not touching the Sonic Adventure games yet. They remastered Sonic Colors and now Generations, so for the next remasters I think Sonic Unleased or Sonic Lost World would make the most sense.
I know the dude has to be vague in his titles to draw in viewers but they all just blend in when you see word like " strange" and "major" almost every single video.
Yeah, part of the problem with Ubisoft is the PC announcement. How many of those mean steam, like the rogue prince of persia, and how many are ubisoft crummy store only, like Avatar? I can't get excited for anything of theirs really because who knows where it might actually be.
They might release their games on Steam later. The Anno games used to be Ubisoft Connect only and are on Steam now.

Shadows of the Empire (1996) and Rogue Squadron (1997) and TIE Fighter (1994) has no lightsabers or force and I still love those games :P

That's the entire appeal, tho. We had plenty of star wars games that let us use the force and lightsabers. We barely had any games that let us just be scoundrels dealing with the criminal underworld.

I would love a remaster of Sonic '06. I never got to play it on 360, but I heard it was really bad, and it's infamy peaks my interest to this day. In spite of all the hate the game gets, from what I hear, there's actually as pretty good Sonic game under all the game breaking bugs and glitches. I think that particular game deserves a second chance if that's really the case.
Besides Sonic Adventurer 1 & 2, I think Sonic Heroes would be an interesting remaster.
The fact the trailer was made private is a good indicator that it might be a Nintendo Direct coming on June 18, 2024.

The only thing i can say for sure is the MS showcase was way better than the Ubisoft showcase.
The 18th seems like a good date. If Nintendo is paying attention, the 19th or Juneteenth, would not be a good day for a Direct. The next week is Luigi's Mansion 2 HD release and you want to give gamers more time to see the Directs and build up excitement because not everyone can watch a Direct the time it airs. Very rarely am I able to watch a direct when it airs because of work. It really sucks when they drop new products during a Direct and they are gone shortly after. Would have ordered those N64 controllers right then and there but I had to wait almost two years before I got one.

I'll give Star Wars Outlaws credit for something... they did something Starfield failed to do... the feeling you can fly in from orbit to the surface. Personally of the Ubisoft Forward, I found myself more looking forward to AC Shadows... that's not a guarantee I am buying it right away but Star Wars overall is on its last breath lately to me.

Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 are already on PC. What we need is Sonic Unleashed which is ONLY on Xbox through backwards compatibility.
We also need Sonic Heroes which is only available through “pirating” the original 2004 PC version lmfao.
