- How To Fix Microphone Not Plugged in Windows 11 [Tutorial]
If you use your Windows 11 computer to host or attend video conferences, or record audio and podcasts, you definitely need a reliable microphone. Your computer’s built-in microphone is not capable of capturing high-quality audio input, so you need to buy an external mic and connect it to your PC or laptop.
Well, sometimes Windows 11 may fail to detect your microphone. The OS usually displays an error message saying the microphone is not plugged in. The good news is that you can fix this problem with the help of this tutorial.
You are trying to play an online game with your friends, attend a video meeting or just record your newest podcast on your PC when you get this message: Microphone not plugged in.
It happened to the best of us so don’t worry, good news is coming. There are a number of options in Windows 11 sound settings that need to be configured in order for the computer to detect the microphone.

Most external microphones are plug-and-play devices. They don’t need any specific software/driver installation and mostly work with the regular audio drivers. However, if while trying to do the same, the audio recording/input doesn’t work and the Sound settings show “Not plugged in” corresponding to the Microphone, then watch this tutorial for the resolution.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Alienware, Razer, MSI, Huawei , Microsoft Surface, and Samsung. - Наука

If you use a Realtek Audio driver go to search and type in (Realtek Audio Console) then go to the bottom left to (Device advanced settings) under (Connector Retasking) you'll have a drop down menu with some options choose (Headset with microphone) i remember having this issue on windows 10 but couldn't remember how to do it took me like an hour to figure it out. Hope this helps dude
