- Today I showed a very annoying error that shows your Jack Mic showing "Not Plugged In" even if your Jacks/USB are plugged in correctly.

This actually solved the problem. I thought I was going nuts and that my port was broken. What a stupid design to hide the settings this way.
my god thank you, i had an annoying code leak from voice mod that entirely rewrote the input selection to the voice option one, but nothing worked and even after uninstalling was still there, eventually found and uninstalled the driver, but then had this option, i cant tell you how happy i am seeing my jac mic pop up now because of this THANK YOU
Worked Perfectly. For those who are confused and have a Port for both a headphones and Microphone on their PC i have a fix that worked for me. When you go to the device advanced settings section in the app from the video ( Realtek Audio Console ) their should be 2 options under 'Front Panel', in my case it was set to both headphones. To fix the issue i put my 'headphone' to the top on and 'mic in' on the bottom one. Maybe changing it and messing around with it will solve your issue. Hope this helps.

how do you download realtek audio console?
you need to download your motherboards audio drivers. search up the name of your mother board (brand included) and add drivers to the end of it and it should be the first thing that pops up

The realtek audio console is laid out differently now. No option to even detect a mic. SUCKS.

dude thanks so much! i was so close to giving up cause none of the other tutorials seems to be working for me (tho it may have worked for others). altho in my case, it was set to "headphone" so i changed it to "headset" ( it doesnt say "headset (with microphone)" on mine). To anyone still having the issue: Try disabling the front panel jacks, that's what worked for me. I could even enable them after and it still worked.

If anyone else goes into the audio console and you cant see any "Headset (with microphone)" in the options, then you simply choose "Headset".
I also didn't have the headset with microphone but just using the headset option fixed my problem.

If it is not on there try and download a software or get a jack splitter :)
I got it on laptop...but I had a headset splitter plugged in while doing the solution so maybe thats why it popped up, altho I removed it now, its still working just fine, the headset splitter iteslef didnt do shit, this man is a legend
