I like the callback of Stussy ordering ‘screaming giraffe juice” at Big Mom’s Tea Party and now literally drinking a giraffe’s blood with Kaku.
Given her epithet of "Queen of the Pleasure District," I think it makes a lot more sense for Stussy's devil fruit to be a succubus model over a vampire. Furthermore, her putting Kaku to sleep sort of compounds the idea, as, in many theologies, succubi feed on those who rest. And Oda, of course, is an absolute sucker for throwing in bits of theology from different beliefs, and the concept of succubi as actually rather common across them.
Well, the trend of Succubus is pretty popular in fantasy anime and jrpg. And how their power are usually related to energy draining, seduction, and sleep + dream manipulation is pretty common.

There is a high possibility that the scientist from the west blue that proposed the 21 g of mass upon death is Dr. Hodgback. He was from west blue and also experimenting with dead bodies. His relationship with Cindry might be a parallel to Vegapunk and Stussy. Instead of reanimating her dead body with shadows, Vegapunk used science to create a perfect clone.
Weevil may not be a clone but a Frankensteins monster.

Du Feld was the founder of MADS, the ones responsible for Stussy's creation. The fact that she killed him during Whole Cake brings a new meaning to the scene. The creation againts its creator.

@@blengdiabloed7335 Being a member of Rocks crew is just an easy way for Oda to say this old character was cool back in the day. You could say Woopslap was a member of Rocks crew and suddenly he becomes one of the most interesting characters in One Piece.
As a reminder, Seagull was a member of Roger's crew. He's traveled the New World, seen the One Piece. Does anyone care about him? Not really, because we haven't seen him personally aspire to anything. Being on a cool crew does not make oneself automatically cool.
I still think the 'traitor' is Shaka. I'm fairly sure he was the one who took the security down and is planning to trap/blow-up the marines in order to let the Straw-hats and Vegapunk escape. He has seen the data and assessed that this is the only way to keep the Stella safe, this explains why he told Dragon that he thinks that he is going to die soon and he keeps reinforcing to others that they have to keep stella safe. He made up his mind as soon as he knew the Straw-hats were coming to Egghead as he's probably heard about their escapades. I really hope there is a crazy reveal when that Daft Punk mask is eventually Shattered (that design is hiding something cool, I just know it).

I think the most interesting detail that raps the clone and age thing is that we see Bonnie turn herself into a child and then literally into a distorted and physically more powerful version of herself. Almost like an alternate timeline like how Oda has already shown us in this arc. So maybe CLONE Stussy looks young because she lived a different life than the original.

Just want to point out Liam, Vegapunk could absolutely have given Stussy a DF, if it was a Zoan. Which he has confirmed he CAN make, even "special" ones (presumably meaning Mythical Zoans, like Kaido's), given time and resources.
The Green Blood was specifically mentioned in regards to Paramecia's.
I agree sine S-Shark have the Swim Swim Fruit, S-Snake has Boas which is the Love Love Fruit and S-Bear is likely to have the Paw Paw Fruit or a different Paramecia.
If BB was a clone of Rocks, wouldn't Whitebeard have noticed it in the 20 years BB spent on his ship and revealed something, while fighting him at Marineford?
That's probably why he kept him on his crew to keep him in line. Also revealing this at marineford would send the world into a panic.

Probably, yes. If BB was a successfull clone. But maybe he wasn't, so he didn't quite turn out as Rocks.
Another possible reason could be that Whitebeard was just not familiar with the concept of cloning, thus just thought that some random dude coincidentally looks a bit like Rocks.
To me it actually doesn't really matter as I really hope BB does not turn out to be a clone. I really would much prefer him to just be his own character, and not a clone of someone else. Even if it was the legendary Rocks himself.

I find it interesting that Stussy was not interested in killing them but just temporarily putting Luci and Kaku to sleep. It could mean that Kizaru just arrived to Egg Head and she is setting up the floor to take control of the seraphim. Luci has been acting reckless, and Stussy has been pointing that out even before they arrived to Egg Head.

Some might call it rushed to pull out the majority of the mysteries of Vegapunk and mads but I personally think eggman's been not a rushed arc but one thats been the culmination of whole cake island, dressrosa and wano with the Smile fruits.
There are two cases of women aging "normally" in One Piece. Tsuru of the Marines looks like a simple old lady, she isn't drawn fat, hunched, or with a silly old lady face. There's also Dr. Kureha who looks old only in the face, and is practically still in the prime of her physical capabilities.
except Kureha has something weird going on bc she says she is 139 and even in One Piece thats still impossible without a Devil Fruit

Hot take: Stussy does not have a devil fruit power because she IS a devil. What she did to Kaku is drain his DF powers knocking him out in the same way seastone does by draining his powers.
So we finally confirmed Oda gets his inspiration from the fans !! Nah, but these last 4 chapters are casually dropping amazing plotpoints and backstorys. I love the egghead arc so far!

One thing that we shouldn't overlook I think is this is vegapunk saying this, remember he thinks that not having the same color made from momo's fruit is a "failure" despite the rest of it being fine so who knows what a failed clone is, so being the first successful clone it means she's perfect in what they were trying to make since vegapunk is a perfectionist which depending on how this goes can be really good or bad for us.
For me, one of my favorite things in the past 3-4 chapters is Lilith. She's been the main Vegapunk comedy imo, since while she's supposed to be evil she ends up just being sarcastic and an absolute queen.
If I had a nickel for every time juice was drained out of a giraffe and drunk by Stussy, I would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.
so we know Kuma can take out someone's pain as well as memory and pass it on to someone else. So it's possible that Kuma helped pass on the traits of Vega Punk to his satellites
That's a fair point. But this little info has even more significance on a much bigger scale.
If Kumas fruit can take out memories, this means that it could have also been used earlier in history to wipe the memories about the occurances during the void century.

Vegapunk already cut up his brain and put it into the satellites by the time he explored tangible memorys with kuma judging by vegas head in that flashback so kuma didnt help with the satellite (unless vegapunk put his brain in punk records at that time in the flashback then u are absolutely correct)

I used to avoid watching your videos until after the chapters hit the Shonen Jump app so I wouldn't get spoiled, but I've realized watching your videos first gives me a better understanding of what's happening in the chapter when I read it. Helps me digest the content more thoroughly and actually retain information (which there has been SO MUCH information in Egghead.)

This chapter raised so many more questions, it's rediculous.
1. The fact that Kaku was able to awaken his Devil Fruit after just two years seems a little bit odd to me. I'm sure it's not entirely impossible, but the fact that the design of Kaku's and Lucci's forms are so similar could potenially also hint at something else, whatever that might be.
2. Now that we now Stussy is a clone, who was the individual on the cover page with all the MADS members? Was it the original or the clone?
3. Additionally to the slow introduction of every member of MADS, we also got introduced to more and more members of the Rocks Pirates in the last three Arcs (including Egghead now). Will that also continue?
I'm sure one could come up with even more questions.
Bonus: Was that the first time we saw Kuma without his hat? So the bear ears aren't just a design choice but grew with his powers, too?
Regarding the bonus, I like to think it's just stylised hair like that one member of Buggy's crew who seemingly tamed Richie the lion
My theory is it was the original, and thus the same person going around with Weevil, who is probably an experiment she made.
@@oxcare5 I looked up the chapter with the small flashback panel by Bonney (1063). I forgot that we saw him there without a hat, too. But what's also interesting is, that he definitely has a pair of humen ears, where in the latest chapter, we don't see them, but he has those bear ears on his head.

During the chapter he explained artificial devil fruits, Vega just said he couldn’t make paramecias into fruit form and needed green blood, and that he hadn’t succeeded on remaking logia’s yet
The devil race is interesting. It’s possible that gecko Moria could be part of that race given his vampiric appearance that has never been explained.
Adding the clones layer to the story specifically in the future island arc, is purely brilliance from Oda.
Also now it makes so much sense why Stussy was a guest at big mom's tea party. She's a former crewmate.

Don't forget about Du Feld, his former patron, and he got zero screen time and interaction with both of them, makes me think this time Oda is just drawing connections between existing characters instead of having actually planed this.

Yup this is my theory, xebec put his memories or soul into. A 1-2 old Blackbeard before going off to god valley(maybe xebec knew he was gonna die )(perhaps the intagibilty manifestation is a race thing and xebec is the same race as kuma) and Blackbeard got his 3rd soul from whoever had the yami yami previously and it parallels roger finding baby shanks on god valley and shanks inheiriting rogers will (in a legacy way not literally in Blackbeards case)

Well to be fair Lucci and Kaku were both going off on their own, going against what they were ordered about the straw-hats. So maybe Stussy is just trying to reign them both back in a bit
I totally agree since the 5 Elders did made an order to CPO to NOT engage with Luffy's crew since they are a Emperor Crew now, But neither Kaku and Lucci ignore their orders regardless anyways.
Maybe the reason Stussy the clone looks younger than Miss Bakkin is due to her vampire fruit, drinking the blood of the people and retaining her youth.
I don't think that Miss Buckin is a clone herself but I do think that she made Weevil out of what her non-scientist brain could remember from letting Vegapunk use her for cloning Stussy. Which would explain his very wonky design as a "Whitebeard offspring". Or he could be one of the failed attempts of Vegapunk that predates Stussy whom Miss Bucking took with her.
Bonnie might even be a clone of the real queen dowager she pretended to be back in Reverie.
What makes you think she isn't a scientist? That could have been her role on the Rocks crew, she could be a doctor- a pretty large number of doctors on prominent crews are mad scientists of some stripe.
I think the timelines of MADs interesting becuz some ppl think its 30+ years ago becuz of weevils age but they forget that ceasar is 40 y.o. and couldnt be 10 years or younger at the time, ima guess cesear was 16 during mads becuz 24 years ago lines up with bonneys age and stussy is 24 too, with weevil i feel like there was hogback imperfected cloning going on cuz in the vega and kuma flashback vegapunk seems to be inspired by what we think is dr hogbacks experiments of the soul and yup weevil predates stussy as weevil was conceived of 2-3 years after god valley
The Bonny being a clone theory would make a lot of sense with her devil fruit allowing her non-organic body be able to simulate aging.
Also we can now connect the female face that Kurozumi Higurashi truned into is probably Stussy's face back when Higurashi was showing off her powers. We sa Shiki and now Stussy's face, showing that there is a connection.
It's almost as if Oda controls his entire universe even dragging fans into it and controlling their brain

After rereading this chapter with the official release, I can't help but wonder what Oda's playing at with MADS. Specifically, that the MADS flashback on the cover story shows Caesar, Judge, and Queen gleefully inventing mass-produced weapons of slaughter, while on the very next page the research notes from Vegapunk call MADS "The Laboratory for Peace." Wonder when we're going to find out what happened there.
I was thinking that too. But vegapunk as we saw with bonney at the start he does seem able to be manipulated so perhaps those guys just wanted to use vegapunks intelligence and resources for their own ends and keep that secret from him
What does MADS mean?
My own kinda odd theory is that the One Piece is a giant golden Poneglyph. A near impossible to move treasure with a message and the story of the first Joyboy's life. However, knowing Oda, it will be even more interesting.

If you consider the fact that the only one who could actually move that amount of gold is Enel then that seems interesting
there's definitily something of the sort on laugh tale, either that or a dial but this can't be the one piece. Roger even took a copy of every rio poneglyph he found and left it there so we'll for sure get to learn about the void century when we reach it but the one piece is something else

I think Stussy could be allied with Vegapunk, the revolutionary army or both as based on Vegapunk's notes at the start of the chapter it seems he viewed her with care and respect where as everyone else might've not, so I assume it was reciprocated and now she's gonna help him escape.
Assuming he was actually talking about Bonney though, it would then make so much sense for them to want to hide the truth from her as it would potentially indeed hurt her and give her an existential crisis, instead of it just being : " Kuma sacrificed himself for her and the world to aid the revolutionary army and Vegapunk in their fight against the world government for a better future " ; would also explain why her clothes when she was shown as a child were similar to that of a poor person despite being a princess since Kuma was a king. Maybe he was the only survivor of his family if his kingdom was attacked, resulting in him allying with the revolutionaries, which then, as you said, made him want at least his daughter back hence Bonney.

One Piece has entered it’s Clone Saga, and frankly, I’m going to call it: it’s going to be both longer and massively better than Spider-Man’s.
My theory/assumption with this chapter was that the DF we see Caesar holding in the cover page is the one they eventually fed to Stussy/Stussys Clone since it looks much more like a proper DF than any artificial we have seen yet

My brother and I have this theory that mythical zoans can be awakened twice. Kaido’s probably started as a fish, awakened into a dragon (hence the clouds around him) then awakened further when he became a flaming cheeto. Luffy gets similar clouds of steam during gear 4, before getting full clouds during gear 5. Makes you wonder what an awakened Marco would look like, eh?
P.S. I know Momo didn’t have to do any awakening to become a dragon, but his fruit is artificial, so who knows what’s going on there.

Honestly, the Stussy reveal was great and all, but I think the bigger reveal was the Kuma Pain Balloon hidden in VP's lab. I think that big reveal actually revealed a LOT about what's been going on with Kuma and VP. VP said it was Kuma's "pain" which I think is literal. What if the reason he became an android was because through the process of becoming one, he would accumulate *so much pain* that he could manifest into one giant pain balloon to be used in the future, say on someone who's probably *immortal*? I think this explains why Kuma, on his last leg, flew straight to Marie Jois once he realized that CP0, AKA the World Government, AKA Imu, were on Egghead Island trying to kill VP. He feared that their plan had been discovered and was being thwarted then and there, and went for a last-ditch attempt to kill Imu himself, no matter how futile it really is.

1:22 printing press was invented in Germany way before the arrival of Columbus in the "new world".
2 things to note are Bonnie can still be a clone of a known character, notably big mom, and that vegapunk's definition of failures are very vague due to his perfectionist mentality. Bonnie could be a failed clone of big mom for example due to not being big.
Maybe Oda is putting emphasis on cloning because real world current events. As of right now, Colossal Biosciences are currently working on cloning woolly mammoth 🦣, and we're actually only a year away from having our first mammoth 🦣. They're talking of cloning a thylacine/Tasmanian Tiger aswell, you can also clone your dog for like 20 000$. We're right in there and maybe just went "I'll get in there too" xD
I've been thinking this over a lot. What if the reason the ROCKS Pirates broke up is because they were all captured and experimented on after the God Valley incident. The government seems very intent on creating super soldiers to some degree. It's a common thread that they keep using the strongest pirates they can get their hands on as a base for these super soldier experiments. The Pacifista being modeled after Kuma. The Seraphim being modeled after the Warlords. Now it's looking like they have been cloning the ROCKS crew. You mentioned a reveal of Bonnie being a clone. I remember when everyone thought Bonnie was one of Big Mom's daughters. What if she is her clone instead.

This is the thought that I’ve just had. Seemingly is looks like all the Rocks pirates have been cloned so far. Whitebeard could have been cloned to Weevil. Kaido has had his DNA taken. Big Mom could very much be Bonney, and Stussy is a Clone of Miss Buckingham. Blackbeard=Rocks?
I genuinely hope none of that is true. So hollow to just have a bunch of clones/failed clones of more interesting characters. Would be beyond disappointing. Stussy is fine-the rest is nonsense.
@@GourSmith genuine question, has oda done anything this disappointing in the story? coz so far i think no character has been butchered like this. i really hope he's aware of how this would turn out, especially blackbeard imo. i don't want the final bosses of one piece to be some clone. maybe if his body is simply modified like sanji then i'd give it a pass. it'd be much better if he just had rocks' will.
@@1ight2 Like I said, it would be the absolute biggest disappointment if Blackbeard was a clone of Xebec. Nope, nothing that pitiful has come from Oda. Unless he did in in a way that I can’t yet imagine, it would be such a lazy and disappointing way to go. Unless the clones all got some kind of sudden “awakening” that made them more dangerous … But even as I say that, it just wouldn’t work for me. Why create characters over 25 years just to call them clones of characters that were more interesting? I doubt any of this’ll happen, that’s how bad it is.

I feel if he was a clone people like Whitebeard and Roger would recognize him as that. Unless he's not just a clone of rock but has other dna contributors/daddies. Maybe that's were the three people thing comes from.

If I remember correctly, clones don’t know they are clones as explained in Whole Cake island when judge’s army of clones was discussed. Maybe Stussy did not yet know she was a clone and got that knowledge somehow at a later stage?
