My wife got fired for post partum a couple of months ago. We reported to Eeoc, but our app is not till December. She was manager for nearly 4 years and worked here for nearly 5 total. She had only been back from maternity leave for 3 weeks. She wrote up an employee for being late 3 times in a row then the bosses started asking if she was okay everything alright yadda yadda she wasnt going to tell them about the ppd because it wasnt affecting her. They had verbal agreement on having a different worker come in if needed to unload the truck since she was recovering from c section. At this point it had been 6 weeks or so since being cut. Well she decided to start recording these people and one day the general manager took her to the side and were talking like normal manager stuff and then she told my wife that the owner thought she was going through post partum depression and she told them yeah because she felt she had to tell them at this point. Well 6 days later she gets fired for having a worker come in during lunch rush to unload the truck and another reason they gave was that she had team leader doing the inventory because the assistant manager was out of town for a few days. On the recording where they were talking, the general manager okayed the team leader to do the inventory. All recorded. Even the day they fired her was recorded. She filed unemployment, and they sent a paper back saying she was fired for workplace negligence. There's not much evidence other than the recording of her twlling this to my wife because all of this happened so fast within 3 weeks of returning to work. My question is if there is a chance or are we wasting our time with this?

One thing I’d like to share is that whole “severance agreement” thing is meant to protect the company from any wrongdoing.
Which is tough for the majority because many of us are living check to check.
So if you can swing it don’t sign it at all, unless you don’t have that option. Which then allows any company to be protected from wrong doing.
That’s how I have read it, I’m no lawyer. I think you’ve shared a video on that a while back which was great!
Thanks for all that you do 🤟💙☕️

Well my cases is and I’m sure it often is the case that employers will be trying to build up a bad record. For the past year they have been collecting evidence. They know, it will be very hard to go against with a bad record.

If you are going through work place related problems, document everything with date! EEOC will ask you a lot of questions which can be overwhelming and you have to prove by using notes, screenshots, pictures, witnesses, and logic. Cooperate with your investigators and give them facts to back up your claims. Make sure to write emails to HR, your boss, and other leaders!!!! Every time you have a communication with someone related to the issues you are having, take a picture or forward the email to your personal email. Just be careful with the rules of your company regarding sending personal emails. You have to be able to prove your case or direct the investigator to access your email or files if you have lost your job. Good luck!

Why this is true but the fact is once you even report something like this to hr, you will most likely be terminated on the spot or have a target on your back to where they can terminate you as soon as possible.

I'm a trucker and it's very hard to explain the kindof abuse we go through because our industry is different than Lots of other jobs. They can simply harass us by not letting us get home when we need to or give us crappy loads where we get stranded without making money for days.

I am sorry to hear! Please study civil rights laws as well as employment related laws. Most people don’t have time or knowledge to know what exactly is happening to them. Unfortunately, lawyers would charge you $500-$600/ hr. Try itemize all the harassment, discrimination, and other forms of civil rights violation under Title VII in order to file a complaint. Stay there and take pictures so that you can document more of these. Remember if your rights are in fact being violated and you can prove that, they will be time where the employers will have sleepless nights like you. Good luck to you!

Seek an attorney. This is a medical condition which is documented with your doctors. Your job will claim you didn’t state that on your application. Your defense is that your seizures are not daily. Sue them.

Employment discrimination claims should never fail, due to the lack of how the title is perceived in this type of verse, for this particular video. Instead, giving info. about how to succeed in difficult situations, instead of giving video about, why things fail in difficult times-> which explains why people lack incentive in doing things properly expecting them to fail anyway is not motivation for success. This video is more of like, “Which w way do we go, Umm’, Which way do we go’ uh” looking at is as though we’re scratching our heads like a bunch of monkeys who don’t know what we’re doing. How sad and we shouldn’t be treated like this in discriminating slavery type of attacking potential conditions.

That frustrates me the most. When the government can prove you committed the crime, but won’t prosecute because they can’t prove your intention or your motive. I know in certain crimes they don’t have to prove a motive, but especially in civil cases they have to prove your intent. Even in murder, they have to prove your intent.

Currently I am 8 months pregnant and I am working as community care worker. My company don’t allow me the maternity leave. They said they will cancel my visa if I go on maternity leave. They don’t do any risk assessment for me and gives me the heavy hoist client. Mentally and emotionally I am destroyed and now I am thinking about to end my life.

Hello, my employer is ignoring my complaints! Obviously policy is not law, but they haven't even investigated, or at least the record is silent.
I have received 2 threats veiled as jokes. (Bomb in my car, and I would be thrown off a 40ft lift.) And I have been grabbed and shook violently by my shirt. Again, as a joke.
I have complained to the owner via text, since we dont have HR. Unprotected class, so I have no recourse?! How can this be legal?! I told them that I will have to seek remedy outside employment by filing a police report, and I will not return until the issue is resolved. No advice?
