I may use the sugar substitute but will be doing the chocolate torte and ganache cake for valentines. For a moister cake couldn’t you have used sugar free jam , a faux simple syrup or something in the cake like sour cream .

Hi! I think all food coloring is probably keto since it's just pigments distilled in some form of liquid. I recommend Americolor concentrated gel or powder food coloring :)

So sorry! Once you add in the oil, fold it very gently and for about 15 to 20 seconds. You don't want to over-mix at this step. Hope it works the second time around!

Hi Tammy! I'm so sorry the recipe didn't work out for you. These cake layers really get their volume from the eggs. It's very important to fold the flour in gently, so they stay as fluffy as possible. Hope they work next time! It's very delicious! I personally don't get a minty after taste from erythritol, just very slight fake sugar after taste. It's very mild in flavor
It's the cooling effect that sometimes you can get with erythritol when it's baked. I find it's la with powdered or after refrigerating.
I can use Swerve correct? Same amounts? I hope you will sell a Keto European Cake cookbook (and other desserts). I would for sure buy it.

Love the idea of adding a sugar-free jam! That would work great! Sour cream and dairy have lots of carbs so I stayed away from them

I made this cake yesterday and the batter deflated when I added the oil, any idea why? Also, frosting too sweet for me... I’ll give it a second try.
So sorry! Once you add in the oil, fold it very gently and for about 15 to 20 seconds. You don't want to over-mix at this step. Hope it works the second time around!
