- My dad and I took his 1966 Ford Mustang with a 347 Stroker Small Block Ford to The Shop Inc. in Lincoln, NE for some tuning of its Holley Sniper 4150 EFI system. The engine made 400 horsepower on a stand dyno many years ago with limited accessories and a carburetor. It made 314 wheel horsepower on the Mustang Dyno at the Shop. Chad was very friendly and knowledgeable. The car runs great. If you want to see more content about this, car let me know in the comment section!

Absolutely amazed it made that much power with gt40 heads
I thought gt40 heads were cast iron. I'm not a sbf expert though.
I think what Joe Nobody means is they are a GT40 style head. Which they are.
.?? You said Ford X306 heads, those are aluminum heads so what heads are you running
@@msk3905 there were multiple versions of aluminum GT40 heads made. The z head was a different design and flowed really good but the chambers were bigger making less compression but you could make it back with different Pistons. I use small chamber AFR heads. 🤙🏻
@@joenobody2580 0.30 of video he says he has FMS X306 heads, which are aluminum heads not cast iron. There was one GT40 head then there was GT40p head you could get off explorer motors. The head he lists in his video is an aluminum FMS performance head they had the X303 then the X306 he is listing with the Z heads being the latter design and better performing of the aluminum. I ran TW 170s then AFR185s on my 331ci motor since we are listing cyl heads
Had to stop by ☝️ cre8tive garage in the building 🏎 keep up the vids
Thanks man. Glad you liked it!
Nice 👌
Thanks buddy!
nice! keen to know whether it was stroked from a 289 block?
No. It was a 302 block out of a '90-'94 mustang. I don't know the specific year but right in there. One of the last 5.0 sbf blocks that Ford made.
Nice car, any future mods you looking to do on the engine? You think you could make around 400?
Maybe with some different heads or something that would be possible. The engine was built in 2009 or so. There are better parts available now in 2021. But it makes well more than that tiny little tire can make use of. It's a fun car go drive.
I don't think the car itself has too many mods in line. Power steering would be nice and also a stickier set of rear tires. Otherwise it's pretty close to they way he wants it.
@@605BOLT pretty sick what size tires is it running?
@@isaiah9313 they're tiny. I want to say like 225 width or something like that. On a 15x7 wheel.
@@605BOLT haha yeah imagine hooking with those is hard sometimes
What cam is in this motor sir?
Dang I don't actually know. It was built in 2009ish time frame so I don't know exactly. Sorry I can't be more help.
Thinking about ordering me a 347 crate motor balanced and all 415 hp they say with a dyno sheet for my 66 fairlane
I would believe it. Heads and whatnot have come a long ways since 2007.
I looked at those same engines 415 hp ive come to conclusion i dont believe it
For the record, this engine made 410 or something back in 2007 on a stand dyno. So we're talking wheel HP vs crank HP.
Cam seems mild, what's the cam specs and compression ratio..?
Idk what cam it has. Runs on 91 pump gas so probably could use some upgrades in both of those departments.
Lol
A T-45? a T-5 is better an AOD is the best! LOL
It's pretty much just a cruiser hot rod car. Not a racer. It feels really notchy when you drive it so that is fun.
@@605BOLT maybe not for all passengers! ha ha ha
It's not too dang bad with some practice. Not faceplated or anything. 😂
T-45 is better than T-5 by what I think I know. Came after the T-5 in Cobras and 4.6 Mustangs. T-5 are pretty easy to break if I recall correctly.
Nice vid!
