- To battle the likes of the Creta and Kushaq mid-size SUVs that it will go up against, MG offers a choice of two petrol units: a 1498cc naturally aspirated engine developing 110hp and 144Nm, and a more powerful, 1349cc turbocharged engine that churns out 140hp and 220Nm. The 1.5 has a 5-speed manual gearbox and an 8-step CVT automatic, while the Turbo is available with only a 6-speed torque convertor auto. And while competitors like the Creta and Seltos also offer a diesel, the Astor will make do with petrol power only, just like the Kicks, Taigun and Kushaq.

Mileage will always be an issue with 1.5 Ltr petrol vehicles .. I have not seen any CNG Astor still today .. so difficult to commit on that !

Hi. I want to purchase a petrol car in delhi. I want to keep it for almost 15 years. My monthly run is around 350km out of it 80% is on highway.
My budget is around 8 lakhs. I want touchscreen infotainment and reverse parking camera pre installed so that i don't have to do any aftermarket upgradations. I owned santro gls petrol and was very happy with that but it's registration is almost getting over in delhi.

I have booked the car on 6 Nov, I still haven't got the delivery, it's been 8 months still they are saying no MG is playing con games with customers. Advertising the style model, selling only Top variants. Comparing it with Hyundai or Suzuki or Honda it's not even worth wasting time for. Go for other brands. Don't waste your time on MG.

This is the worst car among all models and all companies with respect to power. My cousin brother has done blender mistake by purchasing this car. It was not able to climb shopping mall parking area in Bangalore. I came back to basement then again climed with AC of. You can't overtake even auto some times. Useless car. Please don't look at features. I can say Alto is far better than this with respect to power. Mileage is 5-6 in city and 10-11 in highway. Friends my suggestion is not to by this car even it comes for free. I have bad experience
