  • In this video I go over what VFR and RSSI is and how I use it in my setup. In the video, I mention an early video I made which shows Telemetry information real time during flight. Here is that link: • GPS vs. Airspeed Freew...

    Again, genius. Takes the usual approach and with the 'Min" setting makes it all so much more useful.

    What a great radio with the screen at the bottom for programming... brilliant video... I'm about to leave Spektrum and loving the added benefits of what FRSKY has to offer...value and quality and excellent software.
    I'm want to use a T Motor program box the AM LINK that doubles up as a UBEC and a Telemetry on the Tx screen for ESC temperature ,mAh used Revs etc a really neat solution for what normally is used once and left in your toolbox .

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  10 месяцев назад +1

      Interesting. I assume it's designed to work with their escs? Frsky also has a line of ESCs that provide telemetry like that as well. No external box needed. I personally haven't used them as i would use that with my planes that use over 100 - 160amp escs. Frsky does not make escs that big yet. I'll read up more on that solution... thanks

      @@all_rc Not 100% sure it only works with T Motor ESC but most likely I would say.
      I'm about to buy either the X18SE or X20S really torn between them...could do with actually holding them.

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  10 месяцев назад +1

      You need to hold them... i have the 20s and the XE. I bought the 20s when it was the only one they offered. If the 18s was out, i would have bought that. It feels so much better in my hands (and most people that i know that tried both). That plus the extra trims would have sealed it for me. The smaller screen on the 18 would not have bothered me as much. Definitely look at the S versions as you get better gimbals, in my opinion.

    Very nicely explained and also mostly applies to other FRSky TXs. I’m wondering how to set alarm threshold for VFR as it’s a new thing showing up on my X series RXs and I’ll start with 50% and take some flight logs.

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  Год назад

      I never set it. It is already set. If you go into the options you'll see a default alarm value for low and critical. Whatever those are set to is the alarm value.

    Can you make video how to setup a special function to read out loud the air speed values during landing?

    Could you please tell me what your default VFR alarm values are set at? Ive got RSSI defaults at 45 and 42dB but it's only recently I am able to see the VFR value and there is no alarm set as yet on my taranis TX.

      @all_rc  11 месяцев назад +1

      I am so sorry. I forgot to respond to this. The default value for VFR is 50%.

    I like what you did here thank you for the video. Could you tell me how you got it to display the lowest value for the flight? Thank you

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  6 месяцев назад

      When you choose what sensor to display like VFR, after you choose it, go back to it and hit and hold down. You should see more options. One should be either minimum or maximum.

    Lol I always delete VFR, mine says “vfr low warning” all the time. It’s so annoying

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  8 месяцев назад

      Hmm... what receiver? I hardly ever get a low vfr warning. I run mostly td series receiver but i have run others without an issue. My friend runs mostly frsky's 2.4ghz stabilized receivers and he rarely gets any vfr warnings... VFR is the number of frames returned that are good in percentage. If you are getting the warning then at least half your frames are bad. I would be hesitant to fly like that until i figure out the issue. Might be a certain area at your flying site if its consistent with many other planes. Others have the same issue where you fly?

      @@all_rc well a few planes. Nothing with Tandem. It's the SR10 pro on my FW-190 with Saito radial. I just deleted the sensor. Problem solved lol

      Ah. Do you ever get sensor conflict warnings? When running two receivers, I've been told that you need to turn off telemetry on your secondary receiver. Wonder if its just a conflict issue
